AWS Marketplace now accepts line of credit payments through the PNC Vendor Finance program. This program is available to select AWS customers in the US, excluding NV, NC, ND, TN, & VT.
This listing uses one pricing dimension: container hours. You pay based on the number of hours the container image runs. There are no tiers or fixed subscriptions to choose from. Your cost scales directly with runtime, so you pay only for the hours you use. This billing applies to the packaged container image that supports data integration and interoperability between healthcare software systems.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What counts as one billable container hour?
You are billed for each hour the container image runs. Metering tracks the running time of the deployed container. Partial usage is measured against the hourly unit. The count reflects actual runtime, not the number of integrations or messages processed inside the container.
Am I charged when the container is stopped or paused?
Software charges apply only while the container runs. A stopped container does not accrue container-hour charges. Underlying AWS resources, such as storage, may still incur separate AWS fees. The hourly software meter counts running time alone.
How does this hourly pricing behave as my usage grows?
Cost scales directly with runtime hours. There is no upfront commitment or fixed subscription. If you run the container continuously, you accrue more hours and a matching bill. If you run it intermittently, you pay only for the hours it is active. Running more instances multiplies the hours billed.

Containers are lightweight, portable execution environments that wrap server application software in a filesystem that includes everything it needs to run. Container applications run on supported container runtimes and orchestration services, such as Amazon Elastic Container Service (Amazon ECS) or Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (Amazon EKS). Both eliminate the need for you to install and operate your own container orchestration software by managing and scheduling containers on a scalable cluster of virtual machines.

Usage instructions
The user can launch the CloudFormation template to deploy the Mirth Connect 4.5.0 Docker image. The template will create an Elastic Container Service ECS task definition, an ECS service, and a cluster to host the service. It will also provision a Network Load Balancer NLB to route traffic to TCP ports 9001 - 9004 for Mirth Connect services and port 8443 for the administrator interface. Ensure that the ECS security group allows all TCP traffic from the load balancer's security group. For the database, users can either select an existing Amazon RDS instance or create a new RDS Aurora/Postgres instance and define the database and schema. If creating a new RDS instance, users must first create a subnet group in the AWS RDS console, ensuring it is within the same VPC as the EC2 instance. Additionally, users should issue an SSL certificate via Amazon Certificate Manager (ACM) please follow the instruction https://docs.aws.amazon.com/acm/latest/userguide/gs-acm-request-public.html , map it to a domain name for the load balancer, and enter the certificate ARN as a parameter in the CloudFormation template. The Mirth Connect default index page will be accessible at http://<public_dns>:8080, or via the Mirth Connect Administrator Launcher at https://<public_dns>:8443. The Mirth Connect Administrator Launcher can be downloaded to connect to port 8443 of the load balancer.
