Must have to handle remote working

  • November 17, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I use it a lot to run agile retrospectives, and generally, as a team, we use it for literally EVERYTHING!
What do you dislike about the product?
Over the past 12 months, I have noticed a lot of improvement in performance and new features. The macOS native app was slow, and I didn't see any value in using it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Connecting people, ideas, processes and being able to run retrospectives while being all working remotely. I cannot imagine any other tool better than this one.

It's a great program for organizing you and your team's thoughts. Hoping to keep seeing improvements

What do you like best about the product?
I like how it is built into your browser and super accessible. I like how easy it is to navigate across devices. The templates are helpful as well as being able to start from scratch.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish the controls were easier to learn using different navigation methods (mouse, trackpad, touch screen). Specifically, it took me a while to learn how to select all items on a board using my mouse. I also wish that creating trees were more automatic (less manual placing of arrows between boxes). Honestly I love the program, most of my suggestions are about making it even easier.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I often organize my user research insights, brainstorm new product ideas, and analyze complex concepts. I have also used it in groups for design activities. It is excellent for collaboration and getting your thoughts organized. It is faster and easier to change things compared to other programs and even compared to doing things on paper.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It is so easy to try it out so give it a try. Have others in your team use it as well and make it a company tool.

Miro - excellent collaboration and creative space

What do you like best about the product?
I like all the template options and the way that it is so easy to collaborate and use.
What do you dislike about the product?
I am still new to the product and am not sure how to use all the functionality properly. I haven't found anything I dislike yet.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Better collaboration and brainstorming. Flexibility is great and priced well!
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Great product, very creative and fantastic templates and collaboration. Definite Yes.

Like Visio, But Good!

What do you like best about the product?
The simple yet effective user interface allows for quick and easy additions, plus the easy way of collaborating as a team means you don't have to wait for updates from colleagues. I also like that the system is clearly under constant development, with helpful changes and additions most weeks - which are always helpfully documented so you know what new features you now have.
What do you dislike about the product?
The collaboration function is excellent, but the license model is a little confusing (very similar names, if nothing else) and can be awkward. For example, a "Free" board can be collaborated on easily, but a board created by a Pro user can't have collaboration from Free users without that being "temporary" - they don't get to save access to the board on their homepage, which is a frustration.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is being used for various forms of design and collaboration, from ITIL process development to the design of AI/ML logic and troubleshooting.

Great tool for brainstorming and general visualization

What do you like best about the product?
I love that Miro provides a real-time tool that you can use to collaborate with teammates remotely. I personally love to use whiteboards when working with teammates, but since we're all working remotely, we can't do that in person. Miro lets you do that. Not just that, but you can also use it to visualize personal tasks and to create your own innovative plans.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's really nothing that comes to the top of mind, but it may be beneficial to be able to collaborate with individuals not on your own Miro account. It may be possible, but collaborating with partners at different companies would be interesting.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Problems I am Solving For
- Collaborating with teammates in real-time.
- Whiteboarding out particular problems with teams.
- Visualizing specific workflows, like an email automation flow, a website UX flow, etc...

Benefits I have found
- A fun, intuitive way to work with others
- A great tool for brainstorms
- A perfect tool to keep track of my own thoughts

Pimp up visual collaboration

  • November 16, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Many themes to choose from to have a ready base. Initially very simple learning curve, so it is easy to use. Remote online discussion improved. It is providing inbuilt features to use instantly.
What do you dislike about the product?
Limited shapes are available for Diagram. Standardized UML shapes are not available. There are glitches that sometimes you need to restart your browser. The export settings/options are few and unclear
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Miro allows you to use a simple tool for remote workshops. Its intuitiveness allows anyone to work on it immediately without having first received training. Miro has all I want in a single tool: - works online - storage for PNG drawings, like a library - works nice with my pen tablet - wide variety of colors - control over background color and contour color - work with text and geometric figures - connect objects - group elements - fix elements and lock them in the background.

Excellent tool for collaborating in person and remotely

  • November 16, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The collaborative aspect is just great. So easy for people to join a board and start co-creating. I also love the flow-chart building tools, the easiest out there.
What do you dislike about the product?
Working with people using different hardware, I find that some struggle with the zoom in/out feature - which is essential when using massive boards. Works really well with a mouse and rollerball, but not everyone has that.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Visualising complex flow charts and decision matrices. It makes it so much easier to get others to interrogate my thinking, and to adjust and update. It is also incredibly easy to use (i love the connector lines with adjustable text!!)

Great flexible collaboration tool

  • November 16, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like that it's pretty much just an open space real time collaboration tool. The miroverse offers lots of useful templates to get started. The UI takes a little getting used to, but there are great online resources to learn how to use the pace of a board, as well as tips for icebreakers to get your collaborators up to speed.
What do you dislike about the product?
Like I said, there's a bit of a learning curve. Not everything is immediately apparent, and you'll sometimes find yourself clicking over and over to select the right item.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's been an online whiteboarding tool mostly. Group ideation, double-diamond activities, and even some activity tracking. Basically anything you'd use a whiteboard for--aside from freehand drawing--you can do pretty easily with miro.

Astonishing solution for online meetings, collaborative thinking and creative processes

  • November 16, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
All kinds of collaborative processes as well as creative thinking "on your own" is supported by Miro in a well designed form that is even suitable for using it as documentation for the customer.
What do you dislike about the product?
As a consultant "on the road", the possibility of working offline without an internet connection would be helpful in some places, even though this would mean a throwback for the possibility of working on a board together.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
1. Distibuted team work and facilitating virtual meeting or workshops
2. Supporting creative processes (wireframes etc.)
With Miro, our capability for providing our consulting services digitally has dramatically increased.

A new presentation way

  • November 12, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
After using Miro I started to present my projects in a new way, a more accessible and interactive way for my managers and co-workers. Besides that, everyone in the company domain can access and use my work as a reference to build theirs.
What do you dislike about the product?
I'd like to add my Miro board to the company's Sharepoint, and there's always an error occurring - don't know if it's Miro's or Teams' problem. Besides that, on Miro I can't click twice on top of a form and have a new post-it. This feature is different from Mural which you can block the shape and use it as a background.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
My job doesn't have an endpoint, I always have to add new information so my co-workers can consult to complement their projects. Miro helps me to add informations on board easier than PowerPoint and in a more excellent layout.
