Better than classic Whiteboard

  • August 15, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Miro has improved my daily ways of working. As a technical engineering/lead programme manager, I spent a long time looking for a solution that would allow me, in one place, to create system pipeline visualisations, write code/queries, prepare presentations, plan projects, manage resources, set up networks, and more. Miro has also greatly helped to improve our teamwork, as working and sharing ideas and thoughts in one place is highly beneficial.
What do you dislike about the product?
There should be better integration with MS Office applications – Excel, Word, etc. The JIRA and AHA! connections, along with visualisation capabilities and data-sharing features, should be improved. GitHub integration would also be highly beneficial.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Overall technology systems pipelines and design strategic solutions.

A Must Use Program for Collaborators

  • August 14, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
One of Miro's most powerful features is its infinite canvas. Unlike a physical whiteboard with limited space, Miro allows you to expand your ideas without constraint. This is perfect for brainstorming sessions, where a group can mind map, create flowcharts, or build strategy diagrams all in one shared space. The freedom to zoom in on minute details or zoom out for a high-level overview makes it easy to manage projects of any scale.

Beyond the blank slate, Miro offers a vast library of templates for a wide range of use cases, from agile ceremonies like retrospectives and stand-ups to user journey maps and SWOT analyses. These pre-made frameworks save time and ensure that even the most complex processes are structured and easy to follow. The platform's seamless integrations with popular tools like Slack, Jira, and Google Drive also mean that Miro fits effortlessly into existing workflows, eliminating the need to constantly switch between applications.

The user experience is incredibly intuitive. Miro's interface is clean and easy to navigate, making it accessible for everyone, regardless of their technical skill level. Features like real-time cursors, commenting, and voting tools make synchronous collaboration feel natural, while the ability to work asynchronously means teams can contribute from anywhere, at any time. For any team that values clear communication and wants a single, dynamic space to innovate, Miro is an indispensable asset.
What do you dislike about the product?
One common critique of Miro is that its robust feature set can create a steep learning curve for new users. The sheer number of tools and options can feel a bit overwhelming at first, making it a program that requires some time to get used to before you can really take full advantage of its power.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Miro excels at solving the problems of fragmented communication and siloed work. In many workplaces, especially with hybrid or remote teams, ideas, feedback, and key documents are scattered across emails, chat threads, and various disconnected applications. Miro provides a single, central hub for all of these things. It's a place where everyone can see the same canvas, at the same time, ensuring that the entire team is aligned and working from a shared understanding. This eliminates the need for endless email chains or searching through chat history to find a crucial piece of information. The most significant benefit is a dramatic improvement in communication and a reduction in the time spent on administrative tasks, allowing more focus on creative work.

For a field like architecture, which is inherently visual and collaborative, Miro is a game-changer. The infinite canvas is perfect for the initial, messy stages of a project. I can start with a central concept and then mind map outwards, adding sticky notes, images, and links to research without any spatial limitations. This process helps to organize early-stage thoughts, identify key themes, and ensure that all stakeholders' ideas are captured and considered.

What do you like best about the product?
I like to use Miro's board for specific purpose flowcharts, Mind maps, Kanban, and frameworks. I use the Miro platform at work daily to plan the development of the application and bring ideas to life. However, I like that Miro integrates with numerous platforms and tools. An Essential Collaboration Hub

  • August 13, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Miro has become an indispensable tool for our team, and I wanted to share some positive feedback.

1. Collaborative Power: The platform excels at fostering real-time collaboration. It has been fundamental in keeping our team connected and aligned, especially in a remote setting.
2. Creative Meetings: Miro allows us to lead a wide variety of meetings—from brainstorming sessions to project retrospectives—in a highly creative and engaging way. The flexibility of the canvas is a game-changer.
3. Value-Added Plugins: A key differentiator is the extensive library of plugins and integrations. This provides immense value and functionality, allowing us to create powerful, customized workflows.

In comparison, a tool like Figjam feels quite limited in its capabilities. The rich ecosystem makes Miro a far more robust and versatile platform.
What do you dislike about the product?
1. Performance on Large Boards: As boards grow in complexity with hundreds or thousands of objects, I notice significant performance degradation.
2. Steep Learning Curve for New Users: While Miro is powerful, its vast feature set can be overwhelming for new team members.
3. Advanced Board Organization: On very large boards, navigation and content management become challenging. We would love to see more advanced organizational features, such as using different pages in the same board.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
1. Clarifying User Stories: During backlog refinement meetings, Miro is crucial for visualizing complex information. This directly benefits the team by providing a much deeper and shared understanding of the requirements before development begins.
2. Structuring Abstract Ideas: The platform is invaluable for organizing product ideas that are still in their early, conceptual stages.
3. Visualizing Team Planning: Miro helps us solve the problem of team alignment and activity planning. We use it to create a visual map of our upcoming tasks, sprints, or quarterly goals.

Excellent and Intuitive Visual Collaboration Tool

  • August 13, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The infinite canvas is by far the standout feature. It provides unlimited space for creativity and allows us to keep all relevant information, from initial brainstorming sessions to detailed project roadmaps, in one single, accessible place. The vast library of templates for things like customer journeys, Kanban boards, and mind maps is incredibly helpful for getting started quickly. Real-time collaboration is flawless; seeing my colleagues' cursors move and contribute simultaneously makes me feel like we're in the same room, even when we're miles apart. The integration with other tools like Jira and Slack is also a huge plus for our workflow.
What do you dislike about the product?
While the core features are very intuitive, mastering some of the more advanced functionalities can have a bit of a learning curve. Occasionally, very large and complex boards can experience some performance lag, especially when many users are active at once. However, these are minor issues compared to the overall value the platform provides.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Before Miro, our remote team struggled with scattered information across emails, chat threads, and various documents. It was difficult to maintain a clear overview of complex projects. Miro solved this by providing a single, shared visual space. This has centralized our planning, made our meetings far more engaging and productive, and gives everyone on the team instant clarity on project status and direction. The primary benefit is a significant boost in both efficiency and creative output.
