Top-tier collaboration tool
What do you like best about the product?
Miro is one of my favourite collaboration tools that I use on a daily basis. It's easy to use, powerful and very capable. I use it both on a personal level, on a team level and a company level.
Miro drives creative thinking. It's a tool that has been a key part of some recent projects, whenever I invite users to a board to work on something they always find Miro fascinating and enjoy using it. Miro is the enabling factor in our workflow and is our go to place to generate ideas.

What do you dislike about the product?
The only downside that I can think of is that you only have access to 3 boards under the free plan, but that's not a big issue for me.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Creative and agile thinking. Miro is our go to place for ideas.
Planning. We use Miro to plan out projects and milestones.
Ideation. Before we'd be doing this through a Teams call, now we can all collaborate at once in one unified place.
Research. Miro's built in templates let us quickly, easily and professionally produce personas, journey and empathy maps, etc.

What do you dislike about the product?
Overall, I and my team is very satisfied with Miro and have little to complain about.
- Auto format in the text input, font setting does unnecessary formatting while editing the text.
- Nice to have more collection in the object library

Great for group collaboration, idea gathering, whiteboarding
What do you like best about the product?
The live steam sticky note/whiteboard capabilities for use with group brainstorming sessions! We get loads of ideas together with them.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not every function is super intuitive to figure out how to use, so it is helpful if you are planning on diving right in with a brand new group, if one person on the call/in the group knows how to use it already. Then they can explain to others when they get stuck. For instance, we had to create tiny colored dots to put on the stickies, and it wasn't all that easy for people to figure out how to do that!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Group collaboration/brainstorming virtually is a must since we have all been remote during the pandemic.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Try it out if it fits your budget and you have a remote team.
Cool, agile and shareable!!
What do you like best about the product?
The timer is really helpful when I do workshops for my clientes. And Miroverse is great because I can get inspiration from another people. I like when other facilitators share the content of their workshop because I can see blindspot in my workshop strategy. I would like that Miro adds facilitation skills at the Miro university.
What do you dislike about the product?
I do not like that the lines do not have a function to avoid the conection with other elements. Because some time I just want to add a line that is not a conection is more a line aesthetic and the system do not let me do it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
My workshop and management issues. The benefit is that I can easily share my ideas with friends and team parthners.
Miro is my passion & life saver
What do you like best about the product?
- compeltely customizable: you can play a lot and enever get bored
- a space for creativity: you have total freedom to create whatever you can & even can't imagine
- super user friendly interface: 2 min for onboarding newcomers
- cross-platform: I usually srart on my desktop app, then swith to iPad for some drawing, and can upload a photo of stickies from my iPhone
- interactive: you feel like a creator; you want to try everything & invent new things
- visually good looking: it's aesthetically pleasant to work with this tool; it's also possible to use miro for both "dirty back end work" and "shiny front end" presentations & performances

What do you dislike about the product?
- browser version is lagging: I'm using macOS Big Sur 11.4, had to switch to the desktop app only; tried with Safari & Chrome, both lagging & crashing down
- exporting as pdf sometimes doesn't work: needed to export a huge table, just stopped working
- lack of fonts, especially cyrillic
- lack of editing functions for images: would be amazing to be able to at least rotate & crop uploaded pictures
- limited drawing tools: I'm using iPad + pencil, and it takes time to choose the proper scale; additionally, it's only three active colors and one pen & one highlighter

Way more than just a virtual whiteboard
What do you like best about the product?
It's a super versatile software. At our company we use it for brainstorming sessions, planning meetings, debriefs, kanban boards to track tasks and progress, collaborating on video scripts, sharing early ideas, documenting user research ... pretty much everything. It's also great for onboarding new empolyees, because all information is there and linked.
The team behind Miro seems to be super dedicated - continuously shipping new features in really short cycles.

What do you dislike about the product?
Some of our boards are very big in terms of size and number of elements on them and that makes them slow and not very responsive even when using the dedicted Miro app.
Also: The designer in me wants to be able to add drop shadows and gradients to elements :)

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Collaborating got infinitely more easy and convenient with Miro. Sharing powerpoint or keynote files is still quite the hassle in comparision and doesn't offer as much flexibility as Miro's infinte canvas does.
What I really like is how well it works for doing interviews and even remote rapid prototyping sessions with our users and potential customers.

The one and only tool for remote workshops and collaboration – wouldn't use anything else anymore
What do you like best about the product?
Best option to brainstorm ideas, collaborate with colleagues, teams, clients. Working with Miro is way better than using classical whiteboards, as they are super flexible, from a small gathering of ideas to complex sketches of context.
We started using Miro during the pandemic, but will stick to it even though we can now go back to the office.
We use it for:
- brainstormings
- retros
- client workshops
- onboardings
- infrastructure documentation
- games and social
We did start off with the competitor Mural, but found Miro to be better in performance, especially with larger groups, to be more flexible, and to have more/better templates.
Besides the whiteboard options (sticky notes on an unlimited board) there are handy features like timer, background music, even video call for collaboration.

What do you dislike about the product?
The sounds available for background music could vary more. It becomes quite repetitive. Integration of Spotify would be superb!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We solve collaboration in a time where we cannot be co-located. It has never been this easy to get together and work digitally. Miro is one of the reasons we will probably always remain a remote-based company.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
No way around it, seriously!
Miro is the ultimate mirror of my thoughts
What do you like best about the product?
It is simple and the interface allows me to manipulate the objects as if it was on paper infront of me. Once you get used to the basic commands, it immediately becomes a great space to create and collate my thoughts
What do you dislike about the product?
Miro does not have many things I dislike. I want to edit docs or PDFs inside miro when I add them to the board (if this feature is not already there). Some of the templates do not always behave as good as I want them to, but I must say, they have improved so much since I first started using them, and I think this is not something major, just me being picky
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps me collate ideas, draw designs, collaborate designs, and plan tasks. A copy of my brain memory banks :D
I use Miro every day for all of these tasks and what is unique about it is that it allows the space for designs to be so close to where we draw and record ideas.

Recommendations to others considering the product:
Just use it and spend some time playing with it to learn and learn the keyboard controls. I promise it will speed up productivity. it is the best of these tools
A great tool to draw diagrams and flows with your team
What do you like best about the product?
It works really smoothly, including when there are several people collaborating in real-time. It's easy to use and start with and comes with some predefined items and templates to start working with a team just by sharing a link. The rest of the team can join by logging, or also in anonymous mode.
Another feature I find really useful is to "follow" a person, so the canvas is always following the presenter´s mouse cursor.
Finally, the last feature on the most liked group is the marketplace of apps Miro can integrate with. It's easy to find a lot of tools you're already using, if not all of them.

What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes we need more specific visual items to use in the diagrams without having to upload an image, but I guess they cannot provide all possible use cases.
There's a Zapier integration, but I miss an Integromat one to automate with my current work apps.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We were looking for a tool to use in our video conferences to share ideas and make flow diagrams, and Miro accomplished it. With this tool, we can analyze what we want to do, propose a diagram of the solution, discuss and modify, and finally decide the solution and export it to our documentation system. So the main benefit is that we can replace more easy our office meetings with a video call.
Another problem we solved with Miro is the brainstorming meetings. When we need to think about pending work to improve our application, for example, we find it easy to open a canvas, start to add notes, and then decide which ones we want to start working with, and the other remain there for the next session.

Recommendations to others considering the product:
There's a free plan, so the best idea is just to register and try it for one or two sessions. Soon you'll decide if it fits your needs.
Working remotely or in person, Miro is an ideal platform for collaboration
What do you like best about the product?
Incredibly easy to use with an intuitive interface. Can use it on any platform or device with ease and even posted it as a tab within MS Teams. Works great with a tablet for sketching with teammates. Being able to seei where everyone is hovering their mouse is incredibly helpful and have even used it for voting on ideas (cursors all hovering around what grabs the most attention). Love that uploaded images are downlodable. Website address instantly convert to a small preview, which adds to the visual interest of the board. Great to see changes made by others highlighted upon launcing.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes taxes the computers processor, kicking up the fan. When the CPU is taxed, it also causes some challenges with selecting items and screen refresh - might be a bit memory/processor intensive, especially when running concurrently with a Zoom or other video conferencing session.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Miro has been great for sharing work progress (pinup of designs/drawings). Also use it for brainstorming sessions with the "sticky-notes" just as our team would in person. It's also been incredibly valuable for marking up work/redlining, and storyboarding presentations and publications. Benefits? Keeping everything in one accessible place. And, in the future when returing to the office, it doesn't take up physical space!
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's totally free to sign up and try it. There is nothing to loose. Also, if you work with a university or other academic institution, an education account is free forever for faculty!
