Dynatrace: A game changer for APMs

What do you like best about the product?
Dynatrace does not just give you infrastructure health but every single detail you need to monitor your whole application from backend services to your front end application.
What do you dislike about the product?
From the day we started using Dynatrace there was nothing that we did not like about Dynatrace as it it has been a very helpful tool in our application and our infrastructure.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Dynaatrace changed our way of monitoring from a reactive perspective to a very proactive approach, the AI of Dynatrace lets us correct mistakes in our application before they even become problems.

What do you like best about the product?
Can save you time in problem or code behavioral investigation(avoid adding logs etc)
Quick one-time installation process.
Just working :)
What do you dislike about the product?
The UI/UX is a little slow and sometimes buggy.
It takes a while to get used to.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Live debug without performance issues. Don't need to add logs -> saves time.

What do you like best about the product?
Really cool tool. Developer experience is great.
Once you are familiar with the UI, it is really plain simple to get insights of your app.
What do you dislike about the product?
Needs to be familiar with Rookout UI.
Debugging ThreadLocal would be a great feature.
Would like to edit multiple breakpoints at a time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Reducing the time to find issues in production without deploying new code.

What do you like best about the product?
It gives you a lot of observability of all of your infraestructure and you can make a lot ot decisions with all the information they give you, also you can use that info to create usefull dashboards
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the complexity is to much to for nontechnical users, even the university cant give sometimes a lot of details about something because of the complexity they have
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It solves the problem of infraestructure observability across a lot of servers and also the oportunity to see all of that information in one place, in an automated way.

What do you like best about the product?
network Dashboards and purepaths. Enjoy the SaaS product

SSO and user authentication, and the amount of data could be refined as there are a lot of false positives with DAVIS.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Allows us to pinpoint application issues and RCA for exceptions or failed API calls.

What do you like best about the product?
Dynatrace is not doing a sampling. their agents not use lots of source (cpu or memory). Syntetic monitoring and rum really good, And also screen recording very good
What do you dislike about the product?
Its to expensive, and also managed server when working with other agents its too network traffic, the other dislike maybe dash board can be more user friendly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have lots of performance problems in our application, when we start with the dynatrace we solved lots of them, dynatrace help to our development teams for more effective development

Lack of documentation, migration could be easier and ease of access administration.

The root cause analysis and Dynatrace monitoring
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the dashboard features and tagging does not work as expected. Events such as process restarts just give the timeline and event name but they do not give details about the root cause or do not give the option to drill down further from the view to analyze the root cause.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Prompt information about the response time hotspots and problems.

What do you like best about the product?
Ease of install, and the wide variety of features available. This provides us with endless potential to improve form IT response and go further into business insights.
What do you dislike about the product?
Lots to learn, and there are some inconsistencies in functionality. Some of the dashboarding is not user-friendly and formatting it to show useful insights can be difficult.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our first focus is to improve monitoring and alerting to drive down user report incidents and become more proactive. Once stable we want to move onto business insights and start providing value to team outside of IT.
