AWS Marketplace now accepts line of credit payments through the PNC Vendor Finance program. This program is available to select AWS customers in the US, excluding NV, NC, ND, TN, & VT.
Pricing is based on actual usage, with charges varying according to how much you consume. Subscriptions have no end date and may be canceled any time. Alternatively, you can pay upfront for a contract, which typically covers your anticipated usage for the contract duration. Any usage beyond contract will incur additional usage-based costs.
Additional AWS infrastructure costs may apply. Use the AWS Pricing Calculator to estimate your infrastructure costs.
If you are an AWS Free Tier customer with a free plan, you are eligible to subscribe to this offer. You can use free credits to cover the cost of eligible AWS infrastructure. See AWS Free Tier for more details. If you created an AWS account before July 15th, 2025, and qualify for the Legacy AWS Free Tier, Amazon EC2 charges for Micro instances are free for up to 750 hours per month. See Legacy AWS Free Tier for more details.
You pay by the hour for the compute you run. Each dimension maps to a specific EC2 instance type, so your rate follows the instance size and family you pick. Smaller instances bill at a lower hourly rate; larger memory, compute, GPU, or storage-optimized instances bill at higher hourly rates. There are no tiers or plans to choose between. You select the instance type that fits your workload, and billing accrues only while the instance runs. This listing pairs each instance with a PCI-compliant, hardened Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9 image and vendor support.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What does one hour of billing include beyond the EC2 instance itself?
Each hour bundles the running EC2 instance with a PCI-compliant, hardened Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9 image. That image ships with security controls enabled and documentation for PCI compliance. Vendor support is also included. You run the instance; the hourly rate covers the software layer maintained by the seller.
Am I charged when an instance is stopped or paused?
The software rate meters running time only, so a stopped instance stops accruing hourly software charges. You are billed per hour while the instance runs. Note that underlying AWS storage or other AWS resources may still incur separate AWS fees even when the instance is not running.
How does my hourly rate change when I pick a bigger instance?
Each dimension maps to one EC2 instance type, and the rate is set per type. Moving to a larger memory, compute, GPU, or storage-optimized instance means a higher hourly rate. Running more instances at once multiplies the charge, since each running instance bills its own hourly rate independently.

An AMI is a virtual image that provides the information required to launch an instance. Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) instances are virtual servers on which you can run your applications and workloads, offering varying combinations of CPU, memory, storage, and networking resources. You can launch as many instances from as many different AMIs as you need.
This image comes pre-configured with PCI compliance already integrated. However, it's worth noting that the use of a hardened system could call for certain adaptations. The advanced security measures might restrict some functionalities or require additional actions for certain operations due to its hardened nature. Should any issues arise, we recommend reaching out to the software provider for further assistance.
