Best for thinking the things through

  • May 17, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Miro is the best to create a mind map, discuss the concepts with the team and review them as we go. It enables creating quick and efficient theories of change, and duplicates the tools you need (e.g. boxes, arrows) with one click. The ability to add stickers on top is great, as it serves as a reminder. It is just great for saving some valuable time that we all need.
What do you dislike about the product?
The fact that the free version does not permit sharing only some of the boards, but not all. We are either way looking to beef up the engagement and go for a paid version, but for people testing it first and playing with it (e.g. I first need to get my team comfortable with it), the free version should offer privacy on some boards so they can use it as their to-do list, things they are thinking about and some of their notes, without the need to share it with the rest of the group.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Developing a quick mind map, developing and quickly reviewing theories of change, creating research plans and doing notes from the meeting. We already had (a range of) different tools utilised, but Miro saved a lot of time by being intuitive, so made us switch to it.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Give it a go, and use it a couple of times. You'll quickly see how useful it is.

Almost anything you can throw at it

  • May 17, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love the core functionality; the ability to collaborate on an idea, with your colleagues. Whether we're all at home, in the office, or a mix.
I love the integrations that can be connected: IconFinder is a common one for us.
I love Templates, you'll always manage to find a new template - that template can inspire you to communicate an idea in an interesting way.
What do you dislike about the product?
The ability to more granularly track any changes on a given "board". I believe this would allow users the ability to retrace their steps, or retrieve an object that was deleted.
We use Miro to plan out the future 3 months of our work. We found frustration that you cannot pull in cards from ClickUp tickets as you can with JIRA tickets.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are solving a very large problem: how can we collaborate on ideas no matter our location, with the same level of detail.
Here's another Miro helped me solve recently: how can I effectively communicate ideas in a fun and interesting way.

As an organisation we have realised the benefit of bringing everybody up to the same level of "tech" expertise. Only then can we all communicate ideas on a level ground.
Miro helps us to achieve this. It is easy to use, and easy to introduce to a co-worker.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Start with their Verified Training. Have a play around in Miro, use templates, tools, apps etc. to get a feel for it - then create a board for your first meeting!

Must have for online meetings and workshops

  • May 17, 2022

What do you like best about the product?
Pre-made templates, Miroverse templates, and AI features are at the next level.
I save so much time, and clients love this structured approach to working together. I use it daily- externally, as well as creating. Regarding customer support, when I need something, I "google it," and it is done. The team is very responsive on social media and runs a great community. I do not use external integration apart from Google Docs because it is.
All the teams I work with get it immediately- zero friction implementation. It is straightforward to integrate it into their workflows. It is simply intuitive, and if you send them a mini onboarding video before the meeting, they can get right into it—zero friction, in my experience. Miro also has a generous startup and partnership program, which
What do you dislike about the product?
The only features that are still a bit clumsy to me are the ones related to spreadsheets, but the product gets better every month, so I am sure this will be resolved soon.
I also got tired of the same pallet of sticky note colors, which is cosmetic.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I love the empowerment of attendees at workshops, which Miro offers in a seamless fashion. The software is so intuitive that the first-time experience is almost frictionless. I love its voting feature and custom templates that make the preparation for collaborative meetings and workshops really simple.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Just take it for a spin. They have fantastic onboarding, educational videos, and great templates.

Miro - Versatile, complete whiteboard

  • May 13, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Miro is a flexible tool, ready to help plan your day or develop your next big project idea. It has templates all built-in with some ideas already prefilled to give you some idea of how and where to start. It can link to external sites where you can draw inspiration or guidance, you can link documents and flick from page to page, mind mapping as you go. For the planning stage of the project and working through an old process, this is very useful. I find this very handy for exam prep for those of you working through exams. It's an excellent one-stop-shop for putting all your links, ideas and documentation in one place.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find the sizing can get a little tricky at times, just take care when you are starting a board as it can be zoomed in or out and the text size that you have started as could be in the 40s plus instead of the usual 10-14 points. Minor issue to be fair but it can cause a bit of frustration when you start to build your board into a bigger board and have to remember to size it to match.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Project work, study work, designing new customer project journeys, using it for time management via Kanban boards, retros etc - there is pretty much a template for anything you could need.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Do the tutorial and explore the templates

Freehand is liberating.

  • May 12, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Freehand makes collaboration very easy with my team because we can view each others comments in real time. This creates a conversation for ease of developmentation.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish more team members would work with Freehand. We could better discuss projects across the team. I think people are afraid to put down their comments.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are correctly solving problems that the business side can see the actual path a user will experience. I have noticed a marked decrease in time spent on a project.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would say the best use is when you have many hands looking at a project and want to share ideas in real time.

The whiteboard to top all white boards!

  • May 12, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love that FreeHand is ever-expanding. You are not limited to the size of a piece of paper. It can all link together and live as a working document.
What do you dislike about the product?
Switching between selecting and dragging was a little clunky the first time using it. However, I was able to get the hang of it super quick.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We were in the early stages of brainstorming a project. We needed to get lots of ideas down and start to visualize it as a remote team. InVision helped us do that. Took whiteboarding to a whole new level.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you love to collaborate with your team or your clients, this is the platform for you.

The best white board experience I've come across!

  • May 12, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I often need a whiteboard where I can express my thoughts with complete freedom. I use Notion and Loom to put together formal proposals. I'm not aware of a competitor. I've just stuck with InVision because of the infinite white board.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like to create tables/grids easily and undo mistakes easier. There are instances where I would like to make text bigger within a box and it can be difficult to do.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm able to mind map things without any constraints. Connect different ideas together and just think more in line with how my mind works. My ability to demonstrate and show ideas to the larger team is improved.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Show the UX work design and concept.

Keeping track of all campaign graphics in one place to see if everything flows appropriately.

Remote Collaborative Wireframes

  • May 12, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Freehand is like the whiteboard in the conference room. I love the ability to collaborate live with peers and also having a way to quickly illustrate wireframe concepts.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't think I dislike anything about Freehand. It's a great one to one replacement for traditional whiteboards.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Freehand to share wireframes, and content layouts for individual web pages when a detailed design mock isn't required. It's allowed for faster completion of tasks.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Freehand is a great tool supporting collaboration between design and technical/management partners.
