Virtual & Visual Collaboration Made Easy

  • March 22, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
As someone who works remotely with a lot of designers, I have been using Miro for quite some time now, and I must say, I am impressed by its features. Here are some of the things that I absolutely love about this online platform:

Intuitively Collaborative: Miro is an excellent platform for collaborative whiteboarding. It provides a seamless way for team members to brainstorm and collaborate on ideas, even if they are not in the same location. The interface is intuitive and user-friendly, making it easy for everyone to contribute to the board, even at the same time.

Extensive Template Library: Miro's template library is a real game-changer. It offers a wide range of pre-built templates for different use cases, from project management to design thinking. This feature saves me a lot of time and effort as I don't have to start from scratch every time I create a new board.

Overall, Miro has been a game-changer for my workflow. Its collaborative features, extensive template library, real-time collaboration, as well as integration with other tools, and mobile app make it an indispensable tool for anyone who needs to remotely work together.
What do you dislike about the product?
While there are certainly many features that I love about Miro, there are also a few areas that could be improved. Here are some of the features that I think could be better:

Steep Learning Curve: While the Miro interface is generally user-friendly, there is still a bit of a learning curve when it comes to using all of the platform's features. It can take some time to get used to the various tools and functions, which can be a bit overwhelming for new users, especially as we try to get clients to participate during workshops.

Limited Export Options: While Miro allows users to export their boards as PDFs, PNGs, or CSV files, there are limited export options beyond this. For example, it would be great if Miro offered export options that were more compatible with other software programs, like Adobe Creative Suite or Microsoft Office.

Limited Import Options: Also it is difficult for me to import large Powerpoints or PDFs and I find myself having to copy slides over one-by-one, which is very inefficient. It's also difficult to upload a non-YouTube video to the board.

Overall, while there are a few features of Miro that I think could be improved, I still find it to be a highly valuable tool for collaboration and ideation. The platform's strengths far outweigh its weaknesses, and I would still highly recommend it to other users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Enhanced Collaboration: Branding agencies like mine often work with dispersed teams, including designers, strategists, and clients. Miro provides an excellent platform for teams to collaborate in real-time, brainstorm ideas, and iterate on designs.

Improved Communication: With Miro, we can communicate complex ideas and concepts in a visual way whether it's the narrative of the deck or a moodboard. This makes it easier for team members to understand and communicate their ideas effectively.

Enhanced Creativity: Miro's platform allows strategists at branding agencies, like me, to tap into their creativity and generate new ideas. The platform's visual collaboration tools and templates inspire new ways of thinking and helps my team come up with innovative solutions. We're able to store all our inspiration and examples in one place and reference it later to jumpstart our creativity.

Excellent collaboration tool, some improvements needed…

What do you like best about the product?
The remote collaboration functionalities and existing templates that save a good deal of time (and avoid "creator's block").
I also like the ease of share of the consultant plan
What do you dislike about the product?
The onboarding and enablement to use Miro to its full potential takes time and some habit change.
It's also difficult to "convert" some of the content into boards/frames and vice versa (eg integration with Office365 apps)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Strategy, team formation, transformation and change management action plans.
It id aldo good for joint problem solving, capturing simultaneous feedback/ideas in real time quite quickly, hence producing alignment, cost savings and efficiency gains

Miro is a great platform for virtual and in person collaboration.

What do you like best about the product?
DIfferent types of media can be incorporated into a Miro board with links to documents - it's all in one place, easy to share and to edit.
For in person collaboration it also removes the need of archiving the work in form of taking photos of the whiteboard or transferring process flows into another application.
What do you dislike about the product?
Virtual collaboration has always the risk of not having all participants fully engaged.
Handling tables is not so handy. Would be great to be able to tie in an excel sheet and work on directly in Miro.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Mainly process improvement, problem solving and mind storming activities. As mentioned, easy to share content, edit with a big team, no need to archive.
It was a great help during the pandemic.

Miro is an excellent tool for conduction workshops in a hybrid or digital environment..

  • March 22, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It's possible to use it on complex workshop situations in a way that makes it both easy for me as a facilitator and visually appealing to participants. A lot better than e.g. Collaboard.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's hard to export the findings and results in an easy way without alot of manual work arounds. Exportation to PPT would be nice with a possibility to edit the content.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Cross - functional participations in a hybrid setting. Which means more participants from separate parts of the organisation and a possibility to decrease travel expenses.

Miro is what whiteboard apps should be

What do you like best about the product?
I really like the Smart Drawing tool. Converting notes from one shape to another without losing the written content is great. Love how you can link to and from almost everything.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think it misses features for power users. Keyboard shortcuts could be enhanced. For example, it would be great to quickly switch to the Selection tool by pressing CMD when using another tool.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It would be impossible to run remote meetings and workshops without a feature-rich whiteboard tool.

What do you like best about the product?
Miro is an excellent tool for online collaboration. Its flexibility and templates — native and from the community — are excellent and provide a fantastic foundation for leading workshops, brainstorming sessions, etc.
What do you dislike about the product?
There aren't many downsides to Miro. The only element I would like to see improvements in is the desktop app, as the login process and tool are not ideal.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Miro is a great replacement for in-person workshops where the objective is to ensure everyone's voice is included and leverage the collective intelligence.

Lots of great tools for easy collaboration and ideation.
What do you dislike about the product?
Boards can get slow to load when lots of images have been added.

Miro solves the problem of sharing and collaborating on ideas. Gone are the days of big foamcore boards for presentations and sharing.

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like Miro's easy-to-use and adaptable design, which lets me work smoothly with my teammates. The ready-made templates and connections with tools like Trello and Slack help make our idea-sharing and project planning better.
What do you dislike about the product?
Miro's mobile app misses some desktop functions, which is a drawback. Plus, not having an offline option can make it hard to use when the internet connection is weak.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Miro has made gathering and arranging ideas during brainstorming simpler, helping us build and polish ideas. Seeing our thoughts laid out visually has made our choices better and encouraged our team's creative thinking.

Obtaining and organising information with MIRO

  • March 18, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
MIRO's collaborative features make it an exceptionally powerful tool for teams. Each team member can add and modify their content on the board simultaneously, giving everyone the chance to contribute effectively in real time. And with MIRO's impressive range of stickers, shapes and fonts, you can easily create vibrant designs that will grab the attention of all who see them. Tables can also be created quickly - making data organisation easier than ever! The interface itself is straightforward too, so even those new to boards won't have any trouble figuring out how best to lay things out, and users are kept up to date on any changes made by their teammates, ensuring that everyone stays ahead of the game when designing these helpful tools together.
What do you dislike about the product?
I love MIRO and find it to be an incredibly versatile product. However, while I'm able to complete basic tasks with ease, creating things like flowcharts can sometimes prove challenging. In addition, the constant feature updates not only result in great new capabilities, but also some disruption due to the rearrangement of current features. Despite being unable or unwilling at times to use all of the features available within this amazing program; overall, most computer user's needs are amply covered by MIRO's extensive range of software tools!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
MIRO solves the problem of making diagrams easier for me. Compared to other solutions, I find it much easier and time-saving to create flowcharts or any kind of diagrams with MIRO. What's more, MIRO's ongoing development means that there are always new features that help me to be more efficient and productive.

Simple, intuitive and organised

  • March 17, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
What stands out to me most about Miro is its comprehensive nature. With a diverse set of tools for sharing and creating visual content, this platform provides the perfect environment for team collaboration or creative endeavours such as art projects. It also allows users to customise workflows and design spaces to their specifications, while simplifying processes such as project management, idea visualisation, brainstorming, etc., making teamwork more efficient than ever before! What's more - and I'm continually amazed by the depth of Miro's capabilities - there are always new features around every corner in its vast library resource, full of innovative possibilities worth exploring.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't appreciate the lack of support for formats other than those used by the application sending a file. In addition, Miro's limited compatibility with different paper types and sizes can make it difficult to use effectively on certain websites. Navigating through applications that require a mouse is also tedious, although there are useful templates that may not be easily accessible due to their complexity.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Miro helps me organise and manage data from different sources more efficiently. I'm able to bring all my colleagues together for virtual workshop sessions that allow us to collaborate quite effectively, even if we're in different locations or time zones.
