This is a basic version of OpenSearch.
• The setup can be customized or extended upon request.
• Application configuration can be modified (e.g., enable plugins, adjust resource limits).
• Additional applications can be deployed on the same virtual machine using separate domains or subdomains.
• While full automation via CLI or scripts is not currently included, a one-time automated setup can be provided if needed.

Dimensions summary
You pay by the hour based on the EC2 instance type you run. All 18 dimensions bill the same way; they differ only by instance size and family. The t2, t3, and t3a options cover general-purpose and burstable workloads, while the m3 and m4 options target compute needs with fixed resources. Sizes range from large through 16xlarge. Larger instances carry more vCPU and memory, so hourly rates rise as you scale up. You select the instance that matches your OpenSearch workload, and billing tracks actual running hours.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
The hourly charge covers the OpenSearch deployment plus vendor support and security. You get 24/7 support with a 30-minute response target, continuous security scans, and a control dashboard to manage the deployment. These services apply to whichever instance type you run.
Billing tracks running hours only. When you stop the instance, the hourly software charge stops accruing. A stopped instance may still incur underlying AWS storage fees for attached volumes, but the software meter counts active running time.
You choose the instance that matches your workload size. The t2, t3, and t3a options handle general-purpose and burstable use. The m3 and m4 options give fixed compute resources. Sizes run from large to 16xlarge, with more vCPU and memory at larger sizes.
