Dropbox Feels Like an Extension of My Computer—Easy Access Across Devices

    Reviewed on May 09, 2026
    Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
Dropbox feels like an extension of my computer—accessible right in Finder and always available on my other devices. It FEELS secure (though I’m not totally sure whether it is or not). The yearly pricing also seems fair, and they haven’t raised it by 40% like so many other subscriptions I have.
What do you dislike about the product?
Maybe better security options or a special secure vault for personal sensitive things?
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Feels like enough space for everything I never even check the space of things before I upload them. Easy to share files with others too

What do you like best about the product?
The UX is easy to navigate, I haven't had technical issues for several years, and I think they are doing a great job at integrating with other tools and systems.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think Pricing-wise, they are similar to the rest of the competitors although they dont really offer that much different product. I would like to see more AI features or 'assistants'
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I can keep my files and documents in one place and retrieve them at any point from the cloud

Reliable, Easy File Sharing and Version History That Just Works

    Reviewed on May 07, 2026
    Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
We started using Dropbox mainly to make file sharing easier across our team, and honestly, it’s just been one of those tools that quietly works without causing problems. Uploading and sharing files is super straightforward, and I like that I can access everything from my laptop or phone without thinking twice about it.

What’s helped us the most is how easy it is to send large files to clients and keep shared folders organized. Before Dropbox, we constantly had issues with different file versions floating around in email threads. Now everything stays in one place and it’s way easier to manage.

I’ve also had a couple of moments where version history saved me after accidentally overwriting a file, so that feature alone has been worth it. Setup was simple, and even less tech-savvy people on our team picked it up quickly.

The only downside is that pricing can start to feel expensive once your storage needs grow, especially for smaller teams. But overall, it’s been reliable and easy to use, which is really all you want from a tool like this.
What do you dislike about the product?
One thing I don’t love about Dropbox is the pricing. It starts off reasonable, but as your storage needs grow or you need more advanced admin/security features, the cost can add up pretty quickly for smaller teams.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Dropbox is helping us solve a lot of the file management and collaboration issues we used to deal with daily. Before using it, files were scattered across emails, local desktops, and different shared drives, which often led to confusion around the latest version of a document.

Now everything is stored in one centralized place, making it much easier for our team to access, share, and collaborate on files from anywhere. It’s especially useful for sharing large files with clients and keeping project folders organized without endless email threads.

The biggest benefit has been saving time and reducing back-and-forth. We spend less time searching for files or fixing version issues, and the team can work more efficiently since everyone has access to the same up-to-date documents.

Simple, Reliable Syncing and Seamless Collaboration

    Reviewed on May 07, 2026
    Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
What I like most about Dropbox is how simple and reliable it is. File syncing runs smoothly across my devices, sharing with others is fast, and the interface is straightforward, even for non-technical users. Features like version history, file recovery, and seamless collaboration make it especially useful for both personal tasks and professional work.
What do you dislike about the product?
The free storage is quite limited compared to some competitors.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I can access my files from any device, quickly share large files with clients or teammates, and restore older versions if something is deleted or changed by accident.

Stress-Free File Saving Without Local Storage

    Reviewed on May 07, 2026
    Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
The option to save files without using local storage is really helpful. If your device storage is limited, this tool also gives you peace of mind when you need to upload larger files.
What do you dislike about the product?
If you need more storage, you have to pay for it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The option to store larger files without limitations is really useful. I can access my files wherever I am, since everything is stored in the cloud.
