Miro for UX UI

  • November 09, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
That is very easy to use and the learning curve extremely short . I like collaboration, sticky notes, templates and copy paste screenshots.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing really. If anything it runs a bit slow if I am on a zoom call (I share my screen) and I have not been able to install Miro app in zoom
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use in my lessons. I am a UX UI instructor and I am leading the class using miro for affinity mapping, empathy map and so on...
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It is an excellent tool to teach a UX UI class and to do design thinking techniques

Fast and extremely user friendly

  • November 09, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Miro is exceptionally user-friendly. There is almost no learning curve, so I'm able to get new users up and running quickly, which saves me time in the long run. The suite of tools available is fantastic for my purposes (wireframing, creating timelines, etc.).
What do you dislike about the product?
There is very little that I dislike about Miro. If I could change one thing, it would be to customize the side toolbar. I use the wireframing library frequently and having that button instead of one of the others on the left toolbar would be helpful for me!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I've done a large-scale, internal product redesign using the wireframing capabilities of Miro. I also use it to help my team concretely game plan ways that we as a company can improve.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
The other big tools I've used for similar things are Figma and LucidChart. I would consider Miro more robust than Lucid, and more user-friendly than Figma.

Great app for sharing ideias

  • November 09, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It has so many options to use that is very versatile, for sketching a new product idea, from ideation and just easily drawing your ideas. The plugins also help a lot!
What do you dislike about the product?
It's a bit pricey for other countries, as it's in dollars and a bit expensive because of that. You can't delete a board or choose which is in use in the free version. The miroverse could also be a bit easier to search and navigate.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use it for anlysis in qualitative research, co-criation with stakeholders, easy and simple mind mapping tool, framework distribution among colleagues and even for book annotations.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Just use it! It's a great, simple, quick tool to use and share with team members

Miro is a great MAESTRO tools at hand for any professional

  • November 09, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
MIRO has great UI and UX that delivers the real value for any project be it a Brainstorming session, Research project or a Sitemap development. One more thing I must not forget to mention is a Team Collaboration. WOW! WOW! WOW!
What do you dislike about the product?
Loading time... Sometimes it really delays in loading. I had this a few times when I was in real need for one of my urgent projects.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Honestly, I really have a huge requirement of MIRO in many of my future projects. One to specifically mention "Design Thinking Process" for an upcoming laundry app that we are going to revamp completely from the scratch.

Easy to use and explain to peers

  • November 09, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I find the ability to customize so many aspects of the program is my favorite feature. I watched a peer present a miro board and, after seeing it, was able to create my own. I navigated the program without any training and was able to learn quickly.
What do you dislike about the product?
There isn't much I dislike. The only thing I get slowed down with is the pointer vs. the "grabber" mouse. I think this is more of a user (me) issue than a program issue.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sales processes and user role breakdowns are the reason I'm currently using Miro. My organization uses Miro for collaborative brainstorming, and having this easy access has been valuable and productive during our work from home months.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Easy to use, access, present, and collaborate.

The Best Tool on the Market for Collaborative Content Creation.

  • November 09, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Live real-time collaboration from people all over, not just in the same room. The tools offered are quite comprehensive and allow my organization to deliver flow charts, SOP's, data tables, &, etc that blow our presentations out of the water.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is a little tricky getting used to the various tools and how they work, being able to move things around on the board without moving the whole board, or vice versa. I recommend an experimentation session/board when you first start so you can experience the various tools and what they do.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are solving problems of not having cohesive and comprehensive SOP's for our staff to follow. The benefits we realized was through creating flow charts first to map out our processes we were able to pinpoint deficiencies before we created the SOP's, therefore making our SOP's much more comprehensive and accurate for our employees to follow.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Definitely worth the subscription cost in order to be able to print out spreadsheets etc.

the best whiteboard

  • November 09, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Creating bords and tasks is clear without reading instructions. Miro has the optimal number of settings, not many, but just right
What do you dislike about the product?
I find switching between teams and projects confusing. I'm not sure about the access levels, who has access to a specific project, and who does not. I wish to have a better error handling for the case when someone is sharing a board with me, but when I open the link, I am redirected to my home page and can't understand why I don't see that board
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Most often, I plan further work. It is very convenient for me to collect all notes visually and in one place.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's a good tool for planning and collaboration

Visually pleasant, fast and collaborative

  • November 09, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
As a UX designer, I have used Miro for two years; I do most of my work with it.
I find the Jira integration really useful: I do all the story mapping with the team, which provides excellent clairty. I wish the colors assigned to the tickets would stay even when the ticket is converted to a Jira ticket.
What do you dislike about the product?
The wireframe assets could be improved visually.
As Admin, I wish I could delete boards created by mistakes by members of my team.
I am not sure if video chats are recordable, it would be useful for certain meetings where the whole team isn't present.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Miro is for everyone, so including developers and product managers in my design process is very easy. This allows for clearer project kick-off and less time spent in alignment meetings.
I also use it as "project timeline" and as a centralised place where my team can see where in the design process I am, certain decisions and some documentation (I use it together with Confluence).

The stellar customer service and/or support they’ve received
How Miro has helped their teams be more creative and collaborative
The speed, ease-of-use and multi-user support
What do you dislike about the product?
I really hoped that we can spell Miro as Myro not Mee-ro. Also I hope we can get more or better export options on the free version. Hahah sorry :)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
1. Teams collaboration
2. Fast and Easy wireframes
3. Capture brainstorming sessions
4. Productivity

Amazing Platform to Engage Your Remote Team -- Highly Recommend!

  • November 09, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like how easy Miro is to get used to use. It is very simple and easy to explain to newcomers on the platform. I also like how you can upload various items (photos, GIFs, etc.) from other platforms. Miro has allowed our organization to find amazing creative solutions for our clients. When you first look at some of the larger Miro boards they seem scary but once you watch the how-to videos, dive in, and learn Miro you realize that it is a very simple platform to use. I also love that the board can be edited simultaneously by different users and it is not affected. The useability and ease of access has been super beneficial to our team!
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish that Miro had more options to align with a company's branding (allowing hex# for all colors and allowing the user to upload fonts). If various items were more customizable in this way it would be awesome! I also wish that there was a feature for people to sign on as a guest without having a Miro account so that their name is visible to others.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Connecting remote teams, keeping teams interactive, creative solutions to corporate problems, connecting teams around the world, getting teams excited bout team building activities. We were able to connect so many people and we are so grateful for this platform.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Watch the intro videos to have a deep understanding of the controls and learn the quick keys ;) Play around and have fun with it! Enjoy using Miro, download some boards from the Miroverse first to see how things are layered and how the designers designed them -- this helped me gain a deeper understanding of the program.
