This is a repackaged open source software product wherein additional charges apply for a hardened, minimal Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10.2 image built and verified by Rinne Labs.

Red Hat Enterprise Linux is assembled from free and open source software. This listing charges neither for the operating system nor for support.
The charge covers the hardened build: a security baseline applied to the image at build time, an automated assertion suite that proves every control of that baseline is live on a booted instance before the image is published, and continued rebuilds carrying current security updates.
Hardening baseline
Every control below is applied at build time and verified by an automated assertion against a booted instance before publication. The image records the baseline it carries in a versioned marker at /etc/rinne-labs-hardening.

How do I connect? SSH in as ec2-user with the key pair you chose at launch: ssh -i your-key.pem ec2-user@your-instance. Password login is disabled and root may not log in over SSH; run sudo -i for a root shell.
Do I need a subscription? No. The image is registered with Red Hat Update Infrastructure and receives updates through AWS without a Red Hat subscription.
Will the version change? No. This listing stays on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10.2 and is rebuilt only for security updates. To follow 10.x as it moves, use the rolling Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10 listing.

Instead, each dimension maps to a specific Amazon EC2 instance type, and you choose the one matching your workload. The hourly software rate scales with the size and family of the instance you run, from small general-purpose types up to large memory, compute, storage, and GPU-accelerated machines. You are billed only while an instance runs. All images include Red Hat Update Infrastructure at no extra cost. AWS charges its own separate EC2 infrastructure fees on top.

Each dimension maps to one specific Amazon EC2 instance type running this image. You pay the listed software rate for every hour that one instance of that type runs. Larger instance types carry higher hourly rates. You choose the type that fits your CPU, memory, storage, or GPU needs.
The software rate meters running time only. A fully stopped instance does not accrue software charges. When you restart it, hourly billing resumes. Note that AWS may still charge its own separate fees for attached storage while the instance is stopped.

- Use the SSH key provided at the launch of the instance
- Run 'sudo su -' to get a root prompt
