You pay by the hour for the EC2 instance you choose to run this software. Each dimension maps to a specific AWS instance type, so the price scales with the compute size you select. Smaller shared instances like t2.micro or t3.nano cost less per hour, while larger compute, memory, storage, and GPU instances such as m7a.48xlarge, x2idn.metal, or p5.48xlarge cost more. You are not locked into tiers or feature levels. Instead, you match the instance to your workload and traffic needs. The software runs the same across every instance; only the underlying hardware capacity differs.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
Each hour maps to one running EC2 instance of the type you select. The charge covers the software licence bundled into the machine image. This includes the Mautic platform, the Alma Linux operating system, the database, the web server, and the scripting runtime. You pay for each hour the instance runs.
The software fee meters running time only. A stopped or powered-off instance does not accrue the hourly software charge. Note that separate AWS storage fees may still apply for the stored disk while the instance is stopped. Those AWS infrastructure charges are billed by AWS, not by this software.
You move to a larger instance type from the list to add compute, memory, storage, or GPU capacity. The hourly rate then follows the new instance. There is no automatic tier jump. You choose and switch the instance yourself, and billing adjusts to match the type you run.
