You pay across two separate usage dimensions. The first bills by the number of users who each hold a dedicated Embrace seat, so cost scales with your team size. The second bills for captured user sessions on a pay-as-you-go basis. A session is counted when your app is used in a particular state and data is captured. These two dimensions are independent, letting you scale seats and session volume separately as your usage grows.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What counts as one captured user session for billing?
A session is counted when your app is used in a particular state and data is captured. For example, opening the app captures one session, and backgrounding it while activity continues captures another. Both mobile and web sessions count the same way, regardless of the device sending them.
Are foreground and background sessions billed the same?
No. Background sessions, for both web and mobile, are billed at a discounted rate compared to foreground sessions because less data is captured. Collecting background sessions is a feature you turn on through your customer success manager rather than a default setting.
Which dimension drives most of my bill — seats or sessions?
The two dimensions bill independently on the same invoice. Session charges scale with how much your app is used and can dominate for high-traffic apps. Seat charges scale with team size and stay flat as usage grows. Fixed teams with heavy app traffic see sessions lead the cost.

What do you like best about the product?
Crash reporting , ANR and OOM are one of the best features about Embrace. The overall dashboard is pretty easy to use. And implementation wise it's easy too. There're not too many configurations to be done, so integration was quiet easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
Their customer support is not the best that I've seen, also some of the features like network logging can be done way better.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's an eye for developer like me to see what is going on in the field.

What do you dislike about the product?
One area where Embrace could improve is in providing more flexibility for data filtering. The limited options for filtering data can be restrictive, hindering the ability to create comprehensive dashboards or gain a holistic, bird’s-eye view of the app’s performance. A more intuitive and customizable data filtering system would enhance the user experience significantly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are in the phase of encountered an issue that very specific and not really obvious. Previously our approach is to have a back and forth discussion with developers and our users to get the information as much as possible. With Embrace we are able to dig deep dive about our users just by user id using user session on Embrace.

Easiest way to get a comprehensive picture of mobile application health!

What do you like best about the product?
The relative ease Embrace provides to create a comprehensive picture of application health is fantastic! Embrace has become an integral part of my everyday routine by helping to provide a quick way to view user experience and be able to quickly (and with very low effort) dig into and understand the various problems our users might face (not just crashes like other products!). Beyond the tool itself, my interactions with the embrace team have been extremely positive with a lot of great conversations and useful feedback they've been a great partner to have.
What do you dislike about the product?
It would be a huge boon to my workflows if Embrace had its own mobile app to make it easier to track errors/application health wherever I am. I am often all over the place and would love to be able to just pop open the app and look at curated dashboards.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Embrace is a great companion in ensuring the creation of a positive user experience by providing (and meeting) a high-quality bar only achievable by the great tools provided by embrace!
