Intuitive, collaborative tool that makes brainstorming and organizing ideas with my team seamless

  • July 07, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Teamwork: Miro is amazing for collaboration. Lots of people can draw on a single board collaboratively and in real-time, making the experience of brainstorming sessions and project planning very efficient.

Templates: There are tons of pre-created templates for anything from mind maps to kanban boards. This saved me significant time when creating my canvases, as well as sparked creativity when I was unsure what to create first (way better than staring at a blank canvas).

Flexible Canvas: The infinite canvas lets me organize my ideas, diagrams, post-it notes however I want.

Integrations: The integration make it more streamlined and compatible to workflows I'm already familiar with
What do you dislike about the product?
Learning Curve: Basic features are easy to get the hang of; with some of the advanced tools, it just takes a little while to learn how to use them properly because there's a fair bit of 'exploration' that needs to be done first.

Pricing: The free version is good to use for small projects, but if you want all the important features, there is a cost. That can be expensive for teams (adds up pretty quickly).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Miro helps with the challenge of remote collaboration by creating a shared, interactive space that allows my team and I to brainstorm, organize thoughts, and collaborate in real-time, regardless of location. It keeps our ideas and projects visually organized to provide a helicopter view to help manage progress against tasks. The assortment of templates and integrations with applications like Slack and Google Drive, are appealing , and open-ended canvas allows for creative freedom and productive meeting time. Overall, Miro has made my teamwork much more efficient, organized, and fun.

Achieving design clarity through real-time schematic collaboration

  • June 28, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
One of the most helpful features of Freehand is how easy it is to leave feedback directly on designs. It simplifies how we gather input and collaborate in real time. We also use mind maps to visualize ideas and define priorities early in project planning. Seamless navigation and built-in screen sharing make it easy to review progress as a team during presentations.
What do you dislike about the product?
We've experienced no major issues—remarkable for a real-time collaboration tool. The template library is solid, though it would benefit from further expansion with more technical and domain-specific options.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We've adopted Freehand as a key tool across planning, ideation, and validation stages. It lets us share workspaces effortlessly with people from different backgrounds—no setup or installation needed. Plus, since designs load instantly without using local storage, everyone can check project status or give input anytime, from any device.

Art Pipeline Transparency!

  • June 27, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
What's there NOT to like about Miro! From mood-boards to art development and art process pipelines. I've been using MIRO since 2020 when the world went remote. Which has allowed me and my team to work with a larger pool of talent world wide. It's integration with task management software allows us to keep at production visible and the PM's and produces happy with smooth task tracking. Over the years I've used Miro in a multitude of different ways. It adapts well to different pipelines and has helped streamline multiple studios I've been at now since 2020.
What do you dislike about the product?
I'm not sure if there a capability in MIRO or not for interactive UX development yet, but I think that would be a nice to have or even an image history past history (light source control). Sometimes I will save over an image by accident and I cant undo to the original. Also, I would be nice to have some templates for iterative design approval. But I love the software especially the desktop version.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Miro solves the issue of the iterative art processes and allows the team to have a very transparent view of the creative process. Old processes would include posting updates in JIRA or some other task management software, or in a chat thread like Slack, Teams, or Discord. Miro allows every step to be visible and relevant.

I do not have many dislikes for Miro. I can't wait to see what future updates hold.

What do you like best about the product?
I like that Miro makes really easy to help visualize complex concepts and project plans. Miro is often the starting point for our team whenever working on a project that involves multiple moving pieces. I also really like the template library which is a helpful starting point.

Miro helps me put information into a visual format, and then share that format in a way that others can easily share their feedback and collaborate. It makes teamwork easy in a remote environment.
