Faddom Proxy for Cloud and Large Scale Environments.
A pre-configured virtual appliance that extends Faddom's agentless application dependency mapping into isolated VPCs, segmented subnets, and large distributed environments. The proxy collects data locally and forwards it to the Faddom Server over an encrypted, outbound-only connection - no inbound firewall rules or agents required.
In large estates, deploying proxies close to the workloads being mapped reduces cross-region traffic, distributes collection load away from the central server, and scales horizontally as the environment grows without expanding the Faddom Server's network reach.
AWS Marketplace now accepts line of credit payments through the PNC Vendor Finance program. This program is available to select AWS customers in the US, excluding NV, NC, ND, TN, & VT.
This listing offers one pricing dimension: the Faddom Proxy Server running on a c4.xlarge instance, billed hourly. The proxy is a free component with no software charge from the vendor. You deploy it to forward network data from your environment or data center to your Faddom Server over an encrypted connection. Because pricing is a single hourly rate tied to one instance type, there are no tiers, add-ons, or usage-based charges to compare. Costs scale only with how many hours you run the proxy instance.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What resources does the c4.xlarge instance provide for running the proxy?
The c4.xlarge is an AWS compute instance type that hosts the Faddom Proxy virtual appliance. The proxy collects network data from all sources in your data center and forwards it to the Faddom Server over an encrypted connection. Its job is data collection and forwarding, not mapping analysis.
Am I charged when the proxy instance is stopped or powered off?
The proxy software itself carries no vendor charge. Costs are tied to running the c4.xlarge instance by the hour. A fully powered-off instance stops accruing hourly compute charges. Stopped instances may still incur underlying AWS storage fees for attached volumes.
Do I need multiple proxy instances to cover several separate environments?
A proxy is used when direct access from the Faddom Server into an environment is not possible. If you have separate environments or sites that cannot communicate, you can deploy a proxy in each to collect and forward data. Each running instance accrues its own hourly compute charge.

An AMI is a virtual image that provides the information required to launch an instance. Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) instances are virtual servers on which you can run your applications and workloads, offering varying combinations of CPU, memory, storage, and networking resources. You can launch as many instances from as many different AMIs as you need.
