A great product, but a steep learning curve

What do you like best about the product?
Salesforce is infinitely customizable. While it is pretty good "as is" for developing and maintaining customer lists it goes way beyond that if you ask it to. The best method for doing this though is to find a 3rd party company that specializes in customizing Salesforce for your industry, and pay them to do it.
What do you dislike about the product?
In our implementation of Salesforce, we have discovered that some of our less tech-savvy salespeople were (and still are) very resistant to the changeover. I chalk this up to a lack of willingness to change on their part, and not a flaw in Salesforce. Yes it is challenging to learn, but so is any new software. The best way to learn is by doing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Salesforce has allowed us to combine our CRM and our sales document creation, along with linking to our REP, so instead of having to keep multiple sets of documents in multiple areas, our sales and service team have easy access to see what is going on with the customers and better adjust their operations to serve the customers.

What do you like best about the product?
Salesforce can be used for all website needs from search to promotions to images. Managing all aspects of the website in one platform is helpful and makes cross-training easier. It is also customizable to meet different business needs.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some aspects of Salesforce can be hard to figure out, making it necessary to search through documentation. However, making immediate changes can also be problematic as some require manual replication, disrupting the business.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
When multiple coupons and discounts are running simultaneously, it can be challenging to manage them. However, you can determine which deals you want to work with and which you do not within Salesforce. You can also build multiple consecutive campaigns to house different types of discounts, making them easier to manage.

What do you like best about the product?
Salesforce is a critical lynchpin between our marketing team and sales organization, organizing and synchronizing our go-to-market and prospecting efforts.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is so much configurability that without good internal data and process governance it's easy to create multiple (fields and filters) views of "the truth."
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
New business acquisition ... specifically signing new accounts and expanding business within existing accounts.

What do you like best about the product?
The Salesforce platform has played a crucial role in managing our unique business operations. We greatly value Salesforce Sales Cloud's adaptability. What appears to be a straightforward marketing tool is, in reality, a vast collection of robust components that could be assembled into intricate, automated patterns. We were able to accomplish our goals because of Salesforce's adaptability and centralized entry bar.
What do you dislike about the product?
Numerous features that would increase our productivity have been requested for years but have not yet been implemented. It was difficult, if not impossible, to predict the consequences of certain restrictions, such as those imposed by the data architecture. Moreover, additional functionality for the built-in reporting features is highly desired.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
My organization's cybersecurity processes and implementations are lengthy and complex, requiring several months to complete and involving multiple variables. With the assistance of Salesforce Sales Cloud, we were able to connect all of these moving parts and ensure that our mission would be accomplished successfully. Due to the ease with which data could be imported or exported and even extracted, we are now able to collect and distribute even more information.

Easy to understand, with strong features

What do you like best about the product?
Salesforce is our most reliable CRM. It has worked flawlessly for us thus far, allowing our sales representatives and management staff to monitor and evaluate all sales activity and outcomes. I appreciate the report generator. It offers a well-designed user interface, a customizable API, and compatibility with numerous third-party applications. The knowledge it provides enables us to create preventative and predictive business planning.
What do you dislike about the product?
Its user interface lags far behind its rivals, particularly in the kanban view. Hubspot's offering and scalability are attracting a growing number of clients.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I experienced issues with web to leads. When a client submits a record, it does not appear in the organization's database due to duplication. There is also needed mapping when converting a lead by adding a custom field and transforming it into an account, contact, or business opportunity.

What do you like best about the product?
Salesforce is a one stop CRM solution with with multiple cloud based solutions to take your business to next level.
3 yearly updates which keeps you updated without you doing anything. No security, no maintenance issues.
Salesforce provides their own learning platform which helps to leverage more out of the Salesforce Sales cloud.
What do you dislike about the product?
Opportunity to lead creation implementation should be implemented is in better way to leverage more from sales person perspective.
Performance of platform depends on Developers and complexity of business logic.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I work for consulting company who provides solution on Salesforce. I'm 5x Salesforce Certified and gold at implementing sales cloud.
We help businesses to bring their business on Salesforce platform. Salesforce's customisation help a lot to leverage more.
We also integrated other Salesforce clouds to bring more out of it.

What do you like best about the product?
One stop app for many tasks, it helps massively to sort and finish your tasks from one software
What do you dislike about the product?
Too much of a learning curve to fully use the software to its full potential, and also it is on the more expensive side compared to some other tools out there

Data management and presentation to the leadership teams. Helps connect better with the customer leading to loyalty.

What do you like best about the product?
Now that Salesforce Sales Cloud is a part of our infrastructure, we can track insights or visibility into various business-health metrics. Our company's primary database is Salesforce. We can effortlessly link emails to contacts without logging into Salesforce. CRM has inevitably led to a greater reliance on the platform itself, as opposed to email and a shared DropBox or Google Drive, for managing customer interactions.
What do you dislike about the product?
It would be great if the Dashboard's features were more adaptable. We track the number of data points that are interconnected. Rather than presenting a more integrated report perspective that highlights a variety of information in an easily consumable manner, we frequently must create multiple reports to illustrate the data we wish to highlight.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Before implementing Salesforce Sales Cloud, we did not have a customer relationship management system. We now have a centralized, secure location from which to track the status of orders from inception to fulfillment and beyond. The reporting mechanism provided by Salesforce Sales Cloud enables us to provide our executive team with significantly more in-depth information about the company's status.

What do you like best about the product?
We love how highly customizable Salesforce Sales Cloud is. HLC is a non-profit association and we've leveraged the Salesforce toolkit to support our highly specialized business processes. What at first glance appears to be just a sales and marketing tool is, in fact, a giant box of robust building blocks that can be assembled in complex, automated ways. The flexibility and relatively low bar of entry for obtaining skills in Salesforce helped us achieve our goals.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are a lot of requested features that would help us be more efficient that, in some cases, have been waiting years to be implemented. Some of the constraints were hard or impossible to predict, especially those related to data architecture that created obstacles for us down the line. We'd love to see more capabilities in the built-in reporting tools as well.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
HLC manages the accreditation of higher learning institutions in many states across the US. This is a complex, ten-year cycle with many variable touchpoints. Salesforce Sales Cloud gave us the tools needed to link these pieces together any number of ways and ensure that we are able to successfully perform our mission. Additionally, the ease by which data can be imported, exported, and extracted has allowed us to extend what we do with the information we collect and distribute.
