Miro our Visual Collaboration hero

  • August 29, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The most astonishing thing about Miro is that the team can work more seamlessly on creative things from project planning to execution through visualization. I also find its inbuilt communication feature quite helpful as we also regularly conduct meetings and real-time discussions using its real-time chatting and video conferencing feature.
What do you dislike about the product?
Because the new user onboarding part is quite limited compared to the breadth of features, new users may find themselves in an uncomfortable position while attempting to use the possibilities of this great productivity tool fully.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We consider Miro to be an essential member of our team, regardless of whether or not we are working from a remote location, since it is so helpful in fostering creative team communication. We are now able to interact more realistically and creatively, thanks to the Miro.

Great tool for collaboration and creative workshopping

  • August 27, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Miro is very quick to pick up - there are helpful onboarding tutorials but the tool is pretty intuitive. Using the tutorials and documentation would help to get the best out of it. The interface is largely drag and drop, which replicates the experience of using post-it notes on a board very nicely.
What do you dislike about the product?
Formatting gets a bit fiddly sometimes if you are seeking to theme by colours. It's not always clear who has commented and where.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Miro in lieu of face-to-face creative workshops, which have not been possible during the pandemic. It is very satisfying to have an interface that eeryone can play with to give people a sense of participation.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Consider exactly what kind of format you want your online collaborations to take.

Doing great things together and remotely

  • August 26, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Besides build around collaboration, Miro has excellent templates that help you get up to speed and jump into what matters.
I've done a couple of workshops, and I also think using Miro is better than using real post-its.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes I miss more tools to illustrate, as other kind of software has.
For mindmaps, I'd love to have more tools like Mindomo has (to create more complex mindmaps and structure ideas)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm doing workshops. You can organize and categorize the information better and faster than with real post-its while addressing one of the most significant pain points at workshops: documentation.
I'm also creating UX artifacts, like user flows and journeys.
One of the biggest problems we're solving is having all the project documentation in the same place. Like having a big wall with everything: journeys, references, key research insights, etc
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Miro is a great platform for teams, with great and very valuable templates that can help you get up to speed and focus on what matters

Best tool for remote collaboration

  • August 26, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I'm impressed with the constant updates and new features to explore that enhance our teams' ability to collaborate remotely. The wireframing tool has been beneficial.
What do you dislike about the product?
The organization of boards and projects can become a bit messy. It could benefit from some sort of tagging system or visual hierarchy.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Remote collaboration was a big challenge at the start of the pandemic. Luckily, we had already been leveraging this tool, so there were no big hurdles to overcome when working from home became a necessity.

Great Collaboration Tool

  • August 26, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love that Miro is obviously listening to their user feedback and introducing new features regularly that make collaboration easier.
What do you dislike about the product?
The biggest issue for me is the time-out duration for company SSO is too short. I get logged out constantly if I'm not actively working on a board.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In a remote work environment, Miro has been critical to building shared understanding across teams and stakeholder groups. I'd say the number one thing our team has used it for is building service blueprints when the SMEs involved are not all on the same team.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you have a hard time building a shared understanding of processes across remote workspaces, Miro is a great choice.

An opportunity to share ideas and solutions together

  • August 26, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I really like the Templates and the collaborative way of working together with fellow service members
What do you dislike about the product?
The image integration is not working, it would be good to have the option to drag the image and paste in the frame again
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It was important in Scrum events of Transparency inspection of adaptation
Recommendations to others considering the product:
And a great collaboration tool, in today's reality and for the future, where remote teams will be increasingly present in society, Miro is fundamental for the work.

Handy tool for creatively portraying ideas and concepts

  • August 26, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
With Miro, you can literally draw your thoughts and share them with your entire team and stakeholders and even collaborate with them in real-time. It is also possible to chat and conduct team video calls within the app itself. So, Miro is mind-blowing, especially for bringing thoughts into visuals and working together with a team to plan and coordinate various projects.
What do you dislike about the product?
Because I work in a creative department, I appreciate Miro's excellent visual collaboration capabilities. A daily task management system, in addition to visual real-time collaboration capabilities, would be a great value above what is presently not available on Miro.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Thanks to the Miro for becoming an incredible visualization and real-time collaboration tool. Now, I can efficently draw and communicate my ideas, concepts, and vision to my manager and team members, which helps me remain creative and productive at my work.

Suitable for real-time collaboration but a bit costly

  • August 26, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Because of Miro's real-time chatting and video calling features, our team can collaborate and interact in real-time as if they were in the same room as us in our actual office space. It's a fantastic tool for creating mind maps, brainstorming, and various project processes, among other things.
What do you dislike about the product?
I'm not too fond of Miro's pricing plan, which is per user, which is costlier while adding plans per head. Instead, a bulk pricing plan based on each team size would be beneficial.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Overall, Miro has worked well for us as an exceptional solution for collaborative project management within a team working online from home. It, therefore, allows us to improve and debate different new ideas and thoughts constantly.

The best choice for visual collaboration, not everyday tasks or project management

  • August 26, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I always feel amazing using Miro because it is not just a digital whiteboarding tool; instead, it is a fundamental tool for drawing and visualizing almost anything. Another essential part of this tool is that our entire team can work together like they are working in the physical workspace to ideate, plan and manage things in real-time.
What do you dislike about the product?
When it comes to managing daily tasks or an entire project, this program does not match other project management tools in terms of functionality. Furthermore, the formatting and layout options are virtually endless, making building a coherent canvas at times challenging.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The overall experience has been positive. While exploring and utilizing all of its features can be overwhelming at times, we have successfully used it to drive collaboration within our team with an online meeting tool to fluidly whiteboard, precisely as we would have done in a regular office environment.
