Pricing is based on actual usage, with charges varying according to how much you consume. Subscriptions have no end date and may be canceled any time. Alternatively, you can pay upfront for a contract, which typically covers your anticipated usage for the contract duration. Any usage beyond contract will incur additional usage-based costs.
Additional AWS infrastructure costs may apply. Use the AWS Pricing Calculator to estimate your infrastructure costs.
You pay by the hour for AlmaLinux 10 running on ARM-based EC2 instances. Each pricing dimension maps to a specific EC2 instance type, so your rate depends on the instance you launch. Options span general-purpose, compute-optimized, memory-optimized, storage-optimized, and accelerated families in sizes from nano and medium up to metal. Larger instances carry more vCPUs, memory, or storage and bill at higher hourly rates. You are not locked into a term or fixed quantity; charges accrue only while instances run, and you can mix instance types to match each workload.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What do I get for the hourly rate on each instance dimension?
Each dimension covers the AlmaLinux 10 software license on a specific ARM-based EC2 instance type. The rate pays for the operating system image running on that instance. You pay AWS separately for the underlying compute, storage, and network resources the instance uses.
Am I charged when an instance is stopped or paused?
The hourly software charge meters running time only. When you stop an instance, the AlmaLinux 10 charge stops accruing. Underlying AWS storage fees for attached volumes may still apply while the instance is stopped, but those are billed by AWS, not through this listing.
Can I run several different instance types at once under this listing?
Yes. You can launch multiple instances across different dimensions at the same time. Each running instance bills at its own hourly rate for its instance type. Charges add together on your invoice. There is no fixed quantity or term commitment, so you match instance types to each workload.
