Flexible and Creative, But Needs Optimization

  • December 16, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like how flexible Miro is. I can zoom out and zoom right in, and nothing is pixelated. It provides a lot of options and opportunities for teams to get creative and share their thoughts online. I am able to upload my thoughts into a board and see in real time the edits my team is making, which helps enhance our marketing strategies and content opportunities. It's also great that I can work with my team wherever they choose to work that day. The initial setup of Miro was super easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
When I open the desktop app, it takes a lot of battery and my laptop begins to heat up. It can lag sometimes and take up a lot of data and memory. I think the backend needs to be optimized a bit.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Miro for brainstorming, content planning, and customer journey mapping. It lets me upload and see my team's edits in real-time, enhancing our marketing strategies. Its flexibility aids teamwork from anywhere, fostering creativity and online collaboration.

Revolutionized Our Team's Visual Collaboration

  • December 16, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I use Miro mainly to collaborate visually with my team for brainstorming, planning, and prototyping ideas, as it helps me overcome the challenges of working with a distributed team. It brings ideas to life and gets everyone aligned quickly in one shared space. I like how Miro makes visual collaboration easy and intuitive, using an infinite canvas to organize ideas without feeling constrained. The templates save a lot of time when starting a new project, and the real-time collaboration works brilliantly; seeing everyone's input appear instantly keeps the energy high and makes workshops feel dynamic and productive. The AI tools also save me time by automating tasks like creating tables or prototypes. Overall, it's made collaboration smoother, more interactive, and much more efficient.
What do you dislike about the product?
The main aspects of Miro that don't work as well are around organization and control. It can feel a bit overwhelming when boards aren't structured properly, and if objects aren't locked before sharing, things can get moved around by accident and this disrupts the flow. We've also encountered some permission issues across multiple instances within the organization.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Miro resolves collaboration issues with my distributed team by consolidating everything in one shared space, enhancing alignment. It simplifies visualizing complex ideas with its infinite canvas and tools. The real-time collaboration and AI tools make sessions productive, spark creativity, and boost efficiency.

What do you like best about the product?
I use Miro for creating timelines with elaborations on each task and a Kanban board for tasks that are in progress and completed. Miro enables me to provide clear details and move tasks around more easily, which is very helpful. It's a very useful visual tool, and I like the ability to choose colors and move items around easily. Setting up or transferring previously started boards was very easy, which I appreciated.
What do you dislike about the product?
Miro can scroll out very far and sometimes it is challenging to navigate
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Miro to create timelines and Kanban boards, which makes it easy to provide clear details and move tasks around.

The AI features in Miro are very good. They speed things up with theming and creating a strawman, which provides a basis for discussion.
What do you dislike about the product?

Essential Tool for Visual Collaboration and Workflow Management

  • December 16, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Miro has become an indispensable part of my workflow for visual collaboration and project planning. The platform excels in several key areas that have significantly improved my productivity:

**Tables:** The table functionality makes it easy to organize and structure information directly on the board. It’s perfect for tracking project details, creating comparison matrices, and maintaining organized data alongside visual elements.

**AI Review of Posts/Post-its:** This feature is a game-changer for synthesis and analysis. The AI helps me quickly review and summarize sticky notes from brainstorming sessions, saving hours of manual work and ensuring no insights are missed.

**Recap Videos:** The ability to create recap videos is fantastic for asynchronous collaboration. I can easily share what happened in a session with team members who couldn’t attend, making our remote work more inclusive and efficient.

**User Flow Diagrams:** Miro makes creating user flow diagrams intuitive and collaborative. The templates and smart connectors help me map out user journeys quickly, and the ability to iterate with stakeholders in real-time is invaluable.

Overall, Miro has streamlined how I work with teams and visualize complex information. Highly recommended for anyone doing collaborative work, UX design, or project planning.
What do you dislike about the product?
What could be improved:

Slide Presentation Mode: While Miro excels at creating rich, layered boards, the slide view can become challenging when working with complex projects that have multiple layers. When you have numerous elements stacked or overlapping, transitioning to presentation mode doesn’t always clearly communicate the intended narrative. It becomes difficult to make sense of all the content, and the presentation flow can feel cluttered or confusing.
I’d love to see Miro improve how slide presentation handles layered content—perhaps with better automatic layer management, clearer visual hierarchy in presentation mode, or tools to help organize complex boards specifically for presenting. A more refined slide presentation experience would make it easier to share our work with stakeholders without having to simplify or recreate boards just for presentations.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Miro bridges the critical gap between strategy and execution for our team. The biggest challenge we faced was translating high-level strategic thinking into actionable operational work—and Miro has been a game-changer in solving this.
We use Miro as our central workspace to move seamlessly from strategic whiteboarding sessions to concrete deliverables.

Intuitive UI, Excellent for Team Collaboration

  • December 16, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I use Miro to create workflow diagrams and ERDs for system architecture. I like the various types of shapes available and the functionality to work with other teams. It's helpful when I can directly add directions after each process diagram. I also appreciate using the database shapes to inform design specs in database design. Additionally, I like the user interface of Miro better than Lucidchart, and I found the initial setup very easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think the cursor between clicking, commenting, and stickies. Right now, you have to manually click in and out of them but it would be better if clicking 'esc' disabled these features. It would be better if you clicked on the 'esc' button to get out of using those features. Right now you have to manually toggle them on and off and that slows things down during the design process.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Miro to create workflow diagrams and ERDs, solving the problem of visually creating workflows.

Intuitive and Efficient Tool for Tutoring

  • December 16, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I really, really liked the search function in Miro because it allowed me to quickly find older boards, which made my tutor prep more efficient. I also liked how intuitive and seamless the UI is, as it ensured that students could easily navigate the board. The learning curve was very quick, enabling me to focus on creating study materials rather than on the software itself. It was beneficial because my tutees and I didn't waste time learning the interface, even if it was their first time using Miro. The initial setup of Miro was very easy, and using it with my writing pad integrated well with no complaints.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish the search function could read PDFs which would be better for faster searching. I was often looking for a specific passage that was in my Miro board via a PDF and I couldn't find it via the search function.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Miro allows me to prepare slides and materials in advance and do real-time annotations during sessions. The search function helps efficiently integrate materials, and the intuitive UI ensures students quickly grasp the platform, enhancing focus on content rather than tool setup.

I like the freedom of use that Miro offers and the ability for organization and team cooperation. Miro allows active collaboration among members, which contributes to team organization in the management and execution of internal tasks. The possibility of aggregating different parts of a process into a single visualization is great. The initial setup was adequate, with no significant difficulties in use or problems with implementation in the team.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like improvements in the use of free boards and in permission management. Make it easier to add new users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Simplifies Virtual Brainstorming with Real-Time Collaboration

  • December 16, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I use Miro with my team to brainstorm product features, goals, and designs. It allows us to actively collaborate in the same setting without having to see each other in person, which is great since our team operates virtually. I like the 'sticky note' feature; it's as if there's a whiteboard in front of us where we can jot down important information and mark what's vital. I can color code them to sort out any discrepancies, making it easy to sort through information. I also enjoy the real-time collaboration that makes it easy to have full team brainstorm sessions. We used to use Figma, but Miro seemed more simple and user-faced for brainstorming. The initial setup was very simple and straightforward as we just created a board and invited everyone. We've already recommended it to someone.
What do you dislike about the product?
I like the idea of having an 'integrated calculator' feature. It feels like an all-in-one, but we have to go off-platform for specific calculations.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Miro allows my team to collaborate remotely for brainstorming and planning. The sticky note feature helps us prioritize information as if we were using a whiteboard, and real-time collaboration facilitates effective team sessions.

Effortless Collaboration and Sharing for Teams

  • December 16, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
very easy to use, collaborate and share among a team. Get updates on creation and showcase the process
What do you dislike about the product?
For us some text boxes are necessary and sometimes filling those in can be tedious without messing with the whole box. It's a small thing but it can get on your nerves in the creation stage if you have to type something in.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Miro enables the implementation team and other departments, as well as the customer, to track progress from the initial strategy phase through to completion. Once an area is approved, there’s no need to repeatedly ask about its current stage; the board clearly displays its progression, and each department can make updates as needed. This visibility helps us quickly identify any bottlenecks or slowdowns, and it’s easy to see if someone has questions. The board serves as a reliable reference point throughout the process.
