You pay by the hour for Windows Server 2025 with TPM, billed only while an instance runs. Pricing is organized by AWS EC2 instance type, so your rate depends on the instance you choose. Options range from small general-purpose sizes to large memory-, compute-, storage-, and GPU-optimized machines, plus bare metal choices. Larger instances with more CPU, memory, or accelerators carry higher hourly rates. This structure lets you match cost to workload size. Vendor support is included with the image. Your total cost combines this software rate with separate AWS infrastructure charges.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What does one hourly unit cover for this Windows Server 2025 image?
Each unit is one running EC2 instance of the type you select, billed per hour. The software rate reflects that instance's size and family. One virtual machine equals one billable unit. Bare metal options bill per physical server. Your chosen instance type determines the hourly software rate you pay.
Am I charged the software rate when my instance is stopped?
The software charge meters running time only. A stopped or powered-off instance does not accrue the hourly software fee. You may still see separate AWS charges for attached storage while the instance is stopped. Charges resume when you start the instance again.
Does support come with the image, and how do I request it?
Vendor support is included with the image. To open a ticket, you submit a form describing the issue, along with your AWS subscription ID and the product name. A representative then follows up with you.
