Excellent Monitoring with Dynatrace

What do you like best about the product?
Display all crucial activities like CPU usage, DB hits, longest running requests, response time etc. Graphical display of errors, issues and warning during a request processing with various color codes. Error Transaction Very good tool to monitor your production environment. Clicking pure-path/url of a request gives you all related details for that transaction using the dril-down functionality.
What do you dislike about the product?
Displays not responding when you rapidly click 5-10 times on its screens.Needs detail training and experience to start using it. There are details which we could only know after using it years. Being a large application, its customization is also not so easy. D
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Application and Production monitoring.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Great product in it's competitive market.Gives you a lot of flexibility to use it in different ways.

What do you like best about the product?
The new oneAgent and AI system that is able to set itself up,identify, and categorize everything on the system and provide all that information within minutes. It also has the ability to automatically identify problems, and when they’ve resolved.
What do you dislike about the product?
Currently you can group systems but you can’t define certain parameters for that group. Being able to define parameters for the group such as having a homogeneous system configuration would be helpful, this way the AI could pick up when a system was out of configuration and bring up a problem/alert.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Currently it is being used for real-time monitoring of disk systems and memory utilization of an in-memory data grid. It helps with startup times and bringing up the platform and is very effective at determining the speed at which we can start the other parts of the platform.

What do you like best about the product?
The ability to identify issues quickly from across the stack to find problems early before they become service impacting. Previously this would have been a complicated process of data retrieval from a number of sources with potential blind spots that Dynatrace has now highlighted.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is so much information and data it has been quite daunting for the team, new to the system, to know where to look or to always know they’re looking in the right place.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It’s initial implementation was to allow us better monitoring to prevent customer impacts from system issues.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Trial it on one of your applications. You will see the benefit almost immediately.

What do you like best about the product?
Diagnostics tools: thread dumps, memory dumps, cpu sampling. This tools help me to reduce the time analysis.

Also you can define a chart of a Java method to obtain response time, throughput over the time.
What do you dislike about the product?
Alert configuration possibilities. For example, define an alert by ocurrrences number.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Performance problems in login, websites and internal applications:bottlenecks, blocks, high cpu consumption.

Superb monitoring tool with easy deployment

What do you like best about the product?
The way AppMon is able to tell me everything about app from top to bottom and ease of deploying one agents with 0 configuration.
What do you dislike about the product?
Lack of self monitoring and alerting. The internal components can be down and ops needs to be alerted of this situation.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have reduced the time to resolution for our issues and outages and provided insights into the relationship of various services.

What do you like best about the product?
Dynatrace provides visibility into applications at ease and helps reduce time to action for problems both proactively and reactively.
What do you dislike about the product?
The amount of data collected by Dynatrace can be intimidating. However, the company has made great strides to provide a quicker analysis of data related to detected problems. This can be seen especially between AppMon and the new Dynatrace Saas/Managed platform.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Application performance degradation in general is our main focus with Dynatrace currently. This often results in identifying unoptimized database queries as well as slow response times from 3rd party external calls.
