Effortless Brainstorming and Sharing Platform

  • December 08, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like that Miro is easy to use and flexible, allowing me to brainstorm and whiteboard efficiently. It's like a blank slate where I can throw lots of ideas on the board and see if they stick. I appreciate how I can easily share my work and export it to other formats, making collaboration simple. I also find it convenient that I can pop in and out easily and make comments for others, saving time. The initial setup was very easy and quick to get going.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are times of clunkiness when trying to get something formatting how I want. When you have too many objects cluttered together it can be difficult to get each one right where I want it to be.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Miro simplifies brainstorming by being an easy blank slate for idea sharing and collaboration. It's flexible and easy to use, making it quick to jump in and out, add comments, and share work, saving time and improving workflow.

Outstanding Experience from Start to Finish

  • December 08, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about Miro is how easy it is to jump in and start diagramming without a long learning curve. The interface feels intuitive, and simple things like dragging shapes, snapping to grids, and using shortcuts make it fast to build clean diagrams.

From an implementation point of view, it is very straightforward: I can open a board in the browser, invite teammates, and we are collaborating in real time without installing heavy software or dealing with complex setup. [web:3][web:9] The integration capabilities are also solid—I can embed Miro boards in other tools and export diagrams easily, which fits well into my software engineering workflow.

Customer support has been excellent in my experience. When I requested the student plan, they reviewed and approved my application the same day, which really impressed me and showed they care about helping students access the platform quickly.

I use Miro frequently for software engineering work: architecture diagrams, database schemas, app models, and general brainstorming. The wide range of templates and technical shapes means I rarely need another tool for UML-style diagrams or system maps.
What do you dislike about the product?
The main downside of Miro for me is that very large boards with lots of elements can become a bit slow and heavy to navigate, especially when there are many images or widgets. In long projects this sometimes breaks the flow when zooming or moving around the canvas.

Miro also has so many features and options that the interface can feel crowded, and it can take time to remember where certain tools or settings are. New users in my team sometimes feel overwhelmed by the number of menus and icons before they get comfortable.

On top of that, some of the most advanced features and higher usage limits are locked behind paid plans, which can be limiting for students or small teams who want to use it heavily but do not have a big budget.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Miro is solving the problem of having technical information spread across different tools and files. Now my team can keep architecture diagrams, database schemas, and app models together in one shared board, instead of separate documents that go out of date quickly.

It also helps with alignment and communication. When we discuss new features or changes, we can sketch ideas in real time on the same board, add comments, and quickly agree on a solution. This reduces misunderstandings and long email threads.

Another problem it solves is onboarding new people. Instead of explaining the system only with text, I can walk them through the Miro board and show them the main components, flows, and databases visually, which makes it much easier and faster to understand.

Overall, Miro saves time in meetings, keeps everyone on the same page, and makes our software design process more organized and transparent.

What do you like best about the product?
I use Miro to create engineering design and architecture diagrams to communicate my projects with upper management and other teams. I like that it's easy to spin up a new project, invite collaborators, and all work together on simple or complex diagrams. My team has used it for everything from basic brainstorming to complex AI system architecture diagrams. It lowers the barrier to entry for new users on the team and makes the collaboration aspect more time-efficient.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have no complaints about Miro.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Miro to create diagrams that communicate project designs. It solves my challenge of illustrating abstract concepts with visuals easily. It's easy for my team to start projects, collaborate on complex diagrams and enhances time efficiency.

Effortless Collaboration and Clarity with Intuitive UX

  • December 08, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
UX is simple enough that most team member I bring into a board can use it the first time they try.
Very flexible to create all sorts of diagrams to create clarity for our teams and to see where the biggest bottlenecks are.
What do you dislike about the product?
No downsides. I'm just looking forward to heavier AI access to support the creation and analysis, rather than having to export PDFs and ask chatbots.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Creating clarity on strategy, org design, and workflows.

Enhances Remote Collaboration with Intuitive Features

  • December 08, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I really like the sticky notes in Miro, they're my go-to tool because they're super functional. There's something about the sticky notes that allow me to take them off and throw them away if needed, which I really appreciate. The setup felt super intuitive. I remember feeling like, wow, this is really cool and perfect.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like that I need to make two separate text boxes for different text hierarchies. I'd love to be able to edit text hierarchies more within a single text box, like having a header with a larger font than the rest of the text.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Miro helps me with organizing ideas, allowing me to move items easily and connect them, unlike a traditional notebook. It solves remote collaboration challenges by enabling asynchronous teamwork, letting my team work on projects at our own times.

Simple Workflow Mapping and Documentation with Miro

  • December 08, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The first thing that comes to mind is ease of use. We use Miro for a variety of things in our environment from mapping out workflows to feature lists to work breakdown structures. It's our go to tool for documenting anything that has a process related to it. Someone in our team uses Miro everyday and often multiple times per day.
What do you dislike about the product?
Like most software companies, Miro wants to make money unnecessarily on every feature enhancement. Subscription fatigue is real and Miro is no exception. They expect payment for so many features that really should be baseline.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We're a software development company. We're building software that has a lot of complex processes that need to be simple for the user. Miro is a great tool for being able to map out workflows so we can see the places users are likely to get stuck on complexity.

Collaborative Powerhouse with Some Usability Hiccups

  • December 08, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I really like Miro for its collaborative capability. It's very flexible and allows me to work in different spaces, which lets me organize my thoughts in one place and ensure everything works the way I want it to. The flexibility and all the features have been a huge gift for me. I appreciate that many people can work at the same time on the same Miro board. I find the ability to use different shapes and figures, and move them around the board, very useful. The Gantt charts are fantastic for putting all the needed information in one place and having different views for a specific board, which helps us stay better organized. Also, it's very easy to set up, and exploring the templates and features is straightforward, with a template for almost everything I might need, which is something I find spectacular.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes I have to lock what I'm doing because when I put different things together, it's very hard for them to stick together or stay fixed. When I make one change, it can change a whole structure, and then I have to go back and fix it. Also, when I do Gantt charts, it was very difficult at the beginning to know where to click to edit or update things because I had to go through different clicks to get to one response. I spent about five minutes looking for a place to edit all the dropdown menus and the configuration of the table. Maybe that's something that could be improved.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Miro for organizing my daily tasks into to-do lists and managing official mission travels. It solves collaboration issues by providing a space where everyone can join and see travel plans, supports team editing on the same board, and helps us stay organized with features like Gantt charts.
