Deploy BridgeLink® as a containerized service on Amazon ECS or ECS Anywhere via a single CloudFormation template. Supports HL7 v2/v3, FHIR, DICOM, X12, XML, and JSON for healthcare interoperability without EC2 instance management.
BridgeLink® is an enterprise-grade open-source healthcare integration platform, built on a hardened and modernized fork of open source Mirth® Connect. It enables healthcare data exchange across HL7 v2/v3, FHIR, DICOM, X12, XML, JSON, and Delimited Text with built-in message transformation and routing. Built-in connectors support HTTPS REST APIs, SOAP web services, TCP/MLLP, SFTP, direct database read and write, and much more.
This listing delivers BridgeLink as a containerized workload for Amazon ECS or ECS Anywhere, deployed via a single AWS CloudFormation template which automatically provisions a Network Load Balancer and supports Amazon RDS Aurora or PostgreSQL as the backing database.
What's new in BridgeLink:
- Dynamic Lookup Gateway (DLG) - A high-speed code mapping and crosswalk engine. Manage provider directories, LOINC, SNOMED, ICD-10, CPT, and custom value sets without hardcoded logic.
- Version History - Integrated Git-based version control for channels and code templates. Track changes, compare revisions, and roll back configurations at any time.

This listing uses a single usage-based dimension. You pay by the container hour, so charges accrue only while the container image runs. There are no tiers, instance sizes, or add-ons to choose from. Your cost scales directly with how long you run the container. The longer the image stays active, the higher the total. If you stop the container, hourly charges stop as well. This pay-as-you-go structure lets your spending match your actual runtime usage.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What does one container hour cover for this listing?
One container hour means the software runs for one hour inside a running container. Billing meters the time the container image stays active. Each hour of runtime counts as one unit. Partial usage follows the metering set by the hourly rate. Cost tracks total active runtime across your deployment.
Am I charged when the container is stopped or idle?
Charges apply only while the container image runs. If you stop the container, hourly software charges stop too. A paused or powered-off container does not accrue software charges. Note that underlying AWS resources, such as storage, may still bill separately even when the software is not running.
Does cost increase if I run more channels or handle more message volume?
No. Billing meters container runtime hours, not message volume, channel count, or data throughput. Running more integration channels within the same container does not change the hourly rate. Your bill scales with how many hours the container stays active, not with how much data it processes.

Containers are lightweight, portable execution environments that wrap server application software in a filesystem that includes everything it needs to run. Container applications run on supported container runtimes and orchestration services, such as Amazon Elastic Container Service (Amazon ECS) or Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (Amazon EKS). Both eliminate the need for you to install and operate your own container orchestration software by managing and scheduling containers on a scalable cluster of virtual machines.

Additional details
Usage instructions
Launch the CloudFormation template to deploy the BridgeLink 26.3.1 Docker image. The template creates an Amazon ECS task definition, an ECS service, and a cluster to host the service. It also provisions a Network Load Balancer to route traffic to TCP ports 9001-9004 for BridgeLink services and port 8443 for the administrator interface. Ensure that the ECS security group allows all TCP traffic from the load balancer's security group.
For the database, you can either select an existing Amazon RDS instance or create a new RDS Aurora/PostgreSQL instance and define the database and schema. If creating a new RDS instance, first create a subnet group in the AWS RDS console and ensure it belongs to the same VPC as the ECS service.
The BridgeLink default index page will be accessible at https://<public_dns>:8443, or via the BridgeLink Administrator Launcher (https://www.innovarhealthcare.com/bridgelink-downloads) at https://<public_dns>:8443. The BridgeLink Administrator Launcher can be downloaded to connect to port 8443 of the load balancer.
