Great Tool for Guiding Meeting Discussions

  • October 03, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like using Miro told hold a lot of scattered throughts around a kind of nebulous subject. If you are trying to solve a big problem at a high level Miro makes for a good dumping ground for thoughts. It then helps my build a strong mental model of the problem by being able to relate ideas together that I've dumped.
During meetings I find it very helpful because I can help others build a similar mental model quickly. Verbal or written communication sometimes just doesn't work well enough to get a point across.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is so much it can do visually but I have a hard time processing what is or isn't possible so I often end up defaulting to very easy visual features like frames, text, and post it notes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
High level roadmapping. Team Jurisdictions. Problem spaces that product and dev teams are working on to plan development work.

What do you like best about the product?
Miro allows you to visually represent ideas to co-workers with a number of features that make it easy to use. I use it daily to support with project management and presentations. Everyone I have shown my Miro board wanted me to support them in creating one for their projects. I also troubleshoot any issues they have.
What do you dislike about the product?
As Miro allows so much freedom, some people will struggle with the organisation, as what is order to one might be chaos to the other. It does also lack some features in regards to project planning and spreadsheet formulas.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It creates a colaberative workspace that allows everyone to contribute to the whiteboard and have a clear goal. It benefits me, by having a single location I can look at and see all the infomation I require.

Essential Tool with Easy Setup and Effective Templates

  • October 03, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love using Miro daily for both client work and my business, finding it invaluable for problem-solving, vision planning, and brainstorming. The consultant package is well-priced and meets all my needs. Miro’s pre-made templates, especially for tasks like SWOT analysis and process planning, are very helpful. I appreciate the digital nature of Miro that surpasses traditional whiteboards in effectiveness, allowing easy copying and pasting while building on ideas. It's an intuitive tool that I frequently recommend to others.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes when I use Miro, my homepage defaults to shared boards or teams instead of my personal business boards. This often happens when a board or team has been shared with me or if I've been added to a client's team. I would prefer to set my personal business boards as the default view, rather than having shared content appear automatically.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Miro to solve problem solving and vision planning, offering an effective digital whiteboard with templates for brainstorming, making it more efficient than physical whiteboards.

Great for organizing and brainstorming

  • October 03, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
There are so many unique small tools available in templates (the sticky notes especially!) or the timer feature. I feel like I find new templates and tools that help solve problems I need, and can be rather robust in solutions. Lately, I've been absolutely tickled by their choice of stickers (really great art, and so many silly images that provide the perfect context for what I need).

It's amazing how it can be a messy, chaotic brain storm workspace but then also be utilized to create structure and organization.
What do you dislike about the product?
It would be nice to have a "flatten" feature, as in multiple items are grouped together (especially drawings), that can be flattened and ideally have a heavy board become lighter. And otherwise, it does sometimes feel difficult to organize/find previous Miro boards. Perhaps a folder system could be useful for organizing boards.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
A way to visually represent abstract ideas, and a way for remote teams to come together collaboratively to work. It's an ideal and simple way to plan our weeks out in advance and refer back quickly.

An essential tool for remote design collaboration

  • October 03, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Miro has become an indispensable tool for my team and me. I use it for designing websites, packaging, and other marketing materials, and it makes the process much more efficient. Its collaborative features allow my team to work together seamlessly, even when we’re all remote. The ability to brainstorm, design, and iterate in real time is incredibly helpful, and the intuitive interface makes it easy for everyone to contribute, no matter their location or technical ability.
What do you dislike about the product?
While Miro is packed with features, it can occasionally feel a bit overwhelming when navigating through large projects with numerous boards. Some minor lag issues occur when working with extremely large designs, but overall, these are small trade-offs for the platform’s powerful capabilities.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Miro is helping us overcome the challenges of remote collaboration. Before using it, working with distributed teams was a logistical challenge, especially for creative tasks like designing websites, packaging, and marketing materials. With Miro, we can now brainstorm, create, and review designs together in real-time, regardless of location. This has significantly improved our efficiency, reduced feedback loops, and allowed us to meet deadlines more consistently, all while maintaining high-quality work.
