It comes with RHUI configured to keep the running image updated at no extra cost, security updates through the release date, SELinux enabled, and cloud-init enabled.
Am I charged when my instance is stopped or paused?
The hourly software charge meters running time on your chosen instance type. A fully stopped instance does not accrue software charges. Stopped instances may still incur underlying AWS storage fees for attached volumes, but those are separate from this listing's per-hour software rate.
If I move to a larger instance type, how does my bill change?
Each dimension maps to one EC2 instance type, and the hourly rate follows the CPU, memory, storage, or GPU capacity of that type. Launching a larger type bills at that type's higher hourly rate for the hours it runs. The change is not automatic; you choose the instance you launch.
