Best tool for any creative (marketing) team

  • July 28, 2021

What do you like best about the product?
The endless possibilities that Miro offers. We use this for content planning, to keep up with our campaigns and graphic design. Mock-ups for webshops. You name it. It has a great feedback system and brainstorm features. We use this with a whole team. Management is also involved to see what is going on.
The greatest thing is that you have a visible overview of everything that's going on at one glance. You can also upload everything in HR, that's a great plus.
What do you dislike about the product?
So far we haven't found any downsides. It works like a charm.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Seeing the bigger picture with the enitre team. This is something we struggeled with and Miro solved that problem.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's a no brainer. Try it.

Miro is the best tool for any thing you need involve people (for design development or teaching)

What do you like best about the product?
I like the freedom Miro gives you (it´s a whiteboard where you can customize it as you want). The best part of Miro is sharing the board with a link, and people don´t need to be a member of Miro to edit. I used for all my projects as a UX designer: to run workshops, organize my tasks and run briefs meetings. Amazing!
What do you dislike about the product?
There is nothing I dislike. If I need to say something, I will say the feature of video calls didn´t work properly when I used, so I now I always try to avoid these feature using other video call software and share my screen.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I used it for my UX projects: to run workshops, create flow charts, experience maps, organize assignments, and create the projects plan. The best is that it can be shareable, and we can use it in Teams with the clients!

What do you like best about the product?
I always love to use the Miro due to its beauty of connectn multiple boards where internal dependencies, external dependencies, risks and issues are cleary called out.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not seen anything specific. Highly satfisfied with the usae of Miro.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Especially due to remote working, Miro is becoming very efficient and effective as we feel all are at same location and working toether.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I highly recommend the Miro for enterprise applications where many applications partners can work together with a very effective and efficient way of planning.

An awesome tool to help the UX Designer daily work

What do you like best about the product?
I really love the tools as Mind Map and Flowchart, they helped a lot to make my work
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing that really bothers me is the fact that there are few options to choose from icons apps (compared to other softwares like Figma, sketch, and XD). Also, there is no option to recolor the icon
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With Miro, I can unite information and do all the parts of research, study, and structure of the UX logic in one software what really helps to show and explain all my ideas and resolutions
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Miro is everything you need if you really like to put your ideas on a board and organize them with a lot of tools. I really love it and helps me a lot in my daily work.
Miro has a lot of useful integrations with other software and although I don't use all of them, it is really nice that it has so many options.
Miro specializes in visual collaboration so it does not support advanced project management features such as project planning and management so it is most appropriate for creative teams such as graphic design, web design, UX design, product development, and game design as we do here at Triplano.
Everyone here at the team, from developers to designers, artists, and producers, will look at a Miro board at least once every day. The designer team (Game, UI, and UX Designers) do most work on Miro, even documentation since it's a great collaboration tool.
I use the Mind Map and Flowchart tools daily and they help me a lot to organize my work in a way that my team understands and that the developers will implement in an easy way.

Rocket fuel for your innovation sessions

What do you like best about the product?
Infinite canvas is one of the big things to prevent you from being stressed about the upfront organization of your work.
Frames are the second preferred thing, combined with presentation mode, which allows you to break out of your PowerPoint world and be fully transparent and collaborative.
What do you dislike about the product?
Selection mode. As you layer objects on top of each other, the double-click function to create new elements does not work as you select the existing things.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Any meeting I have is happening now in MIRO. It helps me create meeting minutes that can be added to by the meeting participants, allow to jointly and real-time conduct user research and record the insights, off-sync build stories and refine the presentations.

Amazing tool for working across the organisation

  • July 27, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
We started using Miro within our Product team for workshopping and collaboration (we're a remote first company).

Its such an easy to use tool that we're now using it across the organizations for all sorts of purposes.

They keep adding decent new features regularly and Miroverse is a great new addition for inspiration.
What do you dislike about the product?
The organizations of boards is a little clunky and could be better. As our usage has grown, thats becoming a small inconvenience!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a remote first team (even pre-pandemic) with colleagues across all timezones its given us a platform to work together and asynchronously in a free form manner.

The unstructured nature of it encourages creative thinking over a spreadsheet or doc.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are looking for better ways to collaborate you can't go too far wrong with Miro. Even in person workshops get documented in Miro for transparency and visibility.

Perfect tool - easy to use - many ways

  • July 27, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
miro is an extremely easy tool to use. it can be used for many purposes and functions. in our case we started using miro to replace the classic whiteboard during the covid period.
later we started to use miro also to design diagrams related to customer jorney and customer interactions with our points of contact. one of the advantages of miro in my opinion is the possibility to interact "really" in real time. the whole team can enter comments and modify the whiteboard in a very collaborative way.
What do you dislike about the product?
As i wrote in the title the tool is perfect. rarely happened to find a platform so well made.
If i really have to point out some aspects that could be improved: 1) with the free plan you can only have three private boards. this is actually a pretty strict limit, but it is still acceptable considering that it is the free version. maybe you could think of giving a trial period during which these limits are not there.
2) It would be nice if you could start a video call directly from miro or if you could use it with MS teams or Google meet. I saw that an integration with zoom was recently released. It would be helpful to replicate what was done with Zoom with teams and G meet as well.
3) maybe it could be useful to introduce a versioning of the whiteboard to keep track of changes made. so you could recover an element maybe deleted by mistake.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We started using miro to replace the "old" whiteboard during the covid period.
After that, we also used it as a brainstorming tool to gather ideas, to work on the customer journey. Extremely convenient is also the lack of extension limits of the whiteboard. this allows those who have the free plan to be able to create very large whiteboards and thus manage the limit of 3 editable boards.
With Miro today we have a tool that simplifies and speeds up a lot of our work. We will no longer be able to work without Miro.
The tool is also very useful because it allows us to share the board with external guests, limiting their ability to modify the content.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are looking for a tool to replace the classic whiteboard Miro is for you, but it also does much more.
It lets you have an infinite white space in which you can make diagrams, draw flows, insert tables, screenshots and images, insert icons and many other useful objects to do the work you're doing clearer.

Makes workshop facilitation and presentations a breeze

What do you like best about the product?
As a UX Designer, Miro has enabled me to get my ideas down quickly, group my relevant findings and wireframing. From there, I can then organize the information, add a bit of design and be ready to present or share with our team or organization.

I've found it a great tool to collaborate with other departments and run workshops, ensuring that everyone is on the same page and collect their input. The great thing is that your boards can continually be accessed. So, if anyone has that moment of inspiration they can go back to it and add their thoughts and ideas.

Having the timer feature, and ability to bring eveyone to your screen, as well as the wide range of templates and design tools that help format your information, all these things help me to save time and create a great experience for presenting, workshops or just thrashing out ideas with the team.
What do you dislike about the product?
Perhaps the ability to change icon colours.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Streamlining process mostly, getting quicker feedback on design decisions and information structure. We very much work in an agile way, so miro helps us with communicating and getting much-needed input at each stage of our process.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I've found it great for workshops, presentations, organizing, and creativity. Try it out, you'll love it.

Great team collaboration tool for creatives

  • July 26, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Miro makes it easy to share inspiration photos with the whole team. We are able to easily move around imagery and see what our teammates are thinking. It is very productive when every team member can be working in the same space at the same time on Miro.
What do you dislike about the product?
We haven't had any downsides using Miro so far.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Before using Miro, we would print and cut photos to share inspiration imagery and physically pin things up to cork boards. Miro has made it easy to do this digitally and allow the whole team to participate simultaneously, not wasting time. It also is excellent to have this online to access anywhere and update the live board so teammates can see real-time changes.

Couldn't live without it

  • July 23, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The best part about Miro is the online real-time collaboration. No other tool that I know of can show all the other collaborator's cursors, has easy sharing options for view/edit modes, and allows complex workshops to run in this post-covid environment.
What do you dislike about the product?
Downsides... Honestly, I can't think of anything major. The only slight niggle I have would be sometimes working with frames can be a little touchy and they can be hard to grab and move around.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Miro allows me to do my job with clients in a remote setting. I run Agile workshops and training in an interactive classroom environment, so this tool allows me to do this even during lockdowns or with remote clients.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Miro is better than other options out there! The templates are incredible, and even on a free license, the amount of features is second to none.
