Miro: The ultimate collaboration & ideation tool

  • February 04, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The inifinite possibilities - I love that I can zoom out and pan all over the board. The flexility of an inifinite canvas combined with shape and text tools and so many plug-ins makes Miro such a powerful tool. I've used it for ideation, Jira ticket tracking, team status, annotations, presentations and so much more. When I have a collaborative project, collaborators jump in with the smallest learning curve and are able to get to work right away without focusing on the software limiting them.
What do you dislike about the product?
Lack of ability to create organic shapes and a challenging object stack.
For more complex projects, I wish I could drag objects through a stack order and have a better way of selecting objects that are fully or partially covered.
I wish I could create more organic vector shapes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Miro is solving the business problem of disconnected teammates. I work in a fully remote environment with teammates around the world. In Miro, we can come together and collaborate and learn about each other. We have a virtual "office space" where each person has their own "desk" where they can post status updates and photos of their lives. We also collect product ideas asynchronously using Miro and leave comments for others to respond to when they start their workday.

Amazing tool for our firm

  • February 03, 2025

What do you like best about the product?
Miro makes it easy for members of our leadership team to engage with and use consistently. It appeals to those in my firm because it's a visual tool that can be manipulated to fit our preferences and working style. Everyone has been very eager to adopt it and incorporate it as part of our normal workflow.
What do you dislike about the product?
Miro can get a little clunky when dealing with PDFs vs. images, and sometimes the text tool isn't as intuitive as I'd like it to be (i.e. I still haven't figured out how to change the size of the text box without it being constrained to the size of the font).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I work with a team of people who prefer visual presentations vs. documents with a lot of text. Miro allows us to collaborate in a way that engages everyone, including my firm leadership, and maintains a record of the work that we're doing. The tool has a lot of uses for different studios — our design teams can use it to collaborate with consultants or other partners; they use it as a place to store materials that I (marketing) would need; and I can use it to get my teams on board with strategy for business development or project presentations.

What do you like best about the product?
Miro is really fun and easy to use. Makes the work with different people as easy as possible.

We use for several different purposes in our team, either to run agile retros or other meetings or simply to brainstorm and conduct workshops.

I love the templates that are making out work easy and also the integration of the AI is done well.
What do you dislike about the product?
Cannot think of anything in particular.

The comments could be structured in one place for better overview and resolution.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
working on the same topic with several people, helps me to visualise the concepts and ideas that are not yet ready to be put to the official documentation

What do you like best about the product?
The freedom to organize one's ideas as they are in one's head is a real win, especially since with Miro it is easy to make a summary of them.
What do you dislike about the product?
The use by several can be complex with deletions that are not kept in a history, a mistake can be made.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
the problem of organization on paper is resolved by the possibility of arranging one's thoughts without any limits and without a fixed framework

Great for ideation, collaboration and more

What do you like best about the product?
I've been using Miro almost every day for work for over 3 years and have found it a consistently strong tool for ideation, brainstorming and project planning. The interface is intuitive, it has a vast library of ready to use tools, but it is also flexible enough to let me implement my own ideas. The best part is that Miro keeps evolving. They constantly roll out new features and improvements that enhance the user experience, making it even more efficient. It’s those small, thoughtful touches — like the ability to paste a table as a sticky note — that really add up and make the experience feel more polished. It’s clear they pay attention to the details, and it’s those little features that make using the platform so enjoyable.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing I would improve in Miro is the sidebar. I feel like trying to find specific tools quickly can be a bit challenging, and a better overview and a more organized and customizable layout could make it easier to navigate.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Miro helps us in visualizing and brainstorming our ideas async, and it makes collaborating more effective. It also povides the perfect tools for supporting project management, helping us overview and keep track of numerous and diverse project flows simultaneously.
