AWS Marketplace now accepts line of credit payments through the PNC Vendor Finance program. This program is available to select AWS customers in the US, excluding NV, NC, ND, TN, & VT.
Pricing is based on actual usage, with charges varying according to how much you consume. Subscriptions have no end date and may be canceled any time. Alternatively, you can pay upfront for a contract, which typically covers your anticipated usage for the contract duration. Any usage beyond contract will incur additional usage-based costs.
Additional AWS infrastructure costs may apply. Use the AWS Pricing Calculator to estimate your infrastructure costs.
You pay by the hour based on the ARM-based EC2 instance type you run. Each dimension maps to one instance size, so pricing scales with the compute, memory, and storage that instance provides. Smaller instances like t4g.nano and c8g.medium cost less per hour, while larger ones like r8g.48xlarge and metal instances cost more. Every option delivers the same PCI-compliant, hardened Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9 image with support. You select the instance family and size that fits your workload, and hourly billing follows your actual usage.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What does one hourly unit cover for a given instance type?
One unit is one running ARM-based EC2 instance of that specific size, billed per hour. Each dimension maps to a single instance type. The hourly rate covers the PCI-compliant, hardened Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9 software image plus support running on that instance.
Am I charged the software fee when an instance is stopped or paused?
The hourly software fee meters running time only. A fully stopped instance stops accruing the software charge. Stopped instances may still incur separate AWS storage fees for attached volumes, but those are billed by AWS, not as part of this listing's hourly rate.
How does my bill change if I run multiple instances or switch instance sizes?
Each running instance bills independently at its own hourly rate. Running two instances doubles the software charge for those hours. Switching to a larger instance type raises the hourly rate; switching smaller lowers it. Cost tracks the specific instance sizes you run and the hours each runs.
