AWS Marketplace now accepts line of credit payments through the PNC Vendor Finance program. This program is available to select AWS customers in the US, excluding NV, NC, ND, TN, & VT.
Pricing is based on actual usage, with charges varying according to how much you consume. Subscriptions have no end date and may be canceled any time. Alternatively, you can pay upfront for a contract, which typically covers your anticipated usage for the contract duration. Any usage beyond contract will incur additional usage-based costs.
Additional AWS infrastructure costs may apply. Use the AWS Pricing Calculator to estimate your infrastructure costs.
If you are an AWS Free Tier customer with a free plan, you are eligible to subscribe to this offer. You can use free credits to cover the cost of eligible AWS infrastructure. See AWS Free Tier for more details. If you created an AWS account before July 15th, 2025, and qualify for the Legacy AWS Free Tier, Amazon EC2 charges for Micro instances are free for up to 750 hours per month. See Legacy AWS Free Tier for more details.
You pay by the hour for Windows Server 2022 running on Amazon EC2. Each dimension maps to a specific EC2 instance type, so your cost follows the instance you choose. There are no tiers or plans to select. Instead, you pick the instance size and family that fits your workload. Smaller instances like t3.micro carry lower hourly rates, while larger compute, memory, storage, and GPU instances carry higher rates. You are billed only for the hours you run. The listing adds vendor support on top of the deployed image, billed through the same hourly usage model.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What does one hourly unit map to for billing?
Each unit is one running EC2 instance of the type you select, billed per hour. The rate covers Windows Server 2022 plus vendor support layered on that image. Instance size and family set the hourly rate. Larger compute, memory, storage, or GPU instances carry higher rates than smaller ones.
Am I charged when my EC2 instance is stopped or paused?
The hourly software charge meters running time only. A stopped or paused instance does not accrue this software fee. You resume charges when you start the instance again. Note that underlying AWS storage for the stopped instance may still incur separate AWS fees.
What happens to my cost if I switch to a different instance type?
Your rate follows the instance you run at any given time. There are no tiers or commitments to migrate. Moving from a smaller instance to a larger compute, memory, or GPU instance changes the hourly rate to match that instance. You are billed only for the hours each instance runs.
