Excellent product, with a few too many manual steps

What do you like best about the product?
Easy installation and discovery. Maps out infrastructure, services, and applications to give a total view of your product.
What do you dislike about the product?
The lack of API support; everything that I currently need to do through the web interface should be done through API calls (I.e., set anomalies, enable plugins, etc). Additionally, I would like a way to configure the agent after installation so that data can be sent to a different environment, this would simplify our dev/testing/prod/EUDP concerns.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We lacked full support and error tracking across various services in our application. With Dynatrace we can get full insight into our applications’s Performance and issues. The root cause analysis process when using Dynatrace is greatly simplified.

Easy to do problem solving!!

What do you like best about the product?
It is easy to use, very detailed analysis report.
What do you dislike about the product?
Since there are more options, we need to spend time learn and use it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As I am a application developer I can go through the understandable error logs, easy to drill through the exceptions given less time to identify the root cause and fix the issue.

It is an end to end product that helps not only us admins but also our developers

Sometimes you have to do lots of click to see the problem.

Helps the developers when move from one version of Java to the next

What do you like best about the product?
Session replay looks to be something that could change the way applications are troubleshot.
What do you dislike about the product?
Migration from appmon does not have a clear path.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
None yet as our client is still on appmon however we hope to transition to Dynatrace soon.

What do you like best about the product?
Purepaths allow for insight that many tools will not give.
What do you dislike about the product?
The previous licensing model around agents per a technology type is limiting in using the tool with ever changing technologies.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Determining bottlenecks in our environment.

What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use. Good insight into user sessions and experience. Good viability into code errors.
What do you dislike about the product?
None but for sake of improvement. Dynatrace can also look at competitors while rolling new features. I am sure they might be but just a recommendation.

What do you like best about the product?
Troubleshooting, deep dive analysis, performance tuning, alerting and monitoring.
What do you dislike about the product?
Tech support is not very good. Sometimes condescending.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use DynaTrace AppMon and dcRUM for troubleshooting production issues as well as alerting Ops Bridge as to trouble conditions. We can’t wait to monitor containers and AWS with the new Dynatrace!
Recommendations to others considering the product:
This is a pricey set of tools but worth the money.

What do you like best about the product?
I like the way the product paints the map. Most of the time we application support group will not have a complete flow diagram of the apps.. Dynatrace helped to know how the apps interact with downstream componnets
What do you dislike about the product?
Too much data is overwhelming. There should be (I believe there is) much filtering options to see a particular component in details.Missing bunch of JMX metrics......
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Application Flow Diagram - We use this to build application architecture...(smile face)
It’s Developer friendly ...they can pin point the issues in lower environments before go to production.

Architecture of dynatrace which is defining its extend ability
What do you dislike about the product?
So far not available across all platform. More of cloud integrations and bit of simplifications will also help .Reorganisation of navigations in client will help as well
