What does one hourly unit cover for a given EC2 instance type?
Each dimension bills for one running instance of that specific EC2 type, per hour. The rate covers the Fedora 40 software and vendor support running on that instance. Running two instances of the same type bills two hourly rates. Instance size and family set the rate.
Am I charged the hourly software rate when my instance is stopped?
The software rate meters running instance-hours. A stopped or powered-off instance does not accrue the Fedora 40 hourly charge. You still pay any underlying AWS charges, such as storage for the attached volume. Charges resume when you restart the instance.
What do I get with the image beyond the software itself?
The image deploys Fedora 40 with recent updates applied and includes vendor support. If you have an issue, you open a support ticket with your AWS subscription ID and the product name, and a representative follows up. This support is bundled into the hourly rate.

The best part of Fedora is its a very big and advance solution for all the needs of technical support, The support provided by Fedora is useful for majorly all the developers

The development of application using the Fedora plugin sometime shows minor conflict and those conflicts are hard to manage with real application, But its a very supportive tool.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Usualy I prefer to use developer tools when my client request for that, But yes the development using this Operating System is Best because of a huge community support

Although Fedora is not the most useful Linux-based operating system, it is pretty simple to install. There are also no large installation iso files.
