    Overview

This is the official Kubernetes operator for deploying and managing the New Relic Kubernetes integration. The New Relic Kubernetes integration gives you visibility into your Kubernetes clusters and workloads in minutes, whether your clusters are hosted on-premises or in the cloud.

    Highlights

    • You can build your own charts and query all your Kubernetes data, which our integration collects by instrumenting the container orchestration layer. This gives you additional insight into nodes, namespaces, deployments, replica sets, pods, and containers.
    • Link your APM data to Kubernetes to measure the performance of your web and mobile applications, with metrics such as request rate, throughput, error rate, and availability.
    • Monitor services running on Kubernetes, such as Apache, NGINX, Cassandra, and many more.

    • Amazon EKS
    EKS add-on

An add-on is software that provides supporting operational capabilities to Kubernetes applications but isn't specific to the application. This includes software like observability agents or Kubernetes drivers that allow the cluster to interact with underlying AWS resources for networking, compute, and storage. Add-on software is typically built and maintained by the Kubernetes community, cloud providers like AWS, or third-party vendors. Amazon EKS add-ons provide installation and management of a curated set of add-ons for Amazon EKS clusters. All Amazon EKS add-ons include the latest security patches and bug fixes, and are validated by AWS to work with Amazon EKS. Amazon EKS add-ons allow you to consistently ensure that your Amazon EKS clusters are secure and stable and reduce the amount of work that you need to do to install, configure, and update add-ons.

New relic: comprehensive platform for observability and performance

    Reviewed on Nov 08, 2025
    Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about new relic is it's end to end observability and it's incredibly powerful for tracking metrics across applications , infrastructure, logs and user experience, all in one unified dashboard
What do you dislike about the product?
The initial setup and configuration can be overwhelming for first time users. With so many features available it takes time to understand which ones are essential for our environment.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
New relic helps us proactively monitor performance, detect issues and optimize resources. We no longer need multiple tools for APM, infrastructure and logs , everything is consolidated

Comprehensive Observability with a Steep Learning Curve

    Reviewed on Nov 03, 2025
    Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
New Relic offers unified observability across your entire stack with easy setup and deep insights into application performance. Its powerful dashboards, distributed tracing, and flexible alerting make it easy to detect and resolve issues quickly.
What do you dislike about the product?
New Relic can be expensive at scale due to its data-based pricing model, and managing ingestion costs requires careful tuning. The interface can feel complex for new users, and advanced customization often has a steep learning curve.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
New Relic helps identify performance bottlenecks, trace errors across microservices, and monitor system health in real time. It provides full visibility into application and infrastructure behavior, enabling faster troubleshooting and improving overall reliability and user experience.

What do you like best about the product?
This tool provides useful insights into response times, threads, JVM, and external services by presenting the data through graphs and charts. It makes it easier to understand system performance and identify potential issues.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are times when alerts do not come through, or I experience connectivity problems.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This tool provides useful insights into JVM response times for microservices by presenting the data in clear graphs. The visualizations make it easier to understand performance trends and identify potential issues.

Powerful Observability Platform with Great Insights and Some Complexity

    Reviewed on Nov 03, 2025
    Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
New Relic provides a very detailed and intuitive observability platform. The real-time performance monitoring, distributed tracing, and powerful dashboards make it easy to identify bottlenecks quickly. I especially like how seamlessly it integrates with multiple tech stacks — from mobile apps to backend services — and how the alerting system helps catch production issues before they impact users. The UI is clean, data visualization is excellent, and the query-based insights (NRQL) give a lot of flexibility for deeper analysis.
What do you dislike about the product?
While New Relic is feature-rich, the initial setup and configuration can be a bit complex for newcomers. Some advanced features require fine-tuning to get accurate metrics, and the pricing can become high as data volume grows. At times, dashboards load slowly when handling very large datasets, and the documentation, though extensive, could be more beginner-friendly for specific use cases.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
New Relic helps us detect performance issues proactively before they impact end users. It provides end-to-end observability — from backend latency to app-level crashes and ANRs in Android — allowing the team to quickly pinpoint root causes. This has significantly reduced debugging time, improved release confidence, and enhanced overall app stability and customer experience

Comprehensive Real-Time Insights with Flexible Dashboards

    Reviewed on Nov 02, 2025
    Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
New Relic is a really helpful platform, it helps in providing a full view of what's happening across your application in real time. It helps you understanding performance as per the user's perspective all the way down to the code level. Also the one thing which i liked about it is that it's dashboard is super flexible where you can customise them to focus on what really matters to your team, error rates and infrastructure health. We can say it is particularly helpful when you are working with complex and distributed system.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't have anything right now in dislikes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It has been really helpful platform for us and supported us in solving problems related to modern software development like understanding what's really going on inside your system in real time. If we have multiple services, APIs and environment running at once then there would be higher chances of performance issues and errors to get lost in the noise. New Relic helps in pulling all the data so you have the ability to see the complete picture From infrastructure to the individual user experience.
