Makes Remote Collaboration Easy & Fun
What do you like best about the product?
To pull everyone's attention/viewport to the presenter's view is a giant lifesaver to make remote sessions easier to facilitate. The voting add-on and the music inside the timer make everything lighter when sessions can be energy-draining and intense. The wireframe tools helped my team collaborate with non-design stakeholders bringing everyone's ideas to the table easier.
What do you dislike about the product?
The learning curve for new users can be challenging, especially for those who don't use online collaboration tools often.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Facilitate Design Sprints, Create all types of canvas for team collaboration, bring together different teams to work together remotely. Unify stakeholder's visions and business rules for particular projects like an Online Checkout for University, Work Sessions to Optimize UI Components of a Design System for Telecom company, Service Blueprints, Customer Journeys, User Flows, and User Experience Mapping in general.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Always consider some time to learn and teach essential Miro functions to everyone that will be using it, especially if you are planning on facilitating collaborative sessions with stakeholders.
Really like the tool, started to using it for so many different things
What do you like best about the product?
It's fun. At the start of March 2020 i knew Miro existed, alongside some other tools like it. When Covid-19 hit I, as so many, had to change my work-modes. After trying out different Tools and Apps like Miro, Miro sticked. It's fun, it's simple, it's easy to teach others how to use it. I am using it for Workshops with clients, as well as for my lectures at universites. One sideeffect is, that I stopped using any presentation software. It isn't necessary any more. And I appreciate the new features, that are added constantly.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it's unstable, but usually fixed quite fast. I had one situation where Miro wasn't starting and clients couldn't join the board. That was not specifically wonderful, but something one has to keep in mind when using digital tools - I used that for some teaching. ;) At another time the sorting of the frames didn't work. That gave me some headache, cause I had to sort the pics in the exported PDF. But that was fixed soon after and the next day it worked again. So not many complaints from my side. :)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Interaction within workshops and teaching: Miro supports me in my usual teaching style, i.e., interacting a lot, creating different settings for learners, and staying flexible. Another aspect is that it supports modular planning and design: My preparation changed a lot during the last year. It's more modular and spontaneous, it has to be that way, cause usually, one has less time when working digitaly.
And it's much more fun for the participants. They all like it and say that it is such a nice difference being able to do something instead of staring into a videoconferencing tool.

Great collaboration and digital workspace tool
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to organize and share personal research work with colleagues by using ready-made templates or forming my own digital workstation.
What do you dislike about the product?
If I paste an image in Miro space, I need to download it afterward to import it in another document (e.g. google slides). It would be easier if I could copy the item from Miro and pasted it directly anywhere else.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I can form my own workstation instantly without size limitations. Plus I can directly share the work with my team and collaborate over a topic directly on the material.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
You can transfer much of your research notes on this digital space without limitations, plus you can use many different templates for better set up and organizing your thoughts, notes, and work overall. If you are running a collaborative workshop with people that have not used Miro before, send them the bord invite link earlier so they can familiarize themselves with the tool and have a better engagement.
Practical, easy to use and great for collaboration
What do you like best about the product?
Love love love the templates! Love how flexible and autonomous it feels to use. Great for organizing and mapping out thoughts and ideas. Absolutely love how easy it is to crop an imported image and resize. I also love how easy it is to collaborate using Miro. It's very helpful for remote working and team bonding. I think Miro does a phenomenal job at making their product easy to use and very practical, while maintaining user autonomy. I really appreciate the version control features and change log.
What do you dislike about the product?
There really isn't much I dislike, but if I'm extra critical, it would be that there's no option to flip the menu navigation. So when I use Miro on my iPad, being left-handed, the menu nav is on my left side instead of right. It would be nice to have the option for left-handed folks so my experience is more seamless. Also there is a lot going on in the menu navigation and I feel the options could be reduced to reduced overwhelm.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm solving and simplifying complex problems. So being able to dump all my thoughts somewhere and organize them on a Miro board has been a game changer. Having the ability to import images to create mood boards quickly is another great benefit.

Miro is an absolute game changer. They also provide an extensive library of templates for different diagrams and boards to use to organize your information. Highly recommend it.
Best Brainstorming Program for remote teams
What do you like best about the product?
I was introduced to this program as an instructional designer looking for an online collaboration space to do needs assessment with my subject matter experts. Generally we do this in person with sticky notes on the wall and move everything around. My SMEs are not really fans of technology, and so selling them on an online collaboration space wasn't the easiest sell. But, now they're all about using Miro. We use it for: curriculum design (overall), individual program development (mind mapping), program retrospectives (agile). It's a wonderful way for us to work together.
What do you dislike about the product?
So, if I were in house at one company, Miro is perfect.
However, as an independent consultant, Mural has a few features that Miro doesn't like consultant licenses, to help keep the data separated, online timers, and anonymous mode. I think it might be a better option to use Mural for people who ave mutliple clients OR who facilitate a lot of VILT.

I'd previously done this in files like word and then shared to Dropbox or Google docs. Miro is easier to see immediately who is working on what and doesn't have the corruption issues I see with Word/Dropbox.

It helps us to brainstorm on our problems thanks to its large canvas and extensive tools.
What do you like best about the product?
I like the drawing tools, even though they can be improved. It helps us to explain ourselves, like quickly drawing on a piece of paper. However, we would like to see the support for an eraser that can erase a part of a drawing piece, instead of completely removing it on contact.
What do you dislike about the product?
We would like to see a more stable video chat. We want to work on Miro without depending on any other software on our online meetings. However, it almost always forces us to use different virtual meeting software since it frequently disconnects users. Also, it would greatly help if you improved prototyping tools, especially for mobile app development. We tried to use Miro as our primary prototyping tool, but bringing in visual assets is cumbersome. For example, an integration with flaticon.com would be awesome. We also would like to see an option to save text formats for a quick use. Like the three saved pen tips inside pen tool, having an option to save different formatted text input under text tool would be quite helpful. We usually copy/paste the existing texts to use the same format. If we had the option to save the format as a favorite, it would increase our productivity greatly, since we repeatedly use text inside our boards.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is easier to communicate on our work that sometimes requires explaining visually, by writing or drawing. It is a lifesaver through the pandemic since we all work remotely now. We use Miro to discuss on our mobile development. We use it to work on our backend solutions as well as to brainstorm on frontend design.

Miro offers an engaging and interactive way to brainstorm, draw, and discuss ideas in a live virtual environment.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find it challenging to collaborate with people on multiple projects when I have a Miro license and they don't. The limit of three boards for a free account is bothersom. I would like there to be a step to allow people to swap boards rather than delete and then accept new boards.
There is also a learning curve that people tend to need to overcome before they engage with the software in depth. I have noviced that people tend to be 'shy' at the beginning of meetings, but by the end they are throwing up sticky notes and drawing arrows all over the place. The Miro experience definitely improves the more you use the software.

Miro allows my firm to engage clients visually, and gives us the ability to record our meetings in real-time. It has been fantastic to watch people enjoy adding information to boards and learning to use the software. It is fun to see people learn the software over the course of a single meeting and then advocate for using it in new ways later on.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I am sorry that I didn't get Miro earlier. It has completely changed the way my team collaborates remotely. Miro allows us to feel more like we are in the same room, around the same sheet of paper, working as a team.

What do you like best about the product?
It is helpful in facilitating remote yet collaborative, creative sessions for workshops, brainstorming, process mapping. It's pretty easy to user create visual presentations. The canvas has different kind of templates like: diagrams, mind maps, workflow board, etc. which makes it much easier to create according to the desired visualization for any type of work. Has option for Jira and Confluence integrations.Inviting external collaborators is also as easy as sending an email invitation or sharing a private link. Teams can take down notes and arrange information using the sticky notes feature. There are different colors available for sticky notes for easier visualization and readability. Users can tag sticky notes with custom labels, ensuring that they can be easily located later on. It allows team members to react to sticky notes with emojis and can be used for different purposes such as voting and checking off to-do items. Another great thing I liked is that they conduct webinar sessions to help interested candidates learn about the capabilities and features of Miro. I recently attended one and it was very interactive and insightful. I highly recommend interested folks to attend these.

Can't really think of anything as of now. Looking forward for more usable features to be introduced. Integrations with other tools will make it more useful.

We've run all our client workshops through Miro for last year now!
What do you like best about the product?
The tools are easy to understand in no time at all. Clients can jump into a workshop and participate right away. The board is so large and processes pretty quickly, so we've begun projects in Miro to get rolling and continue to grow that board for months, with every meeting ending up in Miro.
What do you dislike about the product?
The conference tools do work, but they're not easy to find for first-timers, and they don't yet allow breakouts.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We're bringing together globals teams in workshops to review research, ideate, and review product concepts. It's fantastic that anyone can continue to review the board asynchronously on their time, making our touchpoints more efficient.

What do you like best about the product?
Miro is an excellent companion to explain schemes in meetings, especially in virtual ones. It is easy to use, and the cost is very convenient. The adoption was immediate.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are a marketing agency, and we are using it a lot to explain the dynamics behind digital campaigns to our customers. Adding a visual explanation is powerful and helps to increase the understanding of complex schemes. Now our meetings are much more productive using the aid given by Miro.

My recommendation is to set up a free account. Try the product and then decide what you need. It worths a try.
