Top-of-mind questions for buyers
A host is an M1 Mac node that runs your macOS virtual machines. Each physical M1 node counts as one host. The base dimension covers your initial platform host. The additional capacity dimension adds more M1 host nodes as your team needs more Mac build resources.
You pay for the Orka Platform on AWS as your base host, billed annually. Each extra M1 host node adds a separate additional-capacity charge on the same annual term. The charges add together. Your total scales with the number of host nodes you run.
Billing applies per M1 host node, not per virtual machine. You can launch multiple ephemeral macOS VMs on a single host without added software charges. Adding more VMs does not raise your bill unless you add another host node to expand capacity.
