Overview
BridgeLink® is an enterprise-grade open-source healthcare integration platform, built on a hardened and modernized fork of open source Mirth® Connect. It enables healthcare data exchange across HL7 v2/v3, FHIR, DICOM, X12, XML, JSON, and Delimited Text with built-in message transformation and routing. Built-in connectors support HTTPS REST APIs, SOAP web services, TCP/MLLP, SFTP, direct database read and write, and much more.
What's new in BridgeLink:
- Dynamic Lookup Gateway (DLG) - A high-speed code mapping and crosswalk engine. Manage provider directories, LOINC, SNOMED, ICD-10, CPT, and custom value sets without hardcoded logic.
- Version History - Integrated Git-based version control for channels and code templates. Track changes, compare revisions, and roll back configurations at any time.

Dimensions summary
You pay by the hour for BridgeLink Standard Edition, billed on the EC2 instance type you run. Each dimension maps to a specific instance size, so your rate follows the compute, memory, and storage capacity you select. Smaller instances like t2.nano or m1.small carry lower hourly rates, while large memory, GPU, or bare-metal instances carry higher rates. You choose the instance that fits your integration workload and scale up or down by switching instance types. Total cost depends on how many hours you run and which instance you pick.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
You pay the hourly software rate for BridgeLink Standard Edition tied to the EC2 instance type you launch. Each hour reflects the compute, memory, and storage class of that instance. AWS infrastructure charges for the underlying EC2 instance are separate and appear on your AWS bill alongside the software rate.
The hourly software rate meters running time only. When you stop an instance, the BridgeLink Standard Edition software charge stops accruing. Stopped instances may still incur AWS storage fees for attached volumes, but those are AWS infrastructure costs, not the software licence rate.
BridgeLink Standard Edition provides production-ready integration with hardening such as integrated SSL and multi-factor authentication. It supports secure transmission of health information across systems in most formats. The same feature set applies regardless of which instance type you select; only the hourly rate changes with instance size.
