What does one billing unit mean here, and how is it counted?
Each dimension maps to one AWS EC2 instance type, billed per hour of running time. One unit is a single running instance of that type. The image runs on one instance at a time, so your charge reflects how many hours each launched instance stays active.
Am I charged when the instance is stopped or powered off?
Hourly software charges apply only while the instance runs. A stopped or powered-off instance does not accrue this hourly charge. You may still pay separate AWS fees for attached storage, but the image itself meters running time only.
If I change instance type, does my hourly rate change automatically?
Yes. Each instance type has its own hourly rate that scales with its CPU, memory, storage, or GPU resources. When you launch a larger or smaller type, charges follow that type's rate. The change is not automatic; you choose the type at launch.

Connect via SSH:
Launch the Instance: Launch an instance from this AMI using the EC2 Console or AWS CLI. Ensure you select a Key Pair during the launch process.
Security Group: Make sure the Security Group attached to the instance allows inbound traffic on TCP port 22 (SSH) from your IP address.
Connect: Open your terminal or SSH client and connect using the default username and your private key file.
