Miro is like my best friend to reach out to for many needs!

What do you like best about the product?
Miro has already become my best friend for several tasks, either at the office or at home! And I use it every day! To me, Figma is like JIRA, delicately created but not necessarily the most user-friendly, but Miro is like Notion, not the best tool for single or few specific needs, but always the first one that we might think of!😊

Why I like Miro? Because the features are quite intuitive and designed in a user-centric way. I have been using Miro for nearly 4 years at different companies and for personal side projects, and although I never really checked for Miro's official user guidebook, I almost never felt lost while using the tool! To me, Miro is like a Swiss knife, since it can be used for brainstorming, workflow drafting, data schema visualization,...and more! Yes, it might not cover every aspect, it might not have the most complete features, but it's the most multifunctional and the most user-friendly 😍
What do you dislike about the product?
For UI/UX designers and data analysts, the current version of Miro might still not fulfill their needs. For example, the preset designing tools are not as complete as Figma, or the entity relationship diagrams (ERDs) templates/buttons for data schema overview are not so hassle-free. Still need to do some manual workarounds. But overall, these are not big deals, because no tool is perfect! However, some better default "templates" would be beneficial!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The 2 most unforgettable business use cases that Miro helped me to solve: drafting ERDs in a short period to review the current data schema within my company, and completing a go-to-market project from 0. For the first use case, I was requested to simplify the internal data workflows which is comprised of a series of BigQuery's scheduled queries. As a new member of the data team, considering there were no existing ERDs or documentation from colleagues, I had no idea how many tables we had, what were their associations with each other, and what was the execution order for them. Thankfully, with Miro, I drew the ERDs of more than 30 tables within one week and trouble-shot the task! And for the second use case, I was leading a team of 5 nationalities - sometimes collaborating remotely - to create an MVP of social media mobile app from 0, and see how we could penetrate into these 5 new markets. Since we were tackling the "cold-start problem" of startups, we just used Miro to create the mockups, visualize the mobile user journeys, list down the findings of UX interviews, and eventually form the user personas in different countries - all on Miro! That was during COVID, so sometimes we just hopped on a virtual meeting room, opened Miro and brainstormed stuff together, and then the project was done successfully. This wouldn't be possible without Miro!:)

Easy to use and multi-purpose

What do you like best about the product?
How easy it is to use. It could be for sketching out a system architecture, organizing and visualizing various ideas or just brainstorm in general. I also really like how well the collaboration with others works.

I also really like the look and feel in general.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't think I have any major painpoints. Sometimes I miss having easy access to certain pre-built elements, but it hasn't been important enough for me to look into it too closely. And sometimes I manage to lose track of certain menu items, like the board history. There are a lot of features and menu items and I really like that, but it can also be a bit of work to navigate sometimes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Miro makes it easy to gather my/our thoughts and information in an easy way. As well as structure and share that with others. Usually it relates to areas where we have a lot of information and it should be easy to get an overview of things.

The best remote collab experience!

  • October 24, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Miro makes it easy to set up and onboard a collab team. Bonus points for having a desktop app to keep your boards separate from the browser. It's easy to get new users up and running with the basics, yet it also has all the bells and whistles for power users and deeper engagements. I also appreciate how well the draw tools function. As a designer, I'm used to having fluid design tools, and other digital whiteboards have clunky tools. I've used several different digital whiteboards and Miro is my favorite!
What do you dislike about the product?
There's nothing to dislike, just features that I don't use.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Collaborating with remote stakeholders on Persona development and Task Flow definition. Getting asynchronous input from stakeholders and team members. Creating living artifacts for reference and documentation.

Miro: Essential for Team Collaboration and Productivity

  • October 24, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Miro has been a vital tool for our team, offering intuitive visual collaboration and seamless real-time teamwork. Its versatility allows us to handle everything from brainstorming to complex project management. With smooth integrations into our existing tools, it has significantly boosted our productivity and workflow.
What do you dislike about the product?
While Miro is powerful, sometimes the board can get cluttered quickly with too many elements, which makes it harder to navigate or organize. A more intuitive way to manage large boards or complex projects would be helpful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Miro solves the problem of remote and cross-functional team collaboration by providing a shared, real-time visual workspace. It enables us to brainstorm, plan, and track projects all in one place, regardless of where team members are located. This has significantly improved our ability to collaborate seamlessly, speeding up decision-making and enhancing creativity. Additionally, Miro's integration with tools like Jira and SharePoint keeps our workflow connected, reducing the need to switch between platforms, which saves time and boosts productivity.

The perfect platform to structure your ideas and build on your goals

  • October 24, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about Miro is its endless possibilities. Whether its designing your own phrame from stratch or picking from one of the endless templates that are offered, for any business technique there is always a template to choose from, which you can then customize. It really helps when you know what you are supposed to be doing e.g writing a user flow, but you don't know how to get started. That's when the endless template examples come in handy.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are not many things I dislike about Miro. Sometimes, having too many choices of templates can be overwhelming, and often there is more than 1 template for each technique.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Miro allows me and my team to jot down our goals and ideas in an organized and visually appealing platform, which we can then use to document our processes and share among colleagues to aid in decision making.

We use Miro to map processes, write user flows, do online workshop sessions and brainstorm sessions.

What do you like best about the product?
User intercase is amazing, collaboration features (integrations, templates and the community)
What do you dislike about the product?
I would keep enhancing integrations with other collaboration tools, in order to facilitate data integration from boards to these tools.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In the initial phase of product discovery we use Miro on daily basis, brainstorming on problems/opportunities and related solutions (including wireframing, product specification)

What do you like best about the product?
the "map" can be as big as you want so it can fit everything, you can put sticky notes, documents and images
What do you dislike about the product?
I noticed that when you add text and sticky notes the others looking at the same "map" can see that which is great but when a document of more pages is in if I change page the others won't see it and they will only see the page that they selected, it would be great if you could add this feature
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
the map it can be as big as you want so you can basically put everything on it no matter how big the project is

Essential Tool for Project Managers: Miro Never Disappoints!

  • October 24, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
As a Project Manager with over four years of experience using Miro, I can confidently say it has become an indispensable tool in my workflow. Whether I'm running Agile exercises, facilitating Project Management workshops, conducting Retrospectives, or planning Quarterly sessions, Miro always delivers.

The platform is incredibly versatile, with widgets that allow you to post emojis, run polls, and even insert images seamlessly into your boards. One of my favorite features is its ability to show dependencies and integrate smoothly with Jira, which has greatly enhanced our team’s productivity and communication.

Miro’s ease of use, combined with its powerful collaboration features, has never let me down. It has consistently helped me engage teams, brainstorm effectively, and stay organized, making it a must-have tool for any project manager. Highly recommended!
What do you dislike about the product?
The least I like about Miro is the complexity associated with managing multiple accounts. Besides my personal account, I have an account provided by my company. It is sometimes difficult to transfer information between both accounts.

Also, managing team members is complicated. When using a free account, I cannot remove users or delete old board. This makes it difficult for me to keep my boards private or to clean up the clutter from my workspace.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Remote collaboration!!!!
No need for multiple persons to travel from distant locations to be able to come up with awesome visualizations, analysis and plans!!!
