Overview
InfoConnect Hub is a lightweight, scalable, easy to implement component, delivered as a pre-built AWS AMI, that helps surfacing IBM i business logic as standards based REST API, and enables bi-directional event streaming and data replication use cases with little to no custom development required. The product can be deployed natively in customers' AWS environment, either as a stand-alone component or in combination with other Infoview products (such as InfoCDC change data capture solution) and AWS services (API manager, SNS, Lambdas, etc.) to fit customers' specific infrastructure and functional requirements.
The InfoConnect Hub supports the following operations:
1.) Call IBM i (AS400) Program, Service Program, or system command, 2.) Listen for IBM i Data Queue messages and apply changes to JDBC compliant databases, or place them to AWS SNS or supported JMS queues, and 3.) Read single message from or write single message to IBM i Data Queue

Dimensions summary
You pay by the hour based on the EC2 instance size you run InfoConnect Hub on. All seven options are usage-based and bill only for the hours the instance runs. The t3 family (t3.medium, t3.large, t3.xlarge, t3.2xlarge) and the m6i family (m6i.large, m6i.xlarge, m6i.2xlarge) scale from smaller to larger compute and memory capacity. Larger sizes suit higher transaction volumes. When you launch from AWS Marketplace, no separate software license is required. Pick the instance that fits your expected usage and change it as needs shift.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
Each charge covers one running EC2 instance of the size you pick, running InfoConnect Hub. The t3 and m6i sizes differ in vCPU and memory. Larger sizes handle higher transaction volumes. The Hub needs Java 17 or higher and network access to your IBM i servers on specific ports.
Hourly software charges accrue only while the instance runs. A stopped instance stops the software charge. Stopped instances may still incur underlying AWS storage fees for attached volumes, but the metered software subscription counts running hours only.
No. When you launch InfoConnect Hub from AWS Marketplace, no separate license is required. The metered hourly subscription covers it. The stand-alone binary version obtained outside a marketplace does require a license key, but that does not apply to these hourly instances.
