Miro the future of collaboration
What do you like best about the product?
I love it's continual improvement, key collaboration tools and their templates are next level.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the interface isn't perfectly intuitive and at times it's hard for my clients to easily get how to use the tool natively.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sharing and collaboration on key images, models and frameworks has always been hard with simple screen sharing. I can pre save boards and share them with loaded imagery and tools and they are ready to go. My clients can own their own workspace to build out aspects of what is most important to their progress.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Dive in and get creative! So many features and use cases for Miro to be an effective investment.
Did not expect to love it as much as I do
What do you like best about the product?
I really love how flexible Miro is. You can use it as a whiteboard, a digital corkboard, an interactive workspace. It really helps me to collaborate in Covid times. One of the things I like to do is put up a draft proposal, for example, and have stakeholders comment on sentences or ideas or data that they want to add information to, or correct, or question. Miro lets me know who said what, and it also lets others respond. These comments and responses can be anonymous or with names.
What do you dislike about the product?
Two things, and one I think is unavoidable. It does so much that it's easy to get lost in it. The second is that when I invite people to collaborate, it's not easy at first for them, and sometimes I get complaints. Miro has comment boxes that anyone can use, but it takes a bit of skill to do more than that to collaborate on a project.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm doing quite a lot with Miro right now. It lets me collaborate online with proposals and problem solving projects. I also like how it allows me to put images or even worksheets up to support professional development workshops. I can run voting activities with Miro to help get insights into what the group is thinking. And I can move all the work into other formats to move it to the next stage.
Nice tool for product design and online people dynamics
What do you like best about the product?
Collaboration is the best feature. Also the templates are great. The way templates are available increases my productivity. Also the ease to manipulate the interface and elements are awesome. It is possible to do almost anything you want collaboratively in a quicky way. Past to covid every dynamic such as design thinking, design sprint and product interview loops were done phisically and Miro brought the enablement to have a similar experience on the web (online) - So it is what it is - now I am able to keep using the tools and mechanisms I am used to collaboratively and online. It's possible to comment, suggest and make interactions and editions online, with a history on what has changed on the board to track the editions and to rollback if you want to. I really recommend Miro for people who is responsible for leading a team or developing a product. For education purposes this is also true - you can explain in a visual way much better and easier.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not applicable. There's no dislike points on Miro. I think Miro could give an incentive to content producers (templates and other content). I would suggest Miro to develop a feature to chat and videochat inside the platform to improve collaboration.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Product design and strategy and, due to pandemic situation, a bit of people meetings collaborative dynamics.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Miro is outstanding on collaborative tooling. Also miro has a big difference on experience and is designed do easily be used by diverse teams, not only technology companies but even for education and other purposes.
Collaborative Whiteboard Tool
What do you like best about the product?
I like the templates, voting, and different plugins Miro has. It helps with the initial setup and it saves my time. I like it because it has timer function and people can work on the whiteboard at the same time. It is a great way to break the ice for a team meeting. I think templates are a great way to provide additional values. Depending on the user groups, if Miro can create more high-quality templates for specific professions to help them with reporting/presentation or other collaborative activities, then it will help to retain these customers and have a positive impact on word of month.
What do you dislike about the product?
The selection tool was confusing. I am currently clicking shift and then select the whole slide to move them. Not sure if there is a better way. I am trying the free version, so I was concerned about other people seeing my work. Hope to see more tutorials on how to do things or some tips & tricks to be more efficient.
I did not notice but I created a board on someone else's board that shared with me. I did not want them to see it. So in shock. I did not notice the tab on the side. Not sure why my account was not the default one. Hope to be notified when I login and tell me in an obvious way which account I am.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am doing a presentation with Miro on UX design. The templates are very industry-specific, so very time-saving. Manager from another team used it for a team meeting, in that meeting, one teammate is leaving the organization so she was doing some social activities with Miro whiteboard so everyone can participate at the same time. I have a friend working in the public sector and she was trying to present to her team on Miro, and she delievered a demo to me, which introduced me to Miro. I like the visual designs of Miro. The logo looks ugly in my opinion lol. Hope to see something more modern.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Try to play with it first to learn the basics first. See if someone can guide you and help you create your first board. Or see if there is a community that you can tap into, asking questions and using their templates.
Enables workshops/collaboration virtually possible / Best virtual whiteboard
What do you like best about the product?
Flexible to design to your needs, Interesting templates. Easy to use. My favorite is the inbuilt timer. Feature of getting everyone to my current view. Frames give the ability to use it as a large whiteboard. Very useful to conduct workshops. when used along with teams breakout rooms it is easy to see the complete picture at the end.
What do you dislike about the product?
Uploading templates is a bit difficult sometimes. Everyone has to have a license to create unlimited number of boards. There could be a mechanism to make to more widely available.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Retrospectives are so much better because of the options Miro provides. Design sessions are much vibrant. Team members are actively engaged. Miro is enabling me to use my creativity. I felt my ability to facilitate remote sessions was limited.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Miro will enable your teams to overcome the limitation or challenges they are facing because they are distributed.
Great tool for engaging others remotely for sales, team brain storms, sharing ideas
What do you like best about the product?
When used with an iPad, the ability to draw on Miro while working with someone (or a group) on Zoom creates the experience of being on an office together and working out an issue or exploring an idea on a whiteboard. The ability for everyone to contribute to Miro board is potentially an improvement on a in-person meeting because everyone is able to contribute at once. We use it for internal brain storming sessions with 2-15 people regularly. I often use it in one-on-one meetings to share ideas and teach.
What do you dislike about the product?
It infrequently goes down, but when it does it is frustrating. I simply cannot host the same meeting without it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Mostly brainstorming, teaching, and co-creating. I often create Miro boards on my own and then use them to share new ideas with others.
Best of Breed
What do you like best about the product?
Infinite space and navigation controls are intuitive and easy to learn. Has a host of features that are easy to use and limit as part of the UI. Frames are well thought out and work as expected. Templates are very useful and designed by SME's.
What do you dislike about the product?
Doesn't integrate with Figma yet. I want to be able to put Figma pages into Miro.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Great concept space and sharing capabilities make it ideal in combination with Figma's collaborative design.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I've tested all the concept whiteboard/collaborative workspace software avialable and find Miro has the edge in features, interaction model, and usability.
If you've ever used post-its, or wanted a larger collaborative space, this is it!
What do you like best about the product?
Miro is like a universe where your post-its can live. It's great because you can keep adding blocks or flows like you would using post-its all over a wall, but it's digital, so it's tree-friendly. Eco-friendly post-it usage for the win!
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it is hard to keep track of items as the workspace can get to be so huge. With the ability to zoom in and out almost indefinitely, things can get lost.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have been able to have our notes and workflows in the same space. It's like using PowerPoint, but without it being a slide. Super helpful!
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you love and use post-its but want an environmentally friendly option, this is it! No more seas of post-its all over the floor. No more walls covered in post-its. Just organization.
The best free form and flexible mapping software out there.
What do you like best about the product?
I really like being able to mix and match the type of maps I use on one canvas. I like being able to drop in video or embed web pages and the ease of making flow charts. I also like using Frames because I am able to frame different maps that I have on the board and then present them to my clients as either a presentation or as a pdf download. I also like the fact that I can embed these boards to other platforms like ClickUp. This is super helpful for when I am working on a client task or documenting client assets for a project. Another huge thing I like is the fact that one client I have already uses Miro for their business and was able to invite me and I see their company workspace and still can also see my workspace in the same account. With other mapping software when you try to share a board with someone who has an account it takes over and you have to decide either to relinquish your paid account or signup with another email address.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing I dislike is that I can't save custom shapes. The workaround I am doing right now is to make a template with all of the shapes I need and then loading that up. But that's a bit cumbersome and really inefficient.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I build marketing and sales automations for businesses and being able to map the flow and process before jumping into the tool to build is awesome.
The online platform that is helping me to finish my thesis.
What do you like best about the product?
I like this platform very much for many reasons. First of all I think it is convenient to see my co-workers' cursor in real-time as we build an idea. And Miro is so easy to use that it makes my ideas flow very quickly. I really like having a lot of possibilities to customize the shapes. It is very useful to have infinite space to develop my diagrams. I also like being able to arrange the information in frames and then being able to export those frames to image for use in my written reports and presentations.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would love to have more free boards available to develop my ideas. I would like an easier way to copy the style of the shapes, something like a button that allows to copy the style to different shapes at the same time. And to finish I would like to have better. To finish, I would also like to have better templates, for example, I need to make a timeline linking data I have in Excel, but I can't find a way to do that in Miro.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am currently developing a research thesis about building maintenance. I have noticed that when I use miro, my ideas are more consistent. I use Notion for my daily information management and I love being able to have Miro inside Notion, it's amazing, these two applications solve my personal and professional life management as well.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I recommend using Miro for project management. It is an efficient platform because it allows you to have collaborative boards in real-time, and it is elementary to use. You will not regret it, with this kind of tool it is a pleasure to start your working day.
