The software charge meters running time only. A stopped or powered-off instance does not accrue the hourly software fee. You may still see separate AWS charges for attached storage while the instance is stopped. Charges resume when you start the instance again.
Vendor support is included with the image. To open a ticket, you submit a form describing the issue, along with your AWS subscription ID and the product name. A representative then follows up with you.

Log in as Administrator
Follow these steps:
- Open the Amazon EC2 console, and then choose Instances.
- Select the check box for the instance, and then expand the Actions dropdown list. For the old console, choose Get Windows Password. For the new console, choose Security, and then choose Get Windows Password. Note: When you first launch a new instance, this option might not be available for a few minutes.
- Choose Browse, select your key pair file, and then choose Open. -or- Paste the contents of your key pair into the text box.
