Easy to Use and Flexible for Remote Whiteboarding

  • October 31, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I have been using Miro for about four years to create diagrams for architecture and conduct whiteboarding sessions, which I find extremely valuable. I came across Miro while searching for a whiteboarding tool, and it immediately appealed to me upon trying it. I appreciate that Miro was a better fit for my needs compared to other vendors. Setting up Miro was quite easy, even for someone who uses it in a simplified manner, which makes it very convenient. The pre-built templates and the interactive whiteboarding capability are exceptionally beneficial as they enable my remote team to collaborate effectively by whiteboarding together, which is an essential aspect of our workflow. Another feature that I really like is the availability of architectural AWS icons, which are crucial for us since we're an AWS shop, allowing us to seamlessly build our designs. Miro's ease of use and flexibility stand out as key aspects that would make me consider purchasing it again. Overall, Miro's tools and features significantly benefit our team, making it an indispensable tool in our toolkit.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's kinda hard to share dashboards sometimes with people outside of your organization.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Miro to solve remote team collaboration challenges, enabling us to whiteboard together effectively. It offers architectural AWS icons for our designs and is easy to use and flexible, making it an ideal tool for our needs.

Essential for Group Projects, But Needs Faster Performance

  • October 30, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate that Miro is a very efficient tool for group projects as it records each member's efforts, which enables us to see everyone's contributions clearly. The ability to monitor who contributes what is valuable for assessing group dynamics and fairness in team projects. Miro's features, like the stickers and vote function, are especially helpful during group discussions, allowing us to effectively gather individual input and determine the most popular ideas, assisting us in making final decisions with ease. Additionally, the free online classes provided by Miro have been beneficial in getting acquainted with the platform, enhancing my overall user experience. The working experience with Miro has been really good, making it a reliable tool for both group projects and digital design tasks. I also value Miro because it's free, which was a significant factor in its adoption for my class since our professor recommended it.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find that sometimes it's really slow to open the Miro website or app. The speed and reaction time of Miro could definitely be faster.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Miro for efficient group projects, where we can see individual contributions, facilitating collaboration and decision-making.

Closest thing to a physical whiteboard I've found

  • October 30, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love how Miro provides an experience similar to using an actual physical whiteboard. It's great for sharing ideas with clients in meetings, particularly with remote clients, as it offers the closest experience to being in a room together with a whiteboard. I appreciate the ease of setup, as it didn't pose any significant difficulty and was straightforward. I find it particularly useful that the boards are so big – I can just scroll to another part of the board and start a new section. The flexibility of what you can do and how you can build in Miro makes it hands-down my favorite software I've discovered this year.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find it challenging to locate new boards in Miro. The navigation isn't very intuitive, and I often forget where to find them. This makes it difficult for me to switch between different boards efficiently.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Miro serves as a flexible digital whiteboard, perfect for remote collaboration. It replicates the in-room whiteboard experience, allowing real-time brainstorming and visualization during client meetings.

Versatile and Collaborative, But Setup Can Be Time-Consuming

  • October 30, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
My favorite thing about Miro is how many different things I can get on one singular board. Miro boards (for my team at least) are kind of a hodge-podge of random things but it all fits in together really well. I like that you can zoom in and scroll way out. It's easy to use and integrates all of the stuff my team wants to talk about into a singular "one-stop-shop."
What do you dislike about the product?
Miro can be time-consuming and difficult to set up boards. It's just highly manual and takes a lot of work and creativity to build. I have experimented with the templates but I didn't find they worked well for me, as my needs are often not fitting easily into one singular template or board. It is time consuming to build the "right" Miro board for my team.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Miro is helping my team connect (we have some remote and some in-person team members) in real time, AND also asynchronously. To us, Miro is like a virtual whiteboard, where we can collaborate with one-another. It also helps us quickly and visually map out ideas and concepts. It's easier to explain a Miro board to an internal customer that might not be as familar with product thinking because they can see exactly what we're talking about and ask us questions from there.

Versatile Whiteboard Solution with a Modest Learning Curve

  • October 30, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love that Miro acts as a reliable and endless whiteboard where I can just add notes or customize it at any time, which is incredibly convenient for my personal projects. The present mode is fantastic as it allows me to show my data really easily, enhancing my presentations. I find the features of curvy arrows and the stickiness that can be added to the board extremely useful for visual storytelling and tracking progress, as it allows me to indicate what tasks have been completed and what still needs work, while also leaving actionable comments for others. These features make sure everyone is on the same page and create a collaborative environment. The stickers and building tools in Miro are excellent because they make it much easier to organize my thoughts effectively. I transitioned from a different vendor because Miro simplifies my workflow tremendously. The amount of functionality and the variety of features make it a no-brainer to choose and recommend Miro.
What do you dislike about the product?
{"I found the initial setup of Miro to be somewhat difficult. I had no idea what the tools and bars were for, which made the start a bit challenging.","I wished for a simpler walkthrough, perhaps with a dedicated page for top tricks or an FAQ section that offers guidance on how to use features.","I would appreciate an AI assistant that could provide immediate assistance on how to perform specific tasks in Miro."}
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Miro as a reliable, endless whiteboard to add notes and customize anytime. It helps present data effectively, ensuring everyone aligns and fosters a collaborative environment.

The setup process was exceptionally straightforward, which made getting started a breeze. I love how Miro allows me to create diagrams quickly, putting my ideas in order with great ease. This efficiency in diagramming is a major boost for my work. Additionally, the prospect of exploring Miro's AI prototyping functionality is exciting, as it could potentially offer fast, multi-channel prototyping, which would be a key factor for repurchasing. The platform's overall utility in facilitating diagramming and idea organization is substantial, and it's been an excellent tool for my team and me, making me highly likely to recommend it to others.
