Great Tool, But Desperately Needs a Native Dark Mode
What do you like best about the product?
The ease of use. A lot of the interface is really intuitive if you have used any other modern design software.
I mainly use Miro to sketch out storyboards for projects and I love that Miro has a basic pen tool built in, so I can make simple squiggles right then and there, not faff around annotating a screenshot.
Customization in places that matter, like changing the background color to dark.

What do you dislike about the product?
A lack of a native dark mode for the UI. All other software I use have dark UIs (like Houdini, Blender, Resolve), so It is a bit uncomfortable, when I get blasted with white menus, when I have set everything else to be dark, including the project background in Miro.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
- helps to gather ideas into one place when prototyping
- ideas are easy do develop further by adding little comments/sub-ideas to the main idea etc
- HELPS TO CONSOLIDATE INFORMATION IN THE CREATIVE PHASE OF THE PROJECT. This is in caps, because it has been such an annoying thing to nail down, but "this bad boy fits so much idea consolidation"

Great for Visuals, with Room for Improvement in Project Management
What do you like best about the product?
Miro is incredibly easy to use with an intuitive interface and excellent collaboration features. It offers a robust set of tools that simplify brainstorming, planning, and project management for teams. The frequency of use is high due to its seamless integration with other productivity tools and the flexible number of features.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the interface can feel overwhelming for new users due to the number of features available. While it has a Kanban option, the feature is not as robust as dedicated project management tools because Miro's primary focus is on visual collaboration rather than comprehensive project management workflows. In addition, the desktop app currently lacks a native Linux version, which may inconvenience some users. Customer support response times can also be slower than expected during peak periods.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Miro effectively solves the problem of disconnected and inefficient team collaboration by providing a centralized, visual workspace that brings all project-related activities into one place. This has benefited me by eliminating the need to juggle multiple platforms for brainstorming, planning, and documentation, which previously led to scattered ideas and communication breakdowns. Its real-time, interactive canvas allows my team to collaborate simultaneously, fostering more dynamic and inclusive brainstorming sessions and streamlining workflows through features like mind mapping and agile templates. By enabling us to visually map out complex strategies and integrate with other essential tools, Miro has significantly improved our team's alignment, clarity, and overall productivity from initial ideation to final execution.[5][6][7][8]

support is bad, and the video conferencing is useless

What do you like best about the product?
Miro is a very useful tool. It makes it easier to share content in a very intuitive way. All the features the Miro has, makes our work not only easier, but fun. We use it every day.

I have the desktop app, and sometimes the screens disappear

Makes is easier to present timelines, process flows, org charts and basically anything - it's also great to collaborate in decision making and feedback.

Some limitations on planning and project tools.

Great for Storing All Types of Content, But Pricey

Capacity to hold information such a image, graphics, text, etc

Overall, the tool is highly effective. A few improvements could enhance the experience further.
What do you like best about the product?
Board makes it easy to brainstorm, organize thoughts, and communicate ideas clearly to others. It’s especially useful for gathering all project-related content in one place.
What do you dislike about the product?
Infinite scrolling is a useful feature, but it occasionally lacks consistency in scaling elements such as font sizes or scrolling speed.

Easy to use for everyone and quick way of presenting progress.
Intuitive and feature-rich, but board permissions could be more intuitive
What do you like best about the product?
Miro is intuitive and constantly adding new, actually helpful features. It's my favorite white boarding tool out there, by far.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing Miro could do better is the guest invite UI. Miro users *can* make their board accessible to non-team members, but the UI of that must not be intuitive because I constantly get folks who are trying to view boards one-off asking to join our team.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Miro helps my team and company perform any task that one might do on a white board, and more. I've run remote design sprints and retros. I've used it for detailed wireframing and flow diagramming, as well as collecting and notating screenshots for inspiration and competitive analysis.
Infinite Workspace and Effortless Image Management—Perfect for Designers
What do you like best about the product?
It's very freeform and the workspace is infinite. I don't experience much lag when I have a really big board which I love so I feel pretty unrestricted. I like that I can upload photos from the computer, copy and paste, or from a URL. This makes it really easy as an interior designer when I have to pull images from a variety of sources and a variety of file formats. I also love the frame feature for organizing into sections! I love how it's labeled and it moves the contents with it when I move the frame around.
What do you dislike about the product?
It would be helpful if there were a feature to add a caption to a photo instead of just an Alt description or adding a free-floating text box. I almost always have to label my images with the manufacturer and name of the material I'm showing and I find it tedious to copy and paste text boxes repeatedly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's important to make mood boards and keep track of material selections for clients visually. Some of this benefits me by keeping the information organized, and some of this benefits the client because I can take a quick screenshot and share it with them. I usually only want them to see a curated snapshot of the overall information I'm collecting, not give them full shared access to the board.
Unmatched Flexibility for Expanding Ideas and Organizing Information
What do you like best about the product?
The never-ending space and unlimited ability to place and move items around with ease makes all sorts of work so much easier. It allows thoughts and line of research to expand and build into systems of information that no other platform allows for. It is a non-restrictive way to document how ideas are formed and learning is grown.
What do you dislike about the product?
When you are adding a new frame and it gets placed randomly on the screen and if it overlaps with other objects it automatically gets put into the frame (a small annoyance).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps provide a space where we can perform research on ideas and keep all lines of work from beginning to end in a story-like fashion. We love the ability to add in pdfs and being able to link items both internally and externally. We have created several roadmaps, and project plans using Miro since it is easy to make steps and arrows, then easily move them around when needed. It is a great place for multiple people to work on something at the same time, such as drafting a roadmap or brainstorming ideas.
