Centralized sign-on and automation have streamlined onboarding and strengthened authentication
What is our primary use case?
My main use cases for OneLogin are the single sign-on feature, multifactor authentication, and the user provisioning feature that we are using in our organization in real-world scenarios.
We use user provisioning when a new employee joins the organization. OneLogin has made the onboarding process easy and streamlined it significantly through our HR system. Regarding single sign-on, we use it for multiple applications, including project management tools, communication platforms, and development tools.
We are using OneLogin primarily for the sign-on functionality.
What is most valuable?
The best features OneLogin offers are multifactor authentication, single sign-on, and directory synchronization.
The directory synchronization feature for my organization integrates with existing systems. It integrates with another directory system service such as Active Directory and automates the addition of new users or updates to existing ones.
The customizable access policies that OneLogin offers are crucial for our organization. OneLogin has positively impacted my organization by increasing efficiency in user onboarding. The multifactor authentication has enhanced our user experience, as users are no longer using the forgot password option every time. With multifactor authentication, users only need to authenticate once, and with single sign-on, they only need to authenticate one time and then can access other applications.
My impression of the user identity synchronization across directories functionality is that it has made things easier for us. When a user is updated in our primary directory, the synchronization automatically updates the corresponding records in other directories as well. This has reduced the manual workload for our IT team.
What needs improvement?
I would suggest that the user interface could be improved. Everything else is good, including customer support, and dashboard customization would be a great addition.
I do not have any additional improvements needed with OneLogin that I have not already mentioned.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been using OneLogin for around a month.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
OneLogin is stable.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
OneLogin scales with us for our growing startup.
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
I did not previously use a different solution before OneLogin.
How was the initial setup?
We are using SmartFactor Authentication, but right now I cannot provide a review on it because we are still configuring it. The integration of phishing-resistant devices has made a significant impact on authentication processes, but I will say we need more time to justify it fully. We are still implementing it and need more time.
What was our ROI?
I have seen a return on investment so far, and time has been saved on our side. The automation workflow that we are using has removed the manual workflow that we were using, and the time required has been reduced.
Which other solutions did I evaluate?
Before choosing OneLogin, I evaluated other options such as Okta.
What other advice do I have?
OneLogin is a great platform with minimal improvements needed. I rate OneLogin a nine out of ten. I chose nine for my rating because the user interface could be improved to a ten out of ten. Every other feature, such as single sign-on and multifactor authentication, is excellent. My advice to others looking to use OneLogin is that it is a good platform that you can confidently use. Just be sure to read the documentation correctly before using it. I found this interview valuable.
Single sign-on has simplified access and multi-factor authentication now protects sensitive data
What is our primary use case?
I have been using OneLogin for about a month, and it has been a valuable experience as I have seen it integrate with our existing system and enhance our overall security posture. One of our main use cases is streamlining user access across multiple applications, and the Single Sign-On feature has been a game-changer for us. It simplifies the login process for users, allowing them to access various applications with just one set of credentials. Additionally, we are leveraging Multi-Factor Authentication to add an extra layer of security, which has been crucial given the sensitive nature of the data we handle.
Integrating OneLogin with our existing systems was an interesting process. We primarily focused on a few applications that our users access frequently, including project management tools, internal communication platforms, and customer relationship management systems.
What is most valuable?
One of the standout features of OneLogin for us is definitely user provisioning and de-provisioning. It has made onboarding and offboarding processes much smoother.
The features I would highlight include directory sync, customization options, and Multi-Factor Authentication. First and foremost, the Single Sign-On feature has truly transformed how our team interacts with various applications. By allowing users to log in with just one set of credentials, we have seen a noticeable reduction in password fatigue. This not only boosts productivity but also minimizes the frustration that comes with remembering numerous passwords. I remember a time when our team was constantly juggling passwords, and it was a source of stress. Now, with SSO, the workflow is much smoother. Multi-Factor Authentication has also enhanced our security posture.
Since implementing OneLogin, the reduction in password requests has been notable, with the Single Sign-On feature driving approximately a 70% reduction in those requests. The seamless end-user experience for signing in and authenticating on applications with OneLogin is remarkable. An end user can access multiple applications with just one set of credentials, which not only saves time but also minimizes the frustration that often comes with handling multiple passwords.
What needs improvement?
The user experience of OneLogin can be improved. The user interface and the integration with third-party applications could use some work, as could enhancing the reporting and analytical features.
I think customer service can be improved along with the user interface and integration.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been using OneLogin for about a month.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
OneLogin is stable for us.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
OneLogin is a scalable solution for our organization, and we have been able to see new user growth.
How are customer service and support?
We have not used customer support much until now, but when a problem arose, we contacted them and they were responsive and helpful. They were taking a bit more time than ideal.
How would you rate customer service and support?
Positive
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
We have not used any other solution before OneLogin. The company is still in development mode, so OneLogin is our first tool.
What was our ROI?
We have saved time with OneLogin, and we are still using it as we continue configuring and determining how useful it is.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
My experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing was quite good.
Which other solutions did I evaluate?
Before choosing OneLogin, I evaluated Okta as an alternate solution.
What other advice do I have?
My advice for others looking into using OneLogin is that it is a good product. I recommend using the free trial so that you can explore all of its features before purchasing the full version. I would rate this product an 8 out of 10.
Adaptive authentication has improved onboarding experiences but still needs broader deployment options
What is our primary use case?
I primarily used OneLogin for proof of concept to showcase potential customers its use cases. I tried almost all of the use cases that OneLogin supports, from integrating with directories and target systems to using SAML and providing entitlements. I demonstrated the onboarding cycle as a specific use case to a customer with OneLogin.
What is most valuable?
I use OneLogin's SmartFactor Authentication to adjust authentication flows in real time, and I assess SmartFactor Authentication as very good. It is one of the best tools they created.
SmartFactor Authentication stands out for me because it supports no compromise. Usually, there is either a compromise of user experience for risk or a compromise of risk for user experience. With SmartFactor Authentication, I can balance between them. I can give users an easy and smooth user experience as long as the risk indices are low, but I can implement pretty rigid authentication workflows if the risk gets higher. So it is very good.
My impression of the user identity synchronization across directories functionality in OneLogin is that it is very nice. It is very easy to implement and very easy to use. There is nothing bad about it. The synchronization runs smoothly.
My impression of OneLogin's ability to provide a seamless end-user experience for signing in and authenticating to needed applications is that it is very nice.
What needs improvement?
The user experience is very nice, which is why I give OneLogin a rating of seven. It is easy to implement and incorporate in any enterprise, and you can define the ROI pretty fast. However, the downfall rests with the lack of an on-premises solution or cloud in some areas, which prevents OneLogin from accessing some significant markets. Additionally, the weakness of their CIAM module is a concern.
There are no other improvements I think are needed for OneLogin.
For how long have I used the solution?
I used OneLogin for around three years, but it was not continuous usage. I conducted several POCs with it.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
My experience with OneLogin's stability has been positive.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
OneLogin's scalability is great in my experience.
How are customer service and support?
I do not have any comments about the customer support.
How would you rate customer service and support?
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
I did not switch to OneLogin from a different solution because I used OneLogin initially.
What was our ROI?
Unfortunately, I do not have any numbers right now regarding whether I have seen a return on investment with OneLogin or any relevant metrics such as time saved, cost reduction, or fewer support tickets.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
My experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing for OneLogin was very nice.
Which other solutions did I evaluate?
Before choosing OneLogin, I evaluated other options such as PingFederate . It is very resourceful and very good, but the problem is that it is very complex. For very big enterprises, it is one of the best solutions. It has huge diversity in hosting and deployment options. You can deploy it on-premises, in the cloud, or through other methods. It can provide much stronger customization. However, it is much more difficult to onboard in the enterprise. For smaller enterprises that have standard requirements, OneLogin is much better. It is much more efficient and easier to use.
What other advice do I have?
I have used the adaptive login flows with Vigilance AI, and while I do not remember all of the details, I believe it was a very useful experience. I give OneLogin an overall rating of seven.
Single sign-on has simplified authentication and now reduces login-related support tickets
What is our primary use case?
My main use case for OneLogin revolves around application integration and user authentication. I primarily utilize it to implement Single Sign-On across internal and external applications, which significantly simplifies the login process for users.
I use OneLogin for Single Sign-On with an internal project management tool that our team uses alongside a customer relationship management CRM system. Before integrating OneLogin, users had to remember separate login credentials for each application, which was a hassle and often led to frustration. The process has become much smoother with login pages, authentication, and access granted.
What is most valuable?
The best features OneLogin offers are Single Sign-On, multiple Multi-Factor Authentication, and user provisioning.
Multi-Factor Authentication is generally useful for adding an extra layer of security, which is crucial, especially for the sensitive nature of the data we handle.
OneLogin has had several positive impacts on my organization in several key areas. Single Sign-On and Multi-Factor Authentication have been beneficial. Additionally, the user authentication has been improved remarkably. Before OneLogin, our team was burdened with managing multiple credentials, but now it is much more efficient.
Since implementing OneLogin, I have been seeing a significant reduction in login-related support tickets, approximately a 30% decrease.
I do utilize Smart Factor Authentication with OneLogin. I find it to be a really valuable feature for balancing security and usability.
What needs improvement?
OneLogin can add more analytics and reporting and integrate with more third-party applications.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been working in my current field for a year.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
OneLogin is stable.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
OneLogin is a good scalable product.
How are customer service and support?
Until now, it is great. I have not used their customer support.
How would you rate customer service and support?
Positive
How was the initial setup?
The initial setup was not that difficult. I have used it, and while it was a bit tricky for some time, it was manageable.
The setup was good and easy. I am still using the free trial, but I will be purchasing it.
Which other solutions did I evaluate?
Other organizations can use OneLogin, but they can also refer to Okta. I have not used Okta until now, but I am hearing that it is more great than OneLogin.
What other advice do I have?
I am still using OneLogin, so I am still exploring the app and need some more time.
The experience has been smooth and quite positive. My review rating for OneLogin is 8.5 out of 10.
Centralized access has strengthened security and has reduced password fatigue and support tickets
What is our primary use case?
When we have multiple environments for our customers, OneLogin by One Identity helps us create policies based on device, network, and role. For example, when an engineer wants to access the Azure portal via SAML SSO , we provide access according to their role. When they need VPN access via RADIUS or LDAP, we grant access based on network requirements.
What is most valuable?
The multi-factor authentication feature has helped our company, which is an IT service provider, secure admin and privileged accounts. When our technicians access client systems remotely, we need to provide them with secure and privileged account access. It has improved our compliance by allowing us to meet client requirements for MFA on all sensitive systems, providing safe login from any location or device.
Another feature that we find interesting is the audit logs and reporting, which has helped us track who, where, and how users logged into the system.
Using OneLogin by One Identity has positively impacted our organization. We are able to comply with client compliance requirements and have managed to reduce takeover time risk. Even if a password is stolen, an attacker cannot log in without second-factor authentication, making it more secure.
Since we started using OneLogin by One Identity, we have noticed a decrease in security events, stolen passwords, and non-compliance adherence issues.
What needs improvement?
It should also include device posture checks and provide risk scoring.

How would you rate customer service and support?
Positive
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
We decided to switch from Okta to OneLogin by One Identity because Okta required heavy on-premises maintenance and frequent patching and had limited MFA options. We could not create adaptive policies, which was the main reason for our switch. OneLogin provides cloud-native SSO, automated provisioning, stronger MFA, and easier multi-tenant management, making it more efficient for an IT-based service company like ours.
What was our ROI?
Which other solutions did I evaluate?
What other advice do I have?
Regarding pricing, I do not know much, but I have heard from our sales team that the licensing for OneLogin by One Identity is moderate compared to other vendors.
My advice to others looking into using OneLogin by One Identity is that they should proceed with it. It is cost-efficient and provides more features for the cost compared to other vendors available in the market. It reduces our time to go live, and we have not made any changes to our existing network. OneLogin's heterogeneous support for various security vendors is excellent, and we can reduce our IT support security tickets. I would advise peers planning to purchase this solution to proceed without hesitation. I would rate this product an eight out of ten.
