Anonymous HTTP/SOCKS4/SOCKS5 Proxy Server on Linux for internet access, with a Web Interface and RADIUS accounting and authentication by username and password. When deploying this proxy server via a CloudFormation template, a configuration with two IP addresses is created, allowing for IP address rotation. The first IP is used for both the web interface and as the proxy Endpoint, which is the address specified in client configurations to connect to the Proxy Server. The second IP is used for the Outbound connection - this is the address under which client traffic appears on the internet. This allows you to change or rotate the outbound IP at any time by replacing the second Elastic IP, without updating the client configuration or restarting the server.
The Anonymous Proxy server acts as an intermediary between a web browser and the internet, hiding your real IP address from the websites you visit. It is often used to bypass geo-blocks or censorship and to enhance privacy and anonymity while browsing. Many browsers support SOCKS4/SOCKS5 proxy servers, which can handle various types of traffic beyond just HTTP. An HTTP proxy is mainly used for standard web browsing, while a SOCKS5 proxy supports a wider range of protocols and applications - and is also commonly used in browsers for more flexible and secure connections.
Areas of use:
This Anonymous HTTP/SOCKS4/SOCKS5 Proxy Server enables users to browse the internet more privately by changing the IP address of the user's browser. This means the destination server doesn't know who made the original request, thereby enhancing privacy and security.
Web Proxy servers allow users to circumvent content restrictions imposed by companies or governments. Many governments worldwide closely monitor and restrict internet access, and proxy servers provide citizens with access to an uncensored internet.
This HTTP/SOCKS4/SOCKS5 Web Proxy Server is suitable for private users as well as for companies providing services for renting proxy services.
The key features of the HTTP/SOCKS4/SOCKS5 Proxy Server:
The startup procedure is very simple: the Server does not require additional configuration. The Server is ready to use immediately.
A lightweight, tiny web proxy server with just one simple configuration file.
Proxy Server supports HTTP and SOCKS4/SOCKS5 proxy connection protocols with RADIUS accounting and authentication by username and password.
User Management Control Web Panel.
This HTTP/SOCKS5 Web Proxy Server supports IP address rotation capability when deploying via a CloudFormation template. This is useful because IP addresses used to visit websites through a proxy are sometimes blocked.
Proxy Server uses "HTTP Connect" proxy technology that allows browsers to view HTTPS-websites using HTTP Proxy.
Easy-to-use. After launching, the Anonymous HTTP/SOCKS5 Proxy Server is immediately fully operational. No server setup required. A lightweight, tiny web proxy server with just one simple configuration file. Default proxy SOCKS5 port: 1080, proxy HTTP port: 3128.

3 PROXY - Anonymous HTTP/SOCKS4/SOCKS5 Proxy Server with IP rotation
Pricing is based on actual usage, with charges varying according to how much you consume. Subscriptions have no end date and may be canceled any time. Alternatively, you can pay upfront for a contract, which typically covers your anticipated usage for the contract duration. Any usage beyond contract will incur additional usage-based costs.
Additional AWS infrastructure costs may apply. Use the AWS Pricing Calculator to estimate your infrastructure costs.
If you are an AWS Free Tier customer with a free plan, you are eligible to subscribe to this offer. You can use free credits to cover the cost of eligible AWS infrastructure. See AWS Free Tier for more details. If you created an AWS account before July 15th, 2025, and qualify for the Legacy AWS Free Tier, Amazon EC2 charges for Micro instances are free for up to 750 hours per month. See Legacy AWS Free Tier for more details.
You pay by the hour based on the EC2 instance size you run this proxy server on. Billing is usage-based, so charges accrue only while the instance runs. The dimensions are not feature tiers — every option delivers the same software. They differ by compute capacity. Burstable t2 and t3/t3a instances suit lighter, variable workloads. General-purpose m5, m6, and m7 families (including intel, AMD, network-optimized, and flex variants) scale from medium up to 4xlarge for steadier or higher-traffic use. Pick the size that matches your expected connection load; hourly cost rises with instance size.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What resources do I get for a given hourly instance choice?
Each dimension maps to one running EC2 instance of that type. The instance provides the CPU, memory, and network capacity for that size. Larger sizes handle more concurrent proxy connections. The proxy software itself is identical across all sizes; only the compute resources differ.
Am I charged when the proxy instance is stopped?
Software charges accrue only while the instance runs. A stopped instance stops the hourly software meter. You may still pay underlying AWS fees for stored data or reserved Elastic IP addresses. Billing resumes when you start the instance again.
Does the price cover the two IP addresses used for rotation?
The hourly rate covers the proxy software on your chosen instance. The deployment uses two Elastic IP addresses for IP rotation: one for the proxy endpoint and web panel, one for outbound traffic. AWS charges for Elastic IPs are separate from this software rate.

An AMI is a virtual image that provides the information required to launch an instance. Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) instances are virtual servers on which you can run your applications and workloads, offering varying combinations of CPU, memory, storage, and networking resources. You can launch as many instances from as many different AMIs as you need.
Version release notes
It is now possible to deploy the Proxy Server using a CloudFormation template, which sets up a configuration with two IP addresses.
User management web panel has been modified.
Additional details
Usage instructions
After deploying this server using the Standalone AMI, you will get a fully functional HTTP/SOCKS5 Proxy Server with a single IP address used for both the Endpoint and Outbound traffic.
If you want to run the Proxy Server with separate IP addresses for the Endpoint and the Outbound connection - where the Endpoint IP is used by clients to connect to the Proxy Server, and the Outbound IP is the address under which client traffic appears on the internet - you can deploy this server using a CloudFormation template. This configuration allows you, for example, to change or rotate the outbound IP address later simply by replacing the second Elastic IP, without needing to update the client configuration and without restarting the server.
Instructions for deploying the Server from the Standalone AMI:
Launch the server. After launching, it is immediately ready to work; no additional settings are required. If the Elastic IP was assigned to a running instance, the instance must be restarted.
Linux username: admin
At the first launch of the server, a user named "testuser" with a randomly generated password is created in the user database.
User management Web Panel:
https://[Public IP address]
Please use "administrator" as username and your instance ID as password.
When accessing the Web Panel via HTTPS, your web browser may display a warning about potential risks due to using an IP address in the URL. In this case, you can proceed and accept the risks, as our main objective is to encrypt traffic, and using an IP address in a web browser is safe for our purposes.
Use the following settings on a client side:
proxy server address: IP address of your instance on AWS
proxy HTTP port: 3128
proxy SOCKS5 port: 1080
PAC-file (Proxy Auto-Config): "http://[Public IP address]/proxy.pac"
login/password: user records are stored in a database and can be managed using the Web Panel.
ADDITIONAL INFO
For more convenience, phpMyAdmin (database management) is available at:
https://[Public IP address]/phpmyadmin/
Default username for phpMyAdmin is "administrator", initial password is your instance ID.
By default, access to phpMyAdmin is denied in the .htaccess file: "/usr/share/phpmyadmin/.htaccess"
