    Value-Added Technical Enhancements

    • Spec-Driven Dynamic Performance Optimization Upon first boot, the system automatically analyzes the underlying EC2 instance specs and dynamically applies tailored sysctl kernel adjustments, network buffer allocations, and disk I/O parameters.

Note: These automated adjustments provide a general-purpose, high-throughput cloud baseline. System administrators are encouraged to fine-tune specific kernel parameters according to their unique workload demands.

    • Automated Weekly Build Pipeline & Vulnerability Mitigation Our continuous integration pipeline rebuilds and validates this AMI weekly, integrating the latest upstream security advisories and critical CVE patches to significantly minimize post-boot update overhead.

    • Baseline Security Hardening Pre-configured with essential OS security baselines, a minimized default attack surface, and streamlined network access (OS firewall disabled by default).

    • Supplemental avoracloud Package Repository Includes a built-in custom RPM repository (avoracloud) providing pre-compiled AWS utilities (e.g., awscli-2, amazon-cloudwatch-agent, amazon-efs-utils, mount-s3, s3fs-fuse).

      • Minimal Footprint by Default: To preserve upstream system purity, the avoracloud repository is disabled by default, and only amazon-ssm-agent is pre-installed out of the box.
      • Testing Notice: Packages are compiled from upstream source releases. We recommend evaluating packages in non-production environments prior to production deployment.

    Dimensions summary

This listing bills the CentOS 10 Minimal image by the hour, with a separate rate for each supported EC2 instance type. You pay only for the hours you run. The price you see reflects the software on the image; you also pay AWS separately for the underlying compute. Rates scale with the instance you pick, from small general-purpose types up to large memory, storage, compute, GPU, and bare-metal options. Choose the instance size that fits your workload, and the hourly charge adjusts accordingly. There is no upfront commitment or fixed term.

    Top-of-mind questions for buyers

The hourly rate covers the CentOS 10 Minimal software on the image. You pay AWS separately for the underlying EC2 compute, storage, and data transfer. The software charge and the AWS infrastructure charge appear as distinct line items and bill independently for each running instance-hour.
The software rate meters running instance-hours only. A fully stopped instance does not accrue software charges. You may still pay AWS for attached storage while the instance is stopped, but the image's hourly software charge applies only while the instance runs.
Each EC2 instance type carries its own hourly software rate. Smaller general-purpose types bill at one rate, while memory, storage, compute, GPU, and bare-metal types bill at their own rates. Your charge follows the instance you launch, so choosing a size sets the applicable hourly rate.

    Amazon Machine Image (AMI)

An AMI is a virtual image that provides the information required to launch an instance. Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) instances are virtual servers on which you can run your applications and workloads, offering varying combinations of CPU, memory, storage, and networking resources. You can launch as many instances from as many different AMIs as you need.

    Usage instructions

Note: For all Avora Linux AMI products, the default login username is ec2-user.

    Connect via SSH:

    1. Launch the Instance: Launch an instance from this AMI using the EC2 Console or AWS CLI. Ensure you select a Key Pair during the launch process.

    2. Security Group: Make sure the Security Group attached to the instance allows inbound traffic on TCP port 22 (SSH) from your IP address.

    3. Connect: Open your terminal or SSH client and connect using the default username and your private key file.

      ssh -i "your-key-pair.pem" ec2-user@<Public-DNS-or-IP>
    4. AWS Documentation: For detailed instructions on connecting to your instance, please refer to the official AWS User Guide: https://docs.aws.amazon.com/AWSEC2/latest/UserGuide/connect-to-linux-instance.html

Connect via AWS Systems Manager (SSM): This AMI comes pre-installed with the AWS SSM Agent. If you attach an IAM role with the AmazonSSMManagedInstanceCore policy to the instance, you can securely connect via Session Manager in the AWS Console without opening port 22 or managing SSH keys. (For using Session Manager, please refer to the official AWS User Guide: https://docs.aws.amazon.com/AWSEC2/latest/UserGuide/connect-with-systems-manager-session-manager.html )
