    Non-Profit Organization Management

Powerful but often clunky system when highly customized

  • May 17, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like that we can create our own custom objects and that everyone can see things in the same place in real-time with dashboards.
What do you dislike about the product?
I work in a highly customized instance of Salesforce meant for social workers, which is cool but is far from perfect for us-- it's not very user-friendly for those who don't spend all day at a desk. Also, the dashboards are limited and we have to use Google Data Studio for most internal reporting.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Seeing all of a client's information in one place and keeping it for the next time they might come to us saves us a lot of time.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Think before assuming that lots of customization will be simple for users to navigate on this platform

Powerful platform

  • May 17, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Salesforce is undoubtedly a very powerful platform. I don't believe there's ever been something I needed to do in terms of custom flexibility, reporting, or operations that I hadn't been able to setup. Also, very happy with the available integration options.
What do you dislike about the product?
For the size of the company and available resources one would expect they'd have figured out a more user-friendly interface. This cross-mix between Classic and Lightning is just making things worse, either roll it out or don't roll it out is my personal take, but I do understand that with great power comes added complexity that I certainly don't fully understand. Just hoping we'll soon be able to just standardize the experience. Also, the authenticator through the app is very cumbersome to use and fails frequently.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
From basic CRM needs, to advanced tracking and reporting, SFDC has been a pretty great partnership. Does come with a steep price, but the ability to do it all with one platform has been good.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
For starter businesses, there might be more cost-effective alternatives but overall Salesforce is a good enterprise option, with a lot of powerful capabilities.

Best CRM Tool

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Salesforce Sales Cloud is robust and can all the different needs of your company. You can customize the setup to fit any implementation for your sales team (as well as different sales groups).
What do you dislike about the product?
I do not like how cumbersome it can be to record data in Salesforce. I wish it could auto-track meetings that help and provide better ways to maintain good data hygiene.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Storing data to understand performance and trends as well as maintain a clean record of my history with the customer that I am working with. It helps keep all my notes and progress in one place.

An adequate CRM system that offers a lot of insight in processes.

What do you like best about the product?
Possibility to get a good overview of processes and to-do's through dashboards and data.
What do you dislike about the product?
Can be a bit too sober and takes adjusting to see data and comprehend it. Could help with a bit more colors and visualization tools. It is not an issue for the graphs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
An overload of projects that was not visibile to us. Also a good way to put in data of customers and stakeholders, the data is more up to date then before.

Quick review of SF

What do you like best about the product?
Powerful tool, you can search for very specific information. I learn something new everyday!
What do you dislike about the product?
Initially felt quite difficult to create reports and get relevant information, it's just a matter of time to get used to how the tool functions.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Trying to automate all manual tasks, trying to eliminate Excel sheets. Still to implement post sales and marketing cloud modules so can't comment on benefits yet.

    Higher Education

Strong product for higher education.

What do you like best about the product?
Platform customization and ease of use. Additionally, we like that product is global. We use bot a CTI integration along with dataloader to manage our data. We moved off our previous CRM because of the features I mentioned here.
What do you dislike about the product?
The learning curve was a little steep for our users. We have had to circumvent some of the built-in features so we could get the processes to work like we need.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We need a strong CRM platform that can make our student experience seamless. Our speed to lead process has improved by 25% and our students are experiencing a simpler process overall.

Salesforce is the best CRM solution out there

What do you like best about the product?
Salesforce is a complete tool. Although it is hard to grasp for non admins, if we do our job right it is a good way to remove pressure from development in terms of new automations and business management
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike the performance. It often takes too long to load. I also think there are aspects of it that should be improved from an end UX perspective.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have created several workflows using Salesforce already. On top of that, new automations don't always need to go to product, a lot can be done from Salesforce. Finally, Salesforce helps me feel the gaps in our data architecture by functioning as a "Sales and operations data mart"
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Do not underestimate setup and maintance. Also do not underestimate the actual architecture of the process you are trying to implement and keep in mind that sometimes things are hard to revert in SF.

Its ability to integrate our business Intuitive User interface, custom reports Our customer portal and licensing tool We think that it offers more capability
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing so far prevents our use of it No. It continues to improve at a pace that we struggle to keep up Nothing that springs to mind
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We started out with a need to manage our customers through CRM but now it is the backbone of our operations, making us more productive and better responsive to our customers

CRM with lots of different features

  • April 30, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Salesforce is useful for the following reasons:
1. If you have a huge amount of data, you can upload them on salesforce and do various manipulations on that data to get the desired result.
2. Salesforce also contains an oracle database which stores data. In salesforce, each table is considered an object. To retrieve any object details we have SQL query which we can run through workbench in salesforce.
3. Salesforce allows us to make frontend changes as we require through HTML, javascript and CSS.
4. Salesforce platform is very user friendly and anyone can understand it easily.
What do you dislike about the product?
Few things which salesforce lack are:
1. For data manipulation, takes lots of time. SO usually organisation uses another separate database to do manipulation.
2. The size which salesforce cloud provides is very less. So if any service contains huge data while doing any operation it gets stuck or takes lots of time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I used to work in an analytics company which contains lots of data. With that data, we used to upload CSV files on salesforce and through the backend we used to trigger python from the Salesforce platform. Few operations were also performed on salesforce. So here salesforce worked like front end and backend both ways. All the triggers are done from the salesforce side and then results are updated on salesforce again. We can understand data more effectively in salesforce through different charts.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
This is a very useful product from salesforce. Every company nowadays shifting to CRM based products and salesforce is one of the leading companies in CRM.
