All in one solution for small and medium sized businesses

What do you like best about the product?
Hubspot helps us streamline our marketing efforts within one tool. In Hubspot, we track our lead to customer journey, client communication, and utilize smart lists. We also build our LPs, emails, lead flows, and workflows. Hubspot is also capable of managing a blog and social media posts. Their design tools include a simple drag and drop editor as well as supports complex HTML. The user interface is easy to navigate and their customer service is responsive.
What do you dislike about the product?
Site navigation has changed a few times in the last couple of years, so keep in mind there may be a learning curve with the platform updates. Also, there are some limitations to RSS that may restrict personalization and design elements. However, Hubspot does update the features quite regularly, so hopefully, this will be improved in the future.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our agency has three brands specializing in advertising, digital marketing, and web solutions. With all three brands using Hubspot, we’re able to employ smart lists, workflows, and customized contact properties to properly communicate to our prospects so that we can best meet their needs based on their actions.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are looking for one platform that your sales and marketing teams can use in conjunction this is a good choice.

It's good for what it is. It's not Salesforce. It can't be. But it's good for what it is.

What do you like best about the product?
Histories of property changes on any record are simple, straightforward, and easily accessible. There is never a question of how your data is changed over by time, or who and what.

Most integrations are easy to connect, intuitive to use, and fairly robust in their functionality.

Support is fantastic. They have a lot of product to support, and while they don't always get it right, you get a transparent experience. You speak to humans who understand the pains you're going through, what you're trying to accomplish, and what blockers exist in the way. They are leagues beyond most software support teams I've ever worked with.
What do you dislike about the product?
I'm a Salesforce administrator. I'm used to that ecosystem. Shifting to the HubSpot ecosystem requires getting creative. While you're used to a virtually-unlimited schema in Salesforce, HubSpot essentially has four objects in its model; those objects speak to their analogs, and only their analogs, in Salesforce.

Getting HubSpot talking to all the places in Salesforce you need to is often an exercise in doing all the necessary data manipulation in Salesforce, and getting it to a place where the connector can see it.

This would be a manageable-enough task if HubSpot had the full set of data manipulation functions other tools had.

Want to timestamp something? Good luck - you can't create a datetime property unless your dev team does so via the API.

Want to multiply a property by 2 in a HubSpot workflow? The functionality does not exist.

Text parsing beyond a contains function? You won't find any.

Date literals? These do not exist.

The end result is a dissatisfying set of Hobson's choices when it comes to taking any data, and translating it into other ways the business needs to use it. As far as in-app DML is concerned, you have very little flexibility.

HubSpot is not a viable tool for larger-sized enterprises without significant customization through HubSpot's extremely robust APIs. If you do not have development resources in your org, there is a very painful ceiling to what you can do with data.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
HubSpot essentially acts as a layer for our BI tools, between our in-app products and Salesforce, with a pinch of automated emailing in between. Its analytics are invaluable to our process, and most of the properties from the analytics package are mapped to external tools for further analysis and/or automation.

Okay-ish

What do you like best about the product?
Hubspot is pretty good at organizing people and making sure that it is easy to find people. Lots of cool templates and articles popping up frequently.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like how Hubspot isn't efficient in presenting meaningful analytic data. The data is very low quality and something I could create on my own in Excel.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sales Prospecting and doing market research. It is useful to be able to look at properties from an outbound touch (time, location) and then improve upon it by using a formula. This guides outreach strategies. Hubspot is also very good for managing pipeline and showing different deal stages in a way that is very comprehensive and easy for anyone to understand. Deal stages are customizable and clearly laid out making understanding pipeline a simple process.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If this is someone's first time with a CRM, I would highly recommend it. That being said, it is a little overpriced.

Expensive But Great Features

  • July 31, 2018
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Having created the first CRM system for our company through Hubspot, I have found that the large amount of features and customisable options has made the whole process simple.

Being able to create your own customisable fields has been a life-saver and a game changer for setting up a CRM ecosystem.
What do you dislike about the product?
To gain the full functionality of the Hubspot suite is prohibitively expensive for a SME.

However, there are workarounds and enough links to third-party systems that help mitigate this.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Previously my company had no central database for customer data, so installing Hubspot in our day to day work flow has been game changing.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Go for it. The content management features are superb and really easy to use. We will never go back to not having a customer contact CRM. It has proven to be invaluable.

What do you dislike about the product?

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are able to define our priorities for the customers

Great all-round tool with simple options for filtering contacts and companies

  • March 14, 2018
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Central location for all Contacts and Companies has made the management of our outreach and inbound marketing efforts more streamlined. There is visibility for all teams and we've been able to be more effective in our comms as a result.
What do you dislike about the product?
Very little to comment on at the moment, although occasionally the lack of flexibility in the platform means we've had to amend current operations (Not always a bad outcome).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Clearer management of Contacts and Companies for all divisions of the business - whether sales, marketing or account management.
Delivering newsletter and weekly "alerts" to our membership.

I recommended HubSpot to every startup

  • February 27, 2018
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Simple, fast, with easy integration to email and calendars. Hubspot really makes the CRM work for me, not me working for the CRM or the exec staff.
What do you dislike about the product?
Would be nice if customize reporting was part of the Free version. I have a small not for profit monthly event with 4,100+ members. There is no $4k annual budget for a CRM.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Integration with Google Forms, Outlook email & calendar, use of Sequences, has really given me more time to work on important dialog rather than the processes.

Good Program

  • February 26, 2018
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like how it lets you know how many times someone opens your emails. The email templates are also helpful. The sequences have come in handy for me and my team. We have found we are more productive when using this platform.
What do you dislike about the product?
It always seems like when it is crunch time the software runs super slow. Outside of that, I have found this platform is a great platform for any sales-based companies.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The task queues help to obtain your goals for the day. Sequences help with minimizing the amount of time it takes to set up daily tasks. It is a little more upfront work but a huge time saver in the long run.

Hubspot Free CRM

  • December 12, 2017
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I have used several CRM applications throughout my business career and find Hubspot's free CRM to be amazingly good from a use perspective The GUI makes sense segregating the majority of marketing activities to the paid subscription model leaving behind many useful contact management toolsets. The app provides unlimited upload of contacts with self created filters or column ids to get to a contact or a group quickly and easily. The email editor is easy to use, the sync with Outlook works great and makes sure your emails within or outside of the HS the DB are tied together. I find this free app easy and straightforward to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
Having been an admin of the system and then relegated to a level of lesser control this has created some access problems/limitations to what one is able to view. This is not a huge problem but points to limited control options.. As mentioned the email editor is good but to work on a previously sent email with forwarding options this doesn't seem available so one needs to default to Outlook for finding and sending same. One final thing, search capability in this free version is limited in value.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It provides a centralized database that I can organize based on tags or filters and the ticklers help me stay abreast of outbound call requirements.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Take a few of the tutorials, it will help.

Low cost CRM with great automation tools

  • October 24, 2017
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Customer support is super responsive. Sequencing automation has saved a lot of time in FU activity. Easy to learn.
What do you dislike about the product?
The document management needs more attention. You'll have minor issues if you add multiple docs to a record e.g. deal or org. You can sync panda doc but it's pricey.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Marketing & Sales.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
try the free version and gradually implement bolt-on features as and when you need.
