Recommendations to others considering the product:
i would highly recommend Miro for any online workshops whether its interactive or not. Miro covers almost all the aspects of virtual experience. It is so far the best alternative to face to face communication/interaction which brings all the elements on table to make your online collaboration richer.
Simple, Efficient, and Brilliant: Miro
What do you like best about the product?
What I like most about Miro is the ability to collaborate with my colleagues, and to share our ideas and concepts with one another. It's great that we can leave sticky notes and comments (especially in different colours which is great for colour coding purposes!) for one another on our ideas to further explore our concepts virtually. I also love the range of different types of boards and mindmaps that we can use to help share and collaborate with one another in a virtual setting. Being able to see who's online at the time is also another great bonus to using Miro.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's not much that I dislike about Miro, but sometimes the boards can be a bit slow to load, this could be because of the file sizes myself and my colleagues are trying to upload and view. Other than that, there's not much else to dislike about Miro!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The problems myself and my colleagues are solving with Miro are through live, virtual collaboration with one another. It's been beneficial, especially during these unprecedented times, to be able to work and communicate with each our virtually, from home, while still feeling like we're working together in the same space.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you're thinking about using Miro, give it a try! It's the perfect solution to collaborating virtually with your team.
Effective real-time collaboration for planning, ideation, and workshops - recommend!
What do you like best about the product?
I was an early user of RealTimeBoard and found the idea great, but execution not quite there. With the rebrand to Miro the product has taken a leap forward!
The smooth ability to collaborate on a large open board has proved invaluable in several situations - art/idea boards, running retros, quarter planning, cross-team collaboration, value mapping, the list goes on.
The recently quick updates and feature additions have been good to see and welcome.
I've used Miro in a startup setting, with remote co-founders. It was really good as an asynch platform to update early ideas and user stories while refining the idea. Even on the free tier, the available templates really helped to frame thinking and speed us up, as we didn't have to go from scratch.

What do you dislike about the product?
I found the Mac app to be slow and resource heavy. It does seem to have improved, but I still use the web interface most of the time. It would be nice to be able to turn off only my cursor at times.
I've had trouble with adding integrations.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have had two use cases: 1. In a bigger company on a design focussed project, and 2. A early stage startup idea, pre-seed.
The first was around having large, collaborative art board space where designs and ideas could be viewed, commented on, and adapted, both in real time workshops and asynchronous.
The second was about using ideation tools, such as business canvases, or user story design, to help flesh out and validate an idea. Using one board to cross multiple areas and find the overlaps really helped in determining our flow when creating our story.

Best tool for digital pinups and creative timelines
What do you like best about the product?
Miro lets you see everything you want to at once and lets you edit it in real-time, super easily. For studio projects, group and individual, I have created displays upon displays of work with images, texts, videos, and links, with absolutely no problem. I am convinced there is no better product for this service.
What do you dislike about the product?
Exporting sections of Miro can get a little bit difficult if you have such large boards with so much content. This may not be possible, or may have since been implemented without me knowing, but it would be nice if Miro boards would keep a running list of the corresponding files on your laptop, or even update in real-time. like Adobe is able to do with special objects.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Miro has helped my creative process in model building and additional exploration as an architecture student. I can record any tangents I choose to investigate, from varying graphic representations of models to the work of artists covered in studio. Miro also makes casually sharing things digitally possible. I don't have to create a final set of pinup boards to share what I'm doing.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I think Miro is a valuable product when working between physical and digital mediums. I think Miro is best used as a. tool for both visualization and documentation of things that may not otherwise be simultaneously viewable– keeping up with documents and digital versions/scans however is really important to perfect this sort of work flow.
Very helpful online collaboration tool

What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes confusing to know where you are on overall large board as well as how to use product.
Definitely suggest doing a training session prior to 1st use.

Recommendations to others considering the product:
Works really well for on-line collaboration, whiteboarding, brainstorming/design sessions, and documentation of output.

Intuitive platform
What do you like best about the product?
Miro is very intuitive to use, it is the first tool that I have used where I can literally map my thoughts the way they come to me and organize them in a way that can be easily communicated to others. I also like the visuals of the templates, there are pleasing to look at.
Miro is a beautiful collaboration tool.

What do you dislike about the product?
The print to pdf function doesn't work very well. For some reasons, the fonts are out of place.
Some of the tools (template, pen, etc.) of the same family don't allow the same type of formatting, it feels a bit restricted, but it could have been the developers' choice to keep the platform lean.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I think I am solving multiple types of problems. The first one is to communicate what I see to others. Hinging on visualization has been a big improvement toward it. Then, it's also about engaging people in the conversation and having them contributing to the vision.
Fast-paced tool
What do you like best about the product?
The most exciting part about working with Miro is its amazing flexibility and adaptability to every task, from architectural diagrams to UX storyboards.
What do you dislike about the product?
After all these years, I still don't understand how board access rights work. Who will see the board I have created? Why do I see some of the other boards and some I can't? And - finding some board I created a year ago, is possible only with the link at hand, it just sinks somewhere in an endless page of boards.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
- The ability to keep all project materials on one borderless page
- A huge number of templates for any task
