Miro has taken collaboration in my team and company to a whole new level
What do you like best about the product?
Miro is a versatile tool in a sense that it offers a wide range of features and countless use cases, yet it is so so easy to use and intuitive that it becomes an instant must-have for every team and company. The team at Miro is phenomenal and we are proud to be part of Miro experts and template contributors to Miroverse.
What do you dislike about the product?
It would be great if Miro allowed using custom fonts, which would enable users to customise the templates and boards with their own visual identity.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Miro has become a truly indispensable tool for me, my team and my company since we switched to remote-first. It's an essential aid for running decision-making, problem-solving meetings and ideation meetings.
I love Miro

What do you dislike about the product?
text formatting limitations
Loading issues on some browsers (IE, Safari)
Tables adapt to content inserted but sometimes this can cause the layout to get out of control
would be great to be able to paste in more video formats
(minor) when exporting boards the low quality/small size PDF is too pixelated, would be great to have a compression similar to a small PDF so that the images don't show blurry but the file is manageable
layers would be great, perhaps for advanced users but a way to lock the 'template structures' (e.g. the diagrams and lines) all in one go would be really handy, instead of grouping and then locking which can be time-consuming
love all the rest!

Recommendations to others considering the product:
better than Mural, worth the investment. Train a few people in your team and then upskill others through collaborative workshops. Keep boards as templates so that you never start from scratch or waste time and repeat/refine the approach for your sessions
Great whiteboarding tool
What do you like best about the product?
With the flexibility offered by the tool, you can draw whatever you need. This is a great tool for people like me who are very visual. You can quickly and easily whiteboard concepts and then adjust and update the contents. The many templates can also accelerate your adoption of the tool because they give you a great starting point for planning, mind mapping or other charting work. I appreciate the ease at which I can invite anyone to view and edit my board, this makes collaboration with external actors very easy. The ability to use the app online in a browser or in a dedicated app also provides a lot of flexibility. Being able to make and adjust a thumbnail for your boards is a nifty feature as it makes finding past boards very easy when you have a lot of them in your workspace. I've only had to use support once so far and the experience was quick and easy, the team was very helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes, adding text to arrows in flow charts can be a bit tricky as there isn't always a visible cursor. I honestly can't think of anything else that is negative other than the free version being perhaps a bit too restrictive.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Great for building flowcharts or doing story mapping exercises with a group of people. As a remote-first company, Miro is the equivalent to having an empty meeting room with a large whiteboard. The tool makes it really easy to collaborate on a chart with multiple users or to work on quarterly planning using virtual sticky notes.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Miro is excellent for digitizing all Post-It notes, notepad graphs, charts, and drawings that we typically accumulate. Instead of screen sharing, providing everyone with access to a board and letting people navigate around on their own as well as make adjustments really enhances collaboration.
The best tool for creative team work!
What do you like best about the product?
This is an amazing tool for creative teams. The fact that you can have a video call and work on the boards in realtime works so well. In our organisation we produce large, complex exhibitions and Miro helps us all have the same understanding of where we're at. We can work both with text and visual production, and when work gets intense, like in the run-up to an opening, the fact that we can send quick comments or confirmations to each other on the board makes the workflow seem supersmooth.
The presentation-tool works really well - you make frames directly on the board, and you can custom your frames to suit your presentation needs. This was everybody is looking at the same area of the board when you are working remotely.
Collegues who are not involved in the main project production are able to have a look around on the Miro-board and quickly get an understanding of both core-elements and an overview of the complexities of the project, and pick out the bits that are relevant to them.
Yeah, cannod reccomend this enough.

What do you dislike about the product?
If there was anything to dislike is the cost. But it's worth it! You pay for a yearly subscription and after that per seat on the board.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The problems we are solving has to do with the various levels of large scale exhibition-productions. Without Miro it is difficult to get a grasp of the complexity and many levels of understanding, but in Miro you could do a quick sketch on a board to explain your meaning. Just like picking up a pen and paper to explain an idea in 3D quickly. This is essencial in our workplace.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would reccomend people in the museumworld to have a go at using Miro as a collaborative tool. It is so vísual so it serves the purpose really well when you ar working with visual production.
Unearth real insights through Miro collaboration
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to create frameworks easily using simple graphic tools. This then provides a fantastic opportunity for genuine collaboration. As an Innovation Lead, it's easy for me to visualise ideas and then bring the team through them. Working together it's easy to keep iterating in the Miro platform.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not being able to see everyone on the video call option makes running workshops a little tricky sometimes. It would be great even to spotlight the person speaking if we can't see everyone at once.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
1. Visualising ideas
2. Roadmapping innovation
3. Iterating ideas
4. Workshopping remotely
5. Developing product frameworks
6. Hands-on collaboration digitally

Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would absolutely recommend Miro.
It has enabled us to do everything from run remote workshops to full week-long sprints with clients. This was the primary reason we adopted Miro but now members of the team use it daily for their own individual purposes like idea generation, mapping, diagraming and road-mapping.
It's incredibly powerful. The one watch-out on workshops is that you cannot see all users at once, i.e. if you have more than four users on a call. However, Miro also keeps adding new functionality like the recent addition of "reactions", which also helps with running workshops.
If you're someone who needs powerful but clear and nicely designed diagrams or mindmaps, then Miro is the right tool for you. The important thing about this too is the ability to simultaneously work on a mind map with multiple people at once. Happy diagraming!

Miro - a great collaboration tool
What do you like best about the product?
Being able to collaborate work with my colleagues and the fast and intuitive User Interface. Additional, the many templates are a great way to get started and onboard new users. The Fremium version offers a solid range of features and is a good starting point for working together with your team and sharing whiteboards.
What do you dislike about the product?
A small detail I dislike is that sometimes users drag items around unintentionally when multiple users work on the same file. Furthermore, the fact that recent changes are highlighted is not very convenient for me.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am using Miro mainly for remote and interactive workshops with multiple users. Additionally, I have switched some meeting notes completely over to Miro, which makes the interaction way easier. We have also used Miro for our brainstorming sessions since going fully remote. That involves customer journey maps, mind maps and scamper.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would suggest just get started and give the tool a try. It is super easy to understand and with the many templates you even have a starting point.
invaluable resource for workshops during lockdown, and now our go-to platform
What do you like best about the product?
It's intuitive and easy to work with. I have run online workshops with groups of people who are not necessarily comfortable with this sort of thing and they all got the hang of it quickly. This is really important because when you are running a workshop, it's the workshop subject matter that you want people to focus on, and the tools should simply be serving to assist with getting everybody's thoughts and opinions recorded and shared, and should not take over. MIRO does this, and in fact allowed us to create new workshop exercises that really got people's interest and attention in ways that you might not achieve in face to face. I can see us continuing to use this platform for workshops even as face to face meetings become possible again
What do you dislike about the product?
One annoying issue with writing text - which I can't quite get my head round. The size of the text box and the size of the font are connected, so when you write the box just gets wider and wider rather than wrapping, and if you try to resie the width of the box afterwards, the text shrinks down instead of wrapping. The only way to get it to wrap is to put line breaks in. This is daft - the functionality should work the way text boxes work on all other programs (Word, Pages, InDesign, Acrobat etc etc)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
MIRO meant we were able to carry on with what we do for our clients. Hard to know how we would have run our strategy brand reviews without some sort of online collaborative tool to use - workshops are an integral part of our process, and we needed something that replaced the flipcharts and post-it notes of our face to face meetings. MIRO does that brilliantly.
This is a great tool and amazing value!
What do you like best about the product?
The functionally is amazing, it has a really diverse range of templates and so easy to use as a Whiteboard in meetings, but we mainly use it for graphic representations for change management and strategic development. We use this tool to engage a wide range of stakeholders across the organisation.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only issue we've found is the flashing ad's for external viewers (those that don't have a Miro log in) are very distracting and have been flagged by viewers.

Miro - Mesmerising, Intuitive, Reliable & Open
What do you like best about the product?
The user experience - it's so intitutive ! It's also amazing for large group tasks and exercises as you can use Miro as a bridge between nations and people. I love that url's have a preview as well - this is one of my favorite features as you can quickly and easily identify information to click into - I now use these instead of bookmarks on my browser. It may be good to look at connecting bookmarks in someones browser to Miro? Or have some form of extension add-on to quickly add them in to a project.
What do you dislike about the product?
Viewing who's in your team could be made easier!
I can be difficult to keep things the same scale - usually we use a sticky note as a reference but it would be amazing if Miro had some form of automatic scaling system to retain a productive and reasonable board size !

I study Innovation Design Engineering at the RCA and we have been using this for our course connecting students from all over the world working on really diverse challenges and projects. It has allowed us to literally take on anything and collaborate between ourselves no matter where we are in the world.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you need to pour your mind into a medium to direct your thoughts this tool is one of the best thing that will allow you to do exactly that!
Very good platform for remote collaboration
What do you like best about the product?
Possibility to collaborate all my tasks in one comprehensive tool. Additional, this tool is straightforward to understand for all my colleagues during all of my workshop and brainstorming sessions.
I can use Miro boards and frames as a metting notes what is very readable and clear.

What do you dislike about the product?
Post-it, possibility to edit and format text. I use post-its to share any comment on my board and text formatting is not very friendly - however, it is slight disadvantage ;-)
Some performance issues when I'm working with a lot of screens and files (both online and desktop versions)

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Daily workshops and brainstorming sessions. Additional I use Miro to sketch processes and Value Stream Maps
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Consider how many colleagues may work with you on one board. Additionally, consider how much information you are using during sessions - too many files, screens, etc., causing some performance issues. Security aspects are also fundamental because Miro is mainly used for collaboration, and revealing some confidential data may be dangerous
