Pricing is based on actual usage, with charges varying according to how much you consume. Subscriptions have no end date and may be canceled any time. Alternatively, you can pay upfront for a contract, which typically covers your anticipated usage for the contract duration. Any usage beyond contract will incur additional usage-based costs.
Additional AWS infrastructure costs may apply. Use the AWS Pricing Calculator to estimate your infrastructure costs.
You pay by the hour based on the AWS EC2 instance size you run. All 22 dimensions bill the same way; they differ only by the underlying compute instance. Options span the t2 and t3 burstable families and the m3, m4, and m5 general-purpose families, from medium up to 16xlarge. Larger instances carry more CPU and memory, so their hourly rate rises accordingly. You pick the instance that matches your workload, and the software runs on top of it. Each dimension bundles the same security and 24/7 support for Zabbix monitoring.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What does one hour of billing cover for a dimension like m5.large or t3.xlarge?
Each hour meters one running EC2 instance of the size you selected. The rate reflects that instance's CPU and memory. You are billed for every hour the instance runs, and the software, security scans, and 24/7 Zabbix support come bundled at the same hourly rate.
Am I charged when the instance is stopped or powered off?
The hourly software charge applies only while the instance runs. A stopped instance stops accruing software charges. You may still pay underlying AWS storage fees for the attached volume, but the software meter counts running hours only.
How do I move to a larger instance if my monitoring workload grows?
You are not locked into one instance size. Zabbix scales to handle growing environments and data volumes. To get more CPU and memory, run a larger instance type from the list. Billing then switches to that instance's hourly rate for the hours it runs.

An AMI is a virtual image that provides the information required to launch an instance. Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) instances are virtual servers on which you can run your applications and workloads, offering varying combinations of CPU, memory, storage, and networking resources. You can launch as many instances from as many different AMIs as you need.
